Karuppusamy (Karan) is a happy-go-lucky guy who is a small-time contractor for cycle stands. When not at work, he kills time with his friends, taking part in their mimicry troupe where he is famous for his Rajini look-alike acts. Life goes on for the protagonist until Raasathi (Meenakshi) stumbles upon his life. An aspiring medical student, she relates Karuppusamy’s benevolence to her late mother’s. Soon after, they both become victims of the stupid cupid’s bait.
Although in love with the uncle, Karuppusamy insists that education should be her priority over romance. Besides, their love affair wreaks havoc in Raasathi’s upper caste family, which is known for cast prejudices.

Thulasi takes Meera to a hill station, where the girl starts behaving mysteriously. Thulasi soon learns that Meera is possessed by a spirit. The spirit was of a girl’s who once resided in the hotel with her father. Once her father gets a lump amount as he had a profit,but his friend gets to know and he blackmails him by saying that he kidnapped his daughter and her father unknowingly gives his friend and he doesn’t who the guy was blackmailing he tells this to his friend without knowing he was the one who blackmailed him. He says to his friend that he us going to lodge a complaint his friend suggests him not to but the father proceeds,while having lunch with his only daughter unknown to him and his daughter the food is mixed with poison and his friend brings a local gang and makes the murder look like a suicide,and the spirit narrates to thulasi in the midst thulasi learns that if the spirit stays in her daughter’s body her daughter will survive so she pleads the spirit stay and even the spirit agrees but the guy learns this he goes to kill thulasi and her child but instead he slips from the cliff and the spirit apologies as this was her wish and thus leaves thulasi’s body and thulasi wants to see her daughter live so she calls the doctor and requests him to take her daughter along with him to India and leave her daughter in her hometown and says she will soon leave all and commits suicide so that as a spirit she can enter her body in order to save her from her disease.

The story starts with floods at Ranga Saipet in Warangal District. Houses, trains, and people inundate in floodwater. Siddharth (Mahesh Babu) and his friends save the people up to their maximum effort. Eight of his friends assist him in the rescue. On the other hand, the Chief Minister (Kota Srinivasa Rao) recommends the candidature of Pappu Yadav (Irfan Khan) for Assembly Elections. Pappu is a goonda who wishes to earn big through politics and power. To get the attention of people, he announces a sum of Rs.5 crore for flood victims.

In 1943, as the Second World War rages on, India is fighting a war of her own: independence from British rule. Subash Chandra Bose, founder of the Indian National Army (INA), has become disenchanted with Mahatma Gandhi’s Ahimsa (non-violent) movement and desires to fight fire with fire. Recognizing the growing dominance of Imperial Japanese Army in the Indo-China region, the INA allies itself with the Japanese, hoping to ride the wave to Delhi. Hearing this, Vijay is very happy and tries to talk to Priya, but her dad tells Vijay that he will give him the baby on the condition that he promises he will never see Priya again and Vijay promises. Priya gives birth to a son and Vijay takes him away. Priya’s father tells her that the baby is stillborn. She is very depressed and thinks that her son is still alive. Vijay brings up the son. Many years later, Priya comes close to where Vijay lives and sees a boy. She follows that boy who turns out to be her son and he leads Priya to Vijay. They were united. Velu is a waiter at a holiday resort in Chennai. He wants to make enough money to pay for his working permit to work abroad. However, he has had a traumatic childhood. After the death of his parents, his uncle and aunt sent him to boarding school, where he is initially bullied. In order to survive in the new, harsh environment, he learns to fight to protect himself. As a young adult, he moves to the city to start a new life. As poor, single young men, Velu and his roommate Tirupathi face lots of hardships in the city. They eventually meet Muni, an agent for an underground fight club. After seeing Velu win a fight at a bar, Muni introduces him to the ruthless owner of the fight club, Natwar Dada. Velu slowly rises up the ranks and becomes one of the city’s best underground fighters. Velu then meets a girl Kavya and plans to stop fighting in order to be with her, but he needs to make enough money to escape his current life. Muni also needs money to get his house back. Together, they hatch a plan to rig Velu’s next fight with Victor, the city’s top underground street fighter.

Maruthu (Vishal) is a labourer from Rajapalayam who personally does not tolerate injustice anywhere. One day, he encounters Bhagyalakshmi alias Bhagyam (Sri Divya), a bold young woman, at a temple, but their first meeting does not go well due to a misunderstanding, and he ends up at a police station. However, with Appathaa’s help, Maruthu soon manages to win Bhagyam’s heart. One day, he sees some goons chasing Bhagyam and her father (G. Marimuthu) near the market where he is working. Maruthu beats up the goons and then learns from Bhagyam’s father why the goons are after them.
