Vishnu (Nakul) is on his way from Coimbatore for his new job and also to see his Fiance who is his uncle’s daughter. During his journey he meets Pavitra (Nikesha Patel) and upon his arrival in Chennai, problems begin. Simultaneously Narathan (Premji) a renowned movie director is at his uncle’s place who is also a movie producer. Narathan narrates his story to Vishnu’s uncle and interestingly all the incidents have been happening in Vishnu’s and all the other people’s lives.

The film revolves around two college friends where one is a new student. The new student falls in love with his friend’s sister without knowing she is his friend’s sister. The plot forms when he realize the truth.

Jeeva (Murali) is the college boy cum singer (with bundles of commitments belonging to the lower middle class) who enchants the rich college girl Kausalya (Kausalya) (new face – with girl next door looks) with his musical skills. Kausalya the music buff who is in the habit of appreciating good singers over the phone, does it with Murali also. The telephonic voice of Kausalya turns out to have a tremendously magical romantic effect upon the hero, who besides falling in love head over heel, with her wants to see her.

Arivazhagan (Manoj. K. Bharathi) is from Chennai and has grown up to be a good-for-nothing fellow because of the neglect and ill-treatment by the hands of his parents (Jaiganesh and Fathima Babu). His only aim in life is to be an irritant to his father. The entire family attends the marriage of Savitri (Richa) in Bangalore, and when the groom disappears, Arivu offers to take his place. When he moves out of the house to take up residence with his friends, she follows him there too. Initially irritated by her, Arivu realises that he is gradually falling in love with her.

They all finish their final year exams and try their level best to kick start their careers while they face some interesting situations in life. Nandini and her senior Kishore are in love. The film covers the coming of age of all these friends, as they try to solve a Rubik’s cube called life. It also covers a lot of issues like acid attacks on girls, suicides, misunderstandings, false prestige and so on.
