Inspector Ajit Rathod (Ajay Devgn) is on a mission to eliminate a notorious terrorist Azhar Khan (Rahul Dev) who killed his wife (Koena Mitra) and the latter is underground from the eyes of law and planning to destroy Mumbai. Now the story moves on to Amjad (Akshay Kumar), an auto rickshaw driver, who is searching his long lost brother Munna, and struggler Avinash (Tusshar Kapoor) who wants to be a star in Bollywood industry. Amjad wants to marry his lover Heena (Esha Deol). But her parents want her to marry a rich man. So Amjad plans to win her parents’ trust by a fake drama with Avinash and his friend to act as fake goons and they involve Rathod to arrest and win Heena’s heart. The plan goes wrong as real goons appear but Amjad fights them leading t Heena’s parents agreeing to marry her to Amjad. Avinash, who is a struggler, on the other hand, loses his job as an extra in films after an argument with an egoistic actor. A newcomer Indu (Laila Mehdin) is helped by Avinash to enter the industry and soon both fall in love with each other not knowing that she had been subjected to a compromise with the producer. Hopeless, Avinash decides to be an auto-rickshaw driver but Indu apologises and encourages Avinash to be a good actor. Soon, Avinash and Indu’s luck turns when the filmmaker (Asrani) casts them as leads in his next film after being impressed on their acting skills. Meghna, a news reporter (Lara Dutta) develops a liking towards Rathod, but the latter is still traumatised and angered on his wife’s death.

This movie is about how Vijay (Arjun) travels to a new location and fixes a marriage in tatters. Anitha (Divya Unni) and Sanjay (Vineeth) are on the verge of breaking the marriage when Vijay narrates his love story and makes them fond of each other. However, at the end of the movie, Vijay’s story was partially fiction as his wife Seetha (Sakshi Shivanand) is now dead.

Both the faces of Jana merge finally when his bete noire Bhandari comes out of jail to have his final round with him.

Rocket Raja (Karthi) is a small-time thief who steals anything he comes across. With his partner Kaatu Poochi (Santhanam), he enjoys life to its fullest and falls for Swetha (Tamannaah). However, his life changes when a small girl Divya Rathinavel (Baby Rakshana) ends up in his care; he looks exactly like her father Rathnavel Pandian IPS (Karthi).
As Raja discovers the girl’s past, it is revealed that Pandian is an honest policeman who is a nightmare to criminals, but that one gang of criminals in the village of Devi Pattnam are intent on killing him and his daughter because he killed the son (Amit Tiwari) of a prominent criminal Bavuji (Avinash), who also sexually abused women. Pandian’s colleagues put Divya in Raja’s care so that the criminals cannot take her. Pandian is on the verge of death following a gunshot to his head.
Vathiyar 2006
Dorai (Arjun) is a do-gooder don, but a police force led by ACP Easwara Pandian (Prakash Raj) and his sidekick (Sathyan) are after him. However, the poor need him as he is a Good Samaritan running an orphanage. He has help from his friends Subramani (Manivannan) and Ayyanar (Vadivelu). Dorai has a problem: his mother (Sujatha) doesn’t approve of his ways and feels he is just a loutish goon. There is also TV journalist Anjali (Mallika Kapoor), who is in love with Dorai because of his daredevil ways. Dorai has a past: he was just an honest-to-goodness schoolteacher who ends up as the deathly Dorai after a fire ravages a school and kills several children. The incident forces him to take on the system of venal officials and politics. Now, Dorai’s biggest task is to nip a dark and dire politician who wants to bomb the city. The rest, as they, are all cinematic clichés.
