Priya Amal Raj (Kajol) lost her mother at a very young age. She is friendly, outspoken, sensitive, yet precocious. Priya is brought up by her dad, Amal Raj (Girish Karnad) who is a clothing industrialist. Since her childhood, Priya is interested in singing, music and church.
Thomas Thanga Durai (Arvind Swamy), a polite, well mannered NRI business man, returns to India from America to look after his father’s James Thanga Durai’s (S. P. Balasubrahmanyam) business. Thanga Durai is a former associate in Amal Raj’s business, and now establishes his own business empire in the same vicinity, opposite to Amal Raj’s factory. He boasts of his sons achievements. However, Amal Raj dislikes Thanga Durai’s ill-mannered, clumsy and bizarre antics though Thomas and Priya have known each other in their childhood.
Thomas, happens to meet Priya at her school when he goes to a woman’s hostel to see his aunt, Mother Superior (Arundhati Nag) a nun in that school church. Thomas takes Priya’s help in surprising his aunt with a gift on her birthday. In the process, Thomas falls in love with Priya but is unable to confess his love for her. Priya has been brought up in a convent school and wants to become a nun, much to the horror of Thomas and Priyas father. Meanwhile, Amal Raj tries to pull Priya into wedlock through setting up match making with some suitors like Jaipal (Prakash Raj), David (Ranvir Shah) etc., but he fails to fix an alliance for his daughter. In the midst of this, Thomas’s friend Shiva takes him to hairstylist Deva (Prabhu Deva) who is notorious at changing women’s minds. Deva befriends Priya to change her mind about being a nun.
At one instance, Priya performs singing at a Gala along with Deva’s troupe, which puts the troupe into the limelight of a recording theatre owner. Deva requests Priya to join his aspiring music troop as a singer and help them achieve the group’s aspiration for a film audition and Priya agrees to it. Deva with his musical troupe (Nassar and his group) play tricks to make Priya fall in love with Thomas, but fails to turn Priya’s mind towards Thomas. Instead, Deva himself falls in love with Priya and she reciprocates.
Complications arise when Priya falls in love with Deva instead, and at the same juncture, Thomas confesses his love to Priya and reveals the shocking truth behind Deva’s association with Priya. Torn between the two men, a broken-hearted Priya decides to vow for Nun trainee and fails to fulfill her promise for the group’s music audition. Thomas realises this at the end and sacrifices his love. Thomas and his Aunt convince Priya out of celibacy and marry Deva. Thomas becomes a priest as he naturally leads a life of service to the poor, sacrifice and mental chastity.At the climax, it is shown Deva and Priya get their daughter baptised by Thomas.This is the plot of the story.

They decide to make a movie out of lives of three varied personalities; Shiva the middle class funny lad, Simha the angry goon, Gaurav the spoilt dude and as usual how love can change perspective and what happens in the end forms the plot.

Two youngsters in the pursuit to become the leaders of their gang without violence, find themselves in an uncanny situation that would change their lives forever.

Siva Rao (Veerasanthanam) is a Thol Pavai puppeteer. He and his family go around villages, performing the art for his survival. He is struggling to make both ends meet.
When they land up in Tirunelveli, a rich man Chelladurai (S. Theodore Baskaran) decides to support the family, for his young grandson Jothi (Jai) loves the art and their family. Thamizharasi (Nandhagi), iva Rao’s granddaughter, is enrolled in a local school, who grows up and works hard to pass out in flying colors in her higher secondary.

Pasupon, right in the heart of the Tamil campaign. Marudhu (Vijayakanth), farmer with a big heart, stays the up its elder sister Vallikannu (Srividya) married to a good-for-nothing, Chinnukaruppandevar (Goundamani), as well as his niece, foster daughter, beautiful Pandhimeena (Radha). Because one day, Meena, accompanied with her mother, asks for an explanation to the one who deceives with his father, this one throws her of out of the house. The young woman, sensitive to all these attentions, eventually falls in love with the farmer and mutually. Marudhu learns by Gowryshankar, the sad episode, where Sandhiya had to be her daughter-in-law and finally it did not come true because his son left in the lurch them at the last moment. Since the old man denied him and set under his wing Sandhiya. Marudhu promises to him at this moment, when she will be his wife, to the immense happiness of this one. But Meena surprises the lovers without their knowledge. Later, Marudhu explains to Meena and to her elder sister, the tragic past of Sandhiya and cannot thus start again, at the moment its word. Sandhiya would not support a new sentimental failure. Discouraged because lover also and for a long time, from her part, Meena pretended to poison itself and asks as ultimate wish before dying, of being the wife of Marudhu. But in front of the misfortune which strikes them, each makes a step towards the other one. Marudhu which did not speak anymore with her sister, becomes reconciled. Chinnukaruppandevar égoïte still not for so long that it, metamorphoses into good man. Marudhu fulfills all the desires of his wife Meena. At the time of giving up the ghost, he makes him understand that he likes by recognizing, by confirming that she is her wife. The burial of ended Meena, Marudhu turns to Sandhiya to admit him that he can never love another woman so much the memory, the music of his Meena, it are profoundly printed in him.

A happy-go-lucky man accidentally falls in love with a woman whose father despises him. To further complicate matters, his lover has another suitor, who is deemed more worthy of her.

Shakti (Madhavan) is a young man from a village with no job but much ambition and dreams. As he sees his life pass him by, stuck in a rut in his hometown, he decides that he will try his fortunes elsewhere. Chennai beckons him and off goes Shakti to join his uncle Kirikalam (Vadivelu), who has a stall of magic tricks at an exhibition. Kirikalam is not really a magician, but is posing as one, and his amateurish tricks don’t exactly bring in big crowds.
Next door to Shakti and Kirikalam’s stall though, is one ever-populated with visitors. The reason: it’s an all-girls stand, with mermaid costumes as the theme. Velli (Reema Sen) is the ‘head mermaid’ at this stall run by her sister, and bitter quarrels between her and Shakti ensue, when he feels that she and her team are unfairly taking their customers away, and she has this impression of him being an unsavory character. This misunderstanding is seen at different occasions where Velli and Shakti just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time — be it when Shakti gets off the bus from his village, asks for directions and is told to follow Velli, walking in the distance (Velli thinks he’s a womaniser) or when Shakti finally catches up with a miscreant who had picked his pocket and demands his money back — only Velli walks into the scene only at the demanding part. This whole collage of scenes is animated, with Kirikalam and Shakti trying to woo customers back to their stall, Shakti and Velli getting into arguments, and a general state of “fun” ruckus. Of course, love has been brewing as an undercurrent between the two young people.

Arun (Siddharth) and Parvathi (Amala Paul) give an interview about their love story. But they fight even before the interview gets over. Then the movie rewinds 5 months earlier. Arun meets Parvathi in a college canteen and soon they become friends. Parvathi has problems at her home as her mother Saroja wants to divorce her father Akilan. Arun and Parvati fights for trivial reasons and then get together. Movie revolves around how little things may contribute to break ups.

Ajay Raj, Ganesh and brothers Jagapathi Babu and Ram Babu are close friends who spend a lot of time together in Chennai. Ajay is a television actor, Ganesh is a fun-loving engineering student who falls in love with every woman he sees, Jagapathi Babu is an engineer who is married and has a six-year-old daughter, and Ram Babu is Jagapathi’s younger brother who lives with him.
Ram is in love with Pooja, but before he has a chance to tell her, Pooja tells Ram that she is in love with Ajay. Pooja and Ajay eventually get engaged, leaving Ram heartbroken. He soon forgets his grief and has a good time with Ajay, Ganesh, and Jagapathi.

The film revolves around Krishna (Jai), who works in an IT company. He has three friends: Ramesh (Karunakaran), a bank cashier; Moideen (Kaali Venkat), an auto driver; and Souwmya (Naveen George Thomas), a call center executive. Krishna goes on a vacation with his colleagues, where he falls in love with his colleague Divya (Pranitha). Everything goes fine in the initial few days, and their love life is a bliss. One day, Divya breaks up with Krishna, citing a reason she is going to marry someone else. Krishna gets depressed and consults a psychiatrist Muthu Vinayagam (Thambi Ramaiah). Muthu advises Krishna to get in touch with his friends whenever he feels depressed. Krishna reaches out to his three friends, who turn out to be busy with their personal lives. Krishna gets dejected, rents a lodge, and gets drunk. He calls up his friends and threatens them that he is about to commit suicide. Realizing their friend is in serious trouble, they immediately act upon to reach out to him. As they are unaware of his location, they are not able to find him. During the search process, all three of them get into various troubles for no fault of their own. Will they be able to reach out to their friend and stop his suicide constitutes the rest of the story.
