A young girl is torn between an obsessive lover and a mild-mannered suitor.

Karuthayya (Murali) and Peter (Manoj Bharathiraja) are the best of friends, sharing with each other their hopes and dreams. Karuthayya’s plan to get his beloved sister Kayal (Umashankari) married elsewhere is thwarted when he learns that she is in love with Peter. He hears this from Uppili (Pratyusha), who has a soft corner for Karuthayya and vice versa. For his sister’s sake, Karuthayya approaches Peter with the marriage proposal. A shocked Peter, who had all along shared an easy relationship with Kayal, consents for the sake of friendship. Peter then makes a counter proposal that Karuthayya marry his sister Maria. Peter however withholds the fact that Maria had been seduced by a man from the city and was carrying his child. Family honor being uppermost in his mind, friendship takes a back seat. But Peter does not know that Karuthayya was already aware of his sister’s affair, though not of her pregnancy. Karuthayya, knowing his friend’s aggressive nature, had not told Peter about the matter earlier. Karuthayya now throws the ball back in Peter’s court, asking him to first get Maria’s consent. Sure that Maria would not give her consent for the marriage. But to his shock Maria agrees.
Forced by her mother and Peter to toe the line, she had no other option. The two pairs get married. While Peter and Kayal are blissfully happy, Karuthayya and Maria have their own crosses to bear. A guilt-stricken Maria finally confesses to Karuthayya about Peter’s treacherous act. A shocked and hurt Karuthayya goes to confront Peter. The man from the city appears on the scene. A furious Peter takes the unsuspecting youth on a boat ride, ties a stone on him, and dumps him into the sea. Karuthayya, who reaches the place, tries to save the guy.

Thirupathisamy (Mammootty) owns a provisional store and is the eldest among four brothers, and all live together in a home along with their parents (Delhi Ganesh and Srividya). Thirupathi is widely respected by everyone in the family and was responsible for bringing back their family to a good state after financial troubles a few years back. He gets married to Bharathi (Devayani), who is a lot more responsible and kind to everyone. Madhavan (Murali) is the second son in the family who assists Thirupathi in managing their provisional store. He is innocent and gets married to his relative Renuka (Rambha), but she is short-tempered and picks up quarrels often. Kannan (Abbas) is the third son in the family, and he goes to college where he falls for his classmate Viji (Sneha). Viji is the only daughter of a rich arrogant man (Vijayakumar). Surya (Shyam Ganesh) is the youngest son and studies in college.

Ganga (Jyothika) lives in a village and secures state second rank in XII board exams. Although she wishes to pursue engineering, her father Veluthambi (Murali) plans to get her married to Adhithya aka Adhi (Madhavan) who also hails from the same village. Adhi is a fun loving person who has just completed his law degree and prefers to enjoy his bachelor life and is not interested in marriage.
Adhi comes to the village and meets Ganga trying to convey his feelings. To his surprise, Ganga also is not interested in marriage as she wants to study engineering. Both of them decide to somehow stop the wedding by creating some problem before the wedding but all their effors go in vain as both the families get even closer following their plans.

Satyam (Prabhu Deva) is the carefree son of businessman, owner of Satyam mills Lakshmipathi (Moulee). Disappointed Lakshmipathi asks Satyam to spend three months alone on the streets of Chennai to learn the value of money. He would have no money and could not use the information of who he is and his education (paid by his father) to gain favour or make a living from anyone.
So Satyam sets out and from the very start, meets Divya (Laila), who plays an overexuberant youth girl, who cries or laughs constantly. In the next frame, he saves Meenakshi ‘Meena’ (Neha) in the style of MGR from would-be rapists, and in the third, he meets Julie (Kalyani), they both take each other as siblings.

Murugesan (Livingston) is a rich landlord in a village but is illiterate as well as innocent. He is in love with his cousin Maheshwari (Devayani) right from childhood. Maheshwari also likes Murugesan but she wants him to overcome his innocence and be brave. Santhamoorthy (Ponnambalam) is Murugesan’s half brother and enmity prevails between him and Murugesan. Chinthamani (Vindhya) is a dancer who comes to Murugesan’s village to perform. Chinthamani’s mother forces her into prostitution but Murugesan saves her and accommodates in his farm house.
Murugesan and Maheshwari’s wedding is fixed and the day before wedding, Santhamoorthy tries to kill Murugesan but Murugesan fights back the goons. Murugesan who is drunk now rushes to his farmhouse to get some weapons to kill Santhamoorthy. Chinthamani who lives in the farm house tries to stop Murugesan from committing the murder and accidentally they enter into a physical relationship. Murugesan feels guilty of the incident and wants to cancel his wedding with Maheshwari. But Maheshwari’s father (R. Sundarajan) convinces Murugesan to not cancel the wedding.

This movie is about how Vijay (Arjun) travels to a new location and fixes a marriage in tatters. Anitha (Divya Unni) and Sanjay (Vineeth) are on the verge of breaking the marriage when Vijay narrates his love story and makes them fond of each other. However, at the end of the movie, Vijay’s story was partially fiction as his wife Seetha (Sakshi Shivanand) is now dead.

Somewhere along the way, the duo falls in love, throwing some soft glances at each other when the other is not looking. Their college mate Karna (Yugendran), makes devious plans to separate the duo and make Chella his. He does not seem to have any running feud with Chinna, is quite friendly with the duo, and does not seem to be particularly in love with Chella. Chinna laps up all that Karna tells him about Chella loving him, and is heartbroken and goes out on a business trip. Chella, persuaded by both families to marry an NRI, boldly informs them that she loved Chinna and would marry him. The two families are happy. Chinna returns home and learns of the preparation for his engagement ceremony. Feeling that since Chella loved Karna, it must be family pressure that must have forced her to agree. Chinna then backs out. It is Chella’s turn to be indignant about Chinna’s mistrust of her love, and after giving him a piece of her mind, she backs out, with Chinna pleading for acceptance. After a period of separation, during which all ties between the two families are severed, Chella’s family soon come to realise that they cannot live without their dearest friends (and lover). The two families then reunite.

Meanwhile the pill that Frank took, Drix arrives in the body and covers Frank’s throat with ice to cover the irritation. Osmosis Jones becomes his newest partner.

Madhava (Madhavan) is a doctor, and a single appearance has made him the heartthrob of thousands of girls. He marries Simi (Simran), but a revelation about his past separates them and takes them as far as divorce. They remain friends though, even going so far as to fix up each other’s second marriages. Simi decides to get Madhava married to Chella (Sneha), a nurse at his hospital, while he tries to fix up her marriage with a dancer Azhagu (Lawrence Raghavendra). Madhava and Chella’s wedding and Simi and Azhagu’s wedding are on the same date. Azhagu then marries his cousin due to his father’s greed for wealth. Chella’s parents find out about Madhava’s past and call off the wedding. In the end, Madhava and Simi remarry. Chella marries Kumaran (Vivek), Madhava’s colleague, who was interested in her ever since he became Madhava’s understudy in the hospital.

Raj Singh Puri is best friends with L.K. Malhotra, who is the younger brother of J.K. Malhotra. The brothers are business tycoons and Raj works in their company.
Raj has three daughters. Their mother, Shalini Singh Puri, died in an accident while shopping. The first one, Avantika, gets married through arrangement. The second one, Sania, marries her lover, even though Raj said the family will not fit with their lifestyle and how they’re brought up. The last, Isha, doesn’t believe in love. Arivanandham is a man who runs a shop. He kidnaps three government officials and tells the press his name is Citizen by changing his appearance to their jobs. Meanwhile, CBI Officer Sarojini is given the case of finding the officials and capturing Citizen. She finds evidence that they link to a village called Atthipatti. She goes to a place, where they keep old maps of India. She notices that from 1970-80, the village was missing. She then inquires a Church Father who knows about Atthipatti. He gives them a box full of evidence about the village. She then discovers that the people of Atthipatti are under a old river, which is a construction site. She orders her men to dig it up, and they find corpses. Sarojini finds links to Arivadhanam but cannot identify him. Arivadhanam kidnaps the third man but is stuck in traffic. Sarojini is also in traffic. To clear the traffic, Arivadhanam creates a problem and sorts it out by donning a traffic inspector’s identity. Sarojini drops her handkerchief while in her car, then Arivadhanam swaps it with a paper and gives it to her. She accepts it, then Arivadhanam phones her and tells her she met with Citizen. Outraged, Sarojini decides to ambush his hideout. They track down his location, but he is nowhere to be found. They find masks, computers, and newspaper cuttings. Sarojini finds Arivadhanam in a mosque and arrests him. Arivadhanam is taken to court and is inquired about why he kidnapped the officials. He retells his memory.

Anbu, a dubbing artiste, falls in love with his sister’s friend Jyothi, who is in love with Gautham. Just when they are about to get married, an accident changes the course of their lives forever.

He does meet with the same girl, gets to know her name is Jyotika, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her mother, Sulo, while her dad is away on business. Both continue meeting not aware that her marriage has been arranged with Pratap. This story also depicts the possibility of Shakthi catching the 12B on time, attending the interview and getting hired, pursuing Jyotika in vain, and ending up in the arms of his co-worker, Priya. Both possibilities end up with Shakthi getting involved in a vehicle accident – and no guarantees that he will survive or wed Jyotika.

Indu and Chandru (Rambha and Karthik) fall in love. Indu does the disappearing act and Chandru gets engaged to Rekha (Mumtaz). Indu re-appears after three years with a little girl, who she claims is Chandru’s daughter. Chandru vehemently denies it and finding Indu’s presence an embarrassment tries to ferret out the truth. After many scenes of forced comedy, we learn that the girl is the illegitimate daughter of Chandru’s much-married brother, who had seduced Indu’s sister. After his brother’s futile attempt to play the villain, Chandru latches on to Indu fast enough with no apology to Rekha. But it is not really Chandru’s fault. For Rekha had done the disappearing act from the scene early enough without any explanation either.

When a visiting researcher tries desperately to escape, after mistakenly captured by police for an alleged theft in a temple, bizarre things start happening.

Dhill is the story about Kanagavel (Vikram), whose only dream is to become a police officer. He succeeds in passing the exams and wins a girlfriend Asha (Laila). One night after having dinner at a restaurant near the beach, Kanagavel goes to pay the bill, leaving Asha behind. At that moment a corrupt police officer Shankar (Ashish Vidyarthi) drinks and behaves indecently to Asha. He then attempts to assault her but is severely beaten up by Kanagavel, and he receives a scar on his face. Shankar, angered by this, seeks revenge against Kanagavel. Kanagavel kills Shankar and his goons.

The movie revolves around Chandru (Karthik) and his lover Niveditha (Malavika) in the backdrop of Ooty. Niveditha’s father Mahadevan (Manivannan) is against love marriages and he finds out that his daughter Niveditha is in love with someone. Mahadevan asks for the details of Niveditha’s lover. But Niveditha as per Chandru’s plan, hands over Azhagesh’s (Vivek) (who happens to be Chandru’s friend), photo to Mahadevan and informs him as her lover. Mahadevan sends some goons to attack Azhagesh and the proceedings happen comically.
Meanwhile, Chandru and Niveditha keeps planning on how to make Mahadevan nod for their wedding. One day, Mahadevan’s car gets repaired on the way. Chandru along with his family also comes on the same way. Seeing Mahadevan helpless on the road, Chandru picks him up and drops him at home thereby getting into good books of Mahadevan. Slowly, Mahadevan and Chandru become good family friends. But still, Chandru and Niveditha do not reveal their love to their parents and are happy that both families are in good terms now.

Rajkiran returns to his ancestral village after almost two decades only to find his house in a dilapidated state. While living in a neighbor’s house, he approaches an engineer to rebuild his house. Arun Vijay, son of an architect Vijayakumar is an architect himself who specializes in traditional building techniques. He agrees to rebuild their house of their liking. As the construction work progresses, Arun Vijay gets closer to Rajkiran and his family members. He befriends Shamitha, Rajkiran’s niece and eventually falls in love with her. When Rajkiran comes to know of this, he reveals the tragic past of his family which forced them out of their own village years ago.

Aravindan (Vijay), Chandru (Suriya), and Krishnamurthy (Ramesh Khanna) value friendship over everything else, even family. For this reason, Chandru resists the advances of Aravindan’s sister Amutha (Vijayalakshmi). Chandru and Amutha’s marriage is arranged. Gautham (Sriman) is Aravindan’s cousin who is in love with Amutha and wants to separate the pair. He makes Chandru believe that Padmini is trying to kill Amutha. Padmini is angry with Chandru. Aravindan tells the truth that in their young ages, he unknowingly killed Chandru’s deaf and mute brother. Gautham records this and makes Chandru hear it. Chandru and Aravindan fight and go by their ways. Aravindan tries to convince Chandru but falls from the top of a mountain. Chandru believes that Aravindan is dead, but after five years, he finds out that Aravindan is not dead but has ended up in a coma. Gautham is now torturing his family a lot. When he comes to know that Chandru has come back, he starts to beat him up. After hearing Chandru’s cry of pain, Aravindan wakes up from his coma. He beats up Gautham, and everyone rejoins and lives happily.

Selvarasu (Sarath Kumar) is the head of his family, and his two brothers Thangarasu (Murali) and Chinnarasu (Manoj Bharathiraja) are ready to give up their lives for him. The three brothers think the world of their sister Rasamani (Kaveri). A rich man (Pyramid Natarajan) from the neighboring village feels insulted when Thangarasu mishandles his son, and to take revenge, he makes Rasamani his daughter-in-law. Starting with taking away all the brothers’ wealth, he insults them at every opportunity while ill-treating Rasamani. At last in the climax, Rasamani’s husband and father-in-law reform and accept her and her brothers.

Badri (Vijay) is the youngest son of a family and a careless guy, always going around girls and enjoying with them. His womanizing habits are a source of heartburn for his father (Kitty). However, his elder brother, Vetri (Riyaz Khan), a kick-boxer and his father’s favorite son, is very fond of him. Janu (Bhumika Chawla), Badri’s neighbor, is in love with him, but it is just one sided as Badri considers her a good friend and a source of money and cars to impress girls (Janu’s father is a garage owner). He falls in love with Mamathi (Monal), a rich girl, and poses as a rich guy to impress her. However, she soon finds out Badri has lied to her. Mamathi dumps Badri and insults him in front of his father. Badri’s father, tired of his son’s antics, disowns him. Later Vetri is attacked by his enemies and is bedridden, unable to take part in the kick boxing championship. Badri decides to fight in his brother’s place to redeem his family name as his father always wanted his son to win the kick boxing championship. So he trains hard and fights against Rohit, who happens to be Mamathi’s new boyfriend. He defeats Rohit, redeems himself in front of his father’s eyes and finally accepts Janu’s love.

The film chronicles the early part of the life of Emperor Asoka. It begins with his career as a General in Taxila (modern-day Pakistan) and ends with the bloody conquest of the Kalinga country (modern day Odisha State)

But his grandson, Prince Asoka, claims his sword. The old emperor explains that this sword is evil and the sword demands blood and destruction.

Chitambaram does not want his daughter, Kausalya, to marry Suresh. Suresh then decides not to marry Kausalya without her father’s permission.

Nandu and Vijay are brothers, who were abused by their stepmother during their younger days. Nandhu, who is mentally ill, decides to kill Vijay’s fiancee as he visualizes her as his stepmother.

Murthy (Prashanth) earns his living taking the blame for the mistakes of other people, and so the jail is his second home. Dhanushkodi (Raghuvaran) has sworn to kill ex-collector Ramanathan’s (Vijayakumar) son Santhosh (Praveen Gandhi), and so, Ramanathan has transferred Santhosh to Mauritius while telling the world he has run away. Wishing to save his son, he hires Murthy to act as him, hoping Dhanushkodi would kill him instead of his actual son. Murthy too accepts the gig since his lover Preeti (Jyotika) is Ramanathan’s niece. In the climax, Santhosh supports Dhanushkodi for killing his father, but Dhanushkodi kills Santhosh. The film ends with Murthy taking the blame for killing Santhosh and surrendering himself to police.
