The movie starts with Sugan (Karthi) and his friend Parasuram (Premgi Amaren) being chased by cops. The flashback shows Sugan as a womaniser who has a weakness for Biryani and Parasuram who is his childhood friend. Sugans womaniser attitude always gets him into a fight with his girlfriend Priyanka (Hansika Motwani). Sugan and Parasuram attending a function for branch opening of one of their offices where they meet Varadharajan (Nassar), who is the chief guest for the ceremony. In the meantime, its shown that a CBI officer Riyaz Khan (Sampath Raj) has been deputed to track Vardharajan’s illegal activities. Varadharajan gets impressed with Sugan and decides later to make him his son-in law and this decision gets him into an argument with his other son in law Vijayakrishna (Ramki).

Raasaiyya (Prabhu Deva) lives with his grandfather, Shyamsunder (Vijayakumar), a kind-hearted and honest man in a small town in rural Southern India. When young and beautiful Anita (Roja) comes to stay for a few days with Shyamsunder, both Raasaiyya and she fall in love with each other, and would like to get married. But Raasaiyya is unable to assert himself, and Anita’s marriage is arranged with a U.S. settled groom. Shyamsunder would like to present a decent dowry for Anita, which includes a priceless diamond necklace. Unable to bear his separation from his sweetheart, Raasaiyya decides to tell Shyamsunder about this, but before he could do so, he finds out that his biological mother, Madhavi (Raadhika), is still alive, but will not have anything to do with him. Watch what happens when Raasaiyya finally meets her and finds out the secret why she abandoned him in his childhood.

The film is a humorous take on the prevalent prejudices in society. The story is of a young IT professional, Karthick, who needs urgent money to take care of his ailing father who has been diagnosed with cancer. He approaches a loan shark to take care of this need, when he is unable to pay the money back on time, the loan shark threatens to take away his wife. To repay this loan Karthik resorts to unconventional methods of making this money. This sets off a chain of events that result in hilarious and sticky situations. Through these events we come to know how society judges or rather misjudges people and that situations and people are not always what they seem.

He picks Tamizh (Arulnidhi) from his database and explains in detail the importance of time and even one minute can change the life of an individual. Lord Shiva shows three different episodes in a person’s life, just by change of time and how the delay changes the whole situation. He illustrates his point through a kidnapping incident. Tamizh is asked to kidnap his lover Isabella (Ashrita Shetty) by her father’s arch-rival in business as she is about to get married in a church. Tamizh is assisted by two other cons Malar (Bindhu Madhavi) and Isakki (Baghavathi).
