
Ninaithale Inikkum 1979
The film follows lead actor Kamal Hassan who plays a singer and his band on a tour to Singapore. Over there Kamal meets his love interest (played by Jayaprada). Kamal immediately is attracted and begin to spend more time with her. He also notices that something peculiar and fishy surrounds her life. Meanwhile, Rajnikanth receives a tape containing a love message for him from one of his fans who doesn’t reveal her identity. Rajnikanth is in search for her and eventually locate her only to find that she is mentally unstable and often sends these type of messages to famous celebrity. Kamal on the other hand learns that Jayaprada suffers from cancer and is counting her days. Jayaprada profess to Kamal that she wants to perform on stage with his troop in her final days. Kaaviya Thalaivan 2014
Thavathiru Sivadas Swamigal (Nassar) runs a drama troupe in which Thalaivankottai Kaliappa Bhagavathar (Siddharth) and Melachivilberi Gomathi Nayagam Pillai(Prithviraj) are his direct disciples. Gomathi is left by his father in the troupe of Swami. Kali is found by Swami during a train trip where the boy is singing and begging alms. Impressed by his singing talents, Swami takes the boy with him. Gomathi and Kaliappa have relationship like brothers. They grow up together and stage many plays where Gomathi often plays “Sthripart” – the female role and Kali plays “sidepart”- supporting characters. While Vadivambal (Vedhicka) joins as the female member in the group, soon falls in love with Kali, while Gomathi falls for Vadivu, however, Kali loves Rangamma (Anaika Soti), the princess of the zameen. Bhairava (Ponvannan) who is another student of Swami is a popular “Rajapart” – performing main title characters of a stage play. He becomes headstrong over his acting capabilities and does not attend the rehearsals for which he gets scoldings from Swami. After a quarrel, he leaves the troupe as he could not bear the torture of Swami. Swami does not give up and conducts an audition for the main character role of Soorapadman in which Kali and Gomathi perform. Kali gets selected, which leaves Gomathi angry. The reason behind Swami’s bias towards Kali is never answered clearly to Gomathi which leaves him more frustrated.
Athadu 2005
At a remote Dhaba in Atikapamala, 20 km from Suryapet, Vijayawada, a young boy named Nandu pulls out a gun and kills the local don, Vanka Suri. Fleeing to Old City, Hyderabad, Nandu is spotted by Sadhu (Rahul Dev), a local don who is impressed with Nandu and takes him under his wing. Sadhu and his gang plan to rob the local bank with the help of Nandu and a few other kids. The heist goes off smoothly, but Sadhu is betrayed to the police by one of his lieutenants, Narsing. At the local police station, the police beat up Sadhu, while the corrupt SI and Narsing divide the money between themselves. Nandu creates a distraction by causing a short circuit and escapes with Sadhu and another kid, Malli. Sadhu tells the two of them to run away and leave him, since the SI might find and kill them. Nandu calmly replies that he won’t, because he has already killed the SI.
Minsara Kanavu 1997
Priya Amal Raj (Kajol) lost her mother at a very young age. She is friendly, outspoken, sensitive, yet precocious. Priya is brought up by her dad, Amal Raj (Girish Karnad) who is a clothing industrialist. Since her childhood, Priya is interested in singing, music and church.
Thomas Thanga Durai (Arvind Swamy), a polite, well mannered NRI business man, returns to India from America to look after his father’s James Thanga Durai’s (S. P. Balasubrahmanyam) business. Thanga Durai is a former associate in Amal Raj’s business, and now establishes his own business empire in the same vicinity, opposite to Amal Raj’s factory. He boasts of his sons achievements. However, Amal Raj dislikes Thanga Durai’s ill-mannered, clumsy and bizarre antics though Thomas and Priya have known each other in their childhood.
Thomas, happens to meet Priya at her school when he goes to a woman’s hostel to see his aunt, Mother Superior (Arundhati Nag) a nun in that school church. Thomas takes Priya’s help in surprising his aunt with a gift on her birthday. In the process, Thomas falls in love with Priya but is unable to confess his love for her. Priya has been brought up in a convent school and wants to become a nun, much to the horror of Thomas and Priyas father. Meanwhile, Amal Raj tries to pull Priya into wedlock through setting up match making with some suitors like Jaipal (Prakash Raj), David (Ranvir Shah) etc., but he fails to fix an alliance for his daughter. In the midst of this, Thomas’s friend Shiva takes him to hairstylist Deva (Prabhu Deva) who is notorious at changing women’s minds. Deva befriends Priya to change her mind about being a nun.
At one instance, Priya performs singing at a Gala along with Deva’s troupe, which puts the troupe into the limelight of a recording theatre owner. Deva requests Priya to join his aspiring music troop as a singer and help them achieve the group’s aspiration for a film audition and Priya agrees to it. Deva with his musical troupe (Nassar and his group) play tricks to make Priya fall in love with Thomas, but fails to turn Priya’s mind towards Thomas. Instead, Deva himself falls in love with Priya and she reciprocates.
Complications arise when Priya falls in love with Deva instead, and at the same juncture, Thomas confesses his love to Priya and reveals the shocking truth behind Deva’s association with Priya. Torn between the two men, a broken-hearted Priya decides to vow for Nun trainee and fails to fulfill her promise for the group’s music audition. Thomas realises this at the end and sacrifices his love. Thomas and his Aunt convince Priya out of celibacy and marry Deva. Thomas becomes a priest as he naturally leads a life of service to the poor, sacrifice and mental chastity.At the climax, it is shown Deva and Priya get their daughter baptised by Thomas.This is the plot of the story.
Sangamam 1999
This film depicts the disputes between two forms of the dance styles and music, Classical Indian (in particular Carnatic music and Bharathanatyam danceform) against rural Tamil folk music and dance. The film depicts the misunderstanding and mutual ignorance of the two factions. The parallel plot in the movie is of the children and intended successors of the respective dance doyens falling in love with each other. The climax ends with a consensus of both the music genres as well as the young couple, hence the name Sangamam.

But, Raja’s mother forced his father to let Raja study up-to class 2, without any work. But he refuses to fund him, and orders him to start work as accountant for their landlord. Raja’s dad is violent and an alcoholic. He spends the family’s income on alcohol. Raja’s family struggles to work hard everyday. Raja’s mom begs him to move to Mumbai to start a new life. Raja heeds his mom’s pleas and moves to Mumbai to attend Ramachandra Institute of Management Studies, the top-most premier b-school in India. The movie starts off at a train station on New Year Day, 1999. Raja talks with a person (Manivannan in the Tamil version, Anupam Kher in the Hindi version) who was well-wishing him. Due to insistence, Raja goes into a flash back. 3 years ago, he reaches Mumbai, where he plans to get admitted into the prestigious Ramachandra College of management, one of the most premier institutes in the nation.
