Ji 2005
Vasu (Ajith Kumar) is a happy-go-lucky final-year college student who is forced to contest elections in the college after being persuaded by his friends Arun (Nithin Sathya) and Venkat Prabhu. He incurs the wrath of the local MLA Varadharajan (Charan Raj), whose son is studying in the same college and is also contesting the elections.
In the course of events, Varadharajan’s gang attacks Vasu and his friends. Vasu’s father Seenu (Vijayakumar), a tea shop owner, advises the students to take a plunge in politics and teach bad apples like Varadharajan a lesson. Taking cue from his words, Vasu does take the plunge in politics with the backing of college students and files a nomination for the assembly election in Kumbakonam constituency. Varadharajan is annoyed and angry at Vasu’s presumptuousness and tells him to back off from the elections. But Vasu goes ahead with his plans. Two honest and bold police officers Adhi Narayanan, (Kamal Hassan) and Abbas (Arjun Sarja) devise a masterful plan to bring a terrorist group in control, and send two secret vigilance officers, named Anand and Shiva on an operation called Operation “Dhanush”. The objective is to infiltrate a terrorist group headed by a man named Badri, and relay information back to Abbas. After a year while relaying information to Abbas, Anand gets caught, but he commits suicide before the terrorists can interrogate him. With information relayed by Anand, Abbas and Adhi know that the terrorists are picking up someone important and going to Trichy.

Vijay is a honest and kind guy who lives with a huge family and his friend Vivek. One day, he is approached by a person who tells him that his father owes him some money and he is to return it or his house would be taken away. Vijay discovers that a guy named Koccha based in Malaysia owes him a large amount of money, and so as a courier boy, along with Vivek, he flees to Malaysia. After some time he finds Koccha’s son-in-law and circumstances cause him to attack Koccha’s men. Then he finds Koccha’s sister and she falls in love with him. Her brother is forcing her to marry a corrupted person, and so with the help of her mother flees to India. He soon finds out that his father is being held as a slave in Kadappa, Andhra Pradesh, and has to figure a way out for all of them.

Nethaji saves the scientist Shivashankari (Manimala) from terrorists, and Charan (Charan Raj), a police officer, congrats him and arrests Baba. Dharma hurts Nethaji’s sister and Ammu, and later kidnaps the latter. Dharma threatens Nethaji to kill Ammu, and Nethaji is forced to kidnap Shivashankari. Nethaji kidnaps her and saves his niece, and later, Charan arrests him. The rest of story is how he will be able to prove himself innocent and punish the terrorists.

Set in the year 1987, the movie depicts the life of Krishnakumar alias Kittu (Vishnu), a Dalit youth whose main ambition is to become a collector. He is influenced by the ideas of Chinnarasu (R. Parthiepan), a local Dalit leader who had also sponsored his education. Chinnarasu and Kittu try to fight against the rampant caste discrimination meted out to them by the upper caste people, but are unable to do much about it as the police and courts are biased towards the upper castes. One day, Kittu sees his classmate Gomathi (Sri Divya), who is from the upper caste, discriminate against a Dalit girl. He admonishes her publicly for her act of caste discrimination, which makes her repent her behaviour. Gomathi eventually falls in love with Kittu, but Kittu maintains a distance as they are from different castes, though he too is in love with her.
Naan Kadavul 2009
For astrological reasons, a father (Azhagan Thamizhmani) has to leave his son Rudran (Arya) in Kashi for 14 years. 14 years later, repenting his act, he goes with his daughter in search of the boy. He finds him there but is shocked to learn he has become an Aghori, a fierce and tigerish sadhu. He brings him back to Tamil Nadu as he had promised the boy’s mother. The story takes a turn here and introduces us to the world of physically and mentally challenged beggars, a world controlled by the cruel Thandavan (Rajendran). Hamsavalli (Pooja Umashankar) is a blind girl who was with a group of street actors, but on one day was forcefully separated from her troupe and made to join the beggars controlled by Thandavan. Soon, she becomes a victim of his cruelty. Meanwhile, Rudran leaves his house to find his place in a small cave near a hill temple. One day, Rudran’s mother comes to plead with him to come back to their house but is unsuccessful. Hamsavalli tries to convince Rudran to return to his house, but fails. Thandavan makes a deal with another man of the same profession to sell some of his beggars to him for a tidy profit. He forcefully takes the beggars away and returns with a man with a deformed face trying to force Hamsavalli to marry him for 10 lakhs worth of money. Thandavan orders his men to bring Hamsavalli, but they take her to Rudran. Rudran kills the new man and is arrested, but is soon let go. This agitates Thandavan. Hamsavalli seeks protection and solace from the church, but Thandavan finds her and tortures her as she refused to marry the deformed man, thus making him lose out on a good amount of money. Thandavan beats up Hamsavalli. Rudran is shown wounded in his forehead, with blood oozing out. In a flashback, Thandavan appears face-to-face against Rudran and fights him, the result of the fight being the wound. Rudran kills Thandavan. Hamsavalli finds her way to Rudran and beseeches him to free her from her misery and the earthly life. Rudran slashes her throat and performs her last rites. In the final scene of the movie, Rudran returns to his guru in Kashi.
