Iyer believes that dadas and rowdies must be eliminated through encounters. But his father thinks one does not have the right to take any life. Dada Venkatachalapthy plants bombs at various places in the city and puts the blame on Muslims. Iyer takes Venkatachalapathy into custody. His sons Pasupathi and Gajapathi try to kill Iyer. Now Iyer’s father turns against him and joins the villain. This sets off a chain of events leading to murders.
Bose 2004
Bose (Srikanth) is an Army commando. When Union Minister Kottaiperumal (Kalabhavan Mani) is kidnapped by terrorists, Bose goes on a daring rescue operation and manages to pull it off, Kottaiperumal makes him his personal security guard. However, Bose gets to know Kottaiperumal’s real side. When Kottaiperumal tries to misbehave with a college girl Charulatha (Sneha), Bose rises up in anger. In trying to save her, he ends up shooting Kottaiperumal. Though he escapes with some injuries, Kottaiperumal gets Bose sacked from the Army. Distraught and disconsolate, Bose lands in Chennai and meets Charulatha, who is a student in Kalashektra. Upon meeting her, the duo falls in love. However, Kottaiperumal is waiting for revenge and has his goons on Bose and Charulatha’s track. After some fights, Kottaiperumal’s men bump off Bose’s father (Manikka Vinayagam) and kidnap his family members and Charulatha. By then, Bose also stumbles upon the links of Kottaiperumal. All ends well, and Bose is reinstated in the Army.
Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai 2006
The movie begins with an orphan Ganesh (Srikanth) coming in search of a job at a petrol bunk in ECR. He manages to win the goodwill of the petrol bunk owner and gets a job there. An enmity grows in the older brother as he is always compared to his younger brother. The younger brother burns the photo of the older brother’s father as he was the reason for his defeat in the school’s kabbadi match. In retaliation, the older brother throws the younger brother into a well. Watching him get drowned in the well, the older brother runs away from the village.
Maaveeran Kittu 2016
Set in the year 1987, the movie depicts the life of Krishnakumar alias Kittu (Vishnu), a Dalit youth whose main ambition is to become a collector. He is influenced by the ideas of Chinnarasu (R. Parthiepan), a local Dalit leader who had also sponsored his education. Chinnarasu and Kittu try to fight against the rampant caste discrimination meted out to them by the upper caste people, but are unable to do much about it as the police and courts are biased towards the upper castes. One day, Kittu sees his classmate Gomathi (Sri Divya), who is from the upper caste, discriminate against a Dalit girl. He admonishes her publicly for her act of caste discrimination, which makes her repent her behaviour. Gomathi eventually falls in love with Kittu, but Kittu maintains a distance as they are from different castes, though he too is in love with her.
