The story begins at Ravana’s (Prakashraj) abode and the time of Ramayana when he orders his uncle Mareesan (Jayaram) to transform into a deer to abduct Seetha. Mareesan argues with Ravana but finally complies since Idumba (Raju Eswaran) and Ravana threaten the life of Mareesan’s lover (Samiksha). Finally the said thing happens and Mareesan gets struck by the arrow by lord Rama, he becomes a rock but not before he transforms Idumba into an anklet and wears it on his leg. Times change and the modern day comes. Rajaram (Nasser) is a very rich man who owns tea estates and he has Seetha (Saranya Mohan) as his dietitian and Sri Rama (Arvind Akash) as the cook. Both Rama and Seetha are in love, on the other hand Rajaram’s relatives (M. S. Bhaskar and Mayilsamy) plan a plot to take the property. In this process, they end up planning to kill Seetha by pushing her from a mountain top. Seetha falls directly on the rock idol of Mareesan and he gets his human form. At the same time, his anklet falls off and is eaten by a fish. That fish is caught by fisherman Manickam (Nasser again) and Idumba gets his human form. The age old enmity crops up and while Mareesan vows to protect Seetha, Idumba plans to help Manickam get Rajaram’s property as half brother. What happens from there forms the rest of the story..

The movie begins with Ramesh (Atharvaa) waking up in a hangover and remembering the events of the previous day. After a breakup with his girlfriend Madhu (Mishti), he drinks a lot along with his friend Nandhu (Karunakaran). On his advice, Ramesh calls for a female escort and sneaks her into his apartment. Ramesh has to step out of his house due to his neighbor Devi’s (Devadarshini) emergency situation. He asks the escort Nina (Anaika Soti) to wait inside his house, promising to come back soon. While he returns, he finds her dead. Ramesh is shocked and tries to find details about her. He sees restaurant receipts in her bag, checks the CCTV footages, and finds that another man Ravi (Prinz Nithik) had accompanied her prior to her meeting him. From her cell phone, he finds her house address, travels to Palakkad, and asks Nandhu to stay behind and guard the dead body. He is not able to find any information from Nina’s family and leaves, but Nina’s sister makes a call to Sekar (John Vijay) and informs him about Ramesh.

The story tells about a diamond(Green Emerald) molded with golden metal and seems like a coin called “Maragadha Naanayam”. The stone was given by a Goddess to a king for his penance for her to make him strengthen to fought against the enemies. And he conquer many other countries too. Till 1990 no one tried to take the stone because of fear for the king’s spirit, In 1990 someone took it from the tomb but is dies with ‘coz of the evil spirit of the king called “Irumbarazan”. 132 people will dies like that. The hero takes the job to take Maragadha Naanayam from a small Don for 100 million rupees coz that he needs 4 million ruppes for his liability. Who one touch the stone will be killed by Irumarazan, because of that every rejects the job to take the green stone business. By the help of an astronomer he finds a way to take the stone by calling a spirit who died from the stone for help.

A do-gooder man, who fights for the rights of the poor but is known as a rowdy, proposes marriage to a girl and she rejects him. Determined to woo her, he tries to win over her family but another admirer of hers tries to sabotage his image.

Siva and Abhirami are neighbours and close family friends. Their parents belong to the same village and have escaped to Chennai to lead a peaceful life, because the village is divided into two factions due to a generation feud. The parents wish to have get children married to each other which they see as the only way to put an end to the feud. But Siva and Abhirami are always fighting each other. They have two friends in love – Bhagath Singh and Sundarambal, who are separated by Sundarambal’s greedy smuggler father Kasinathan . A plan executed by Siva to help them unite leads to more problems and confusions. The rest deals with how Siva solves all the problems and successfully marries Abhirami and also helps his friends unite.

The story revolves around an insecure teetotaler Sarathy Raman (Karunas), who feels bad due to his dark skin (his wife Vasanthi (Karthika) is fairer than him), who is often the brunt of many jokes. Because he feels inferior to his wife, he begins to suspect her of infidelity and thinks that she will one day elope with a lover. After a misunderstanding, Sarathy and his mother are estranged, which further weakens the bond between Sarathy and Vasanthi. How Sarathy resolves his issues and gets back together with Vasanthi forms the rest of the story.

Maasilamani aka Maasi (Nakul) is an orphan living in a lower middle class colony. With a heart of gold, he is a popular guy who takes up local issues, fights for them, and is considered a rowdy by those who do not know him. Enters the heroine Divya (Sunaina), a rich upper middle class girl who is a dance instructor and with whom Maasi falls in love at first sight. Divya shows aversion to his rowdyism and gets offended with his proposal. Maasi attempts to win her family by being a good person and dons another name, Mani. All are aware that Mani and Maasi are one person except Divya. When Divya finds out the truth, she gets into a dilemma as whom she has to choose. Bhoopathy (Pawan), the local corrupt sub-inspector who is also behind Divya, is determined to flop Maasi’s plans and prove Mani is Maasi. How Mani wins over Divya serves the climax of the movie.
