In the fictitious city of Kaza, a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian Shudh Singh. Shamshera is a legend for his tribe who relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity.

Chotta (Daniel Balaji) is a terrorist, known for bombing various places in the past. He is currently jailed in a prison in Uttar Pradhesh, India. He escapes the jail by planting a bomb there and moves to various cities across India, while planting bombs everywhere, killing many people. His next target is Chennai and he heads towards the city to complete his mission. He often takes lifts from various vehicles across the highway. He communicates with his associates using a Gmail account, by composing his messages, saving them as drafts and providing the login details to his associates, who login later and delete the drafts meant for them after reading. Thus, their IP addresses remains untraced. The police issue a red-alert across the country and issue an order to arrest Chotta, all over India. His photo is faxed to all the police stations, who begin their search.

Ravi Prashanth a happy Go lucky guy with sharp wits helps the police catch a criminal Bitoo (Sonu Sood) who has commited a bank heist, how his life changes after that is the basic crux of the story.

Udhayan works as an assistant manager in a bank and falls in love with a young lady.

So to meet her, Saravana goes with Krishna to a village near Tirunelveli where he finds that there is a bloody war going on between two warring caste groups. Krishna’s brother Soundarapandi (Prakash Raj) his wife and Krishna are killed by the rival group of Dorai Singam. However Saravana saves Sadhana and takes her to Chennai. Initially Sadhana is not accepted by Saravana’s large family but slowly when they come to know about her background they support and love her. The rest of the film is how Saravana tries to help Sadhana to go back to London, and in the process eliminates the entire gang of Dorai Singam single-handedly.

Aegan’s story is based around Shiva (Ajith Kumar), a CB-CID officer, and his efforts to foil the terrorist John Chinnappa (Suman). Shiva is simultaneously attempting to mend relations with his father’s estranged first wife and his half-brother Narain (Navdeep). Complications ensue.
John is a scientist who had created tablets by operating on human guinea pigs. His ploys have always been controversial but inconclusive due to lack of witnesses. However, an ex-gang member General Ram Prasad (Devan) became a police approver and is on the verge of revealing John’s ploys to the police. However, he is on the run to avoid charges. The case falls to Commissioner Karthikeyan (Nassar), Shiva’s father, who assigns his son to go and help solve the mission.

After his wife’s murder he give up Mumbai and goes to a village with his two sisters for their safety.

The murder of a fellow cop is investigated by ace Inspector Sethupathi who approaches the case intelligently taking the untraveled route to arrive at a solution. The case with all its twists & turns ultimately makes him go head-on with the big shot Vaathiyar, which puts his job and family at stake.
