The families of Boologam and Arumugam, two boxers, have been rivals for many years. Deepak, a businessman, decides to use this rivalry for his personal gain.

Rambabu (Pawan Kalyan) owns a garage and is a mechanic. But he is a different young man who is sensitive to injustice and doesn’t hesitate to take action as a responsible citizen. Soon, his actions catch the attention of media person Ganga (Tamannah) who brings him to the news channel she works for and gets him a job as journalist. Meanwhile, Rana (Prakash Raj) is an aspiring chief minister and his father (Kota) is an opposition party leader. Both keep hatching plots to bring down the government. Few situations lead Rana to clash with Rambabu. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Why would this bunch want to take a crack at the murky world of politics and cricket?

The soothsayer of the village predicts that God would come to their village for rescue. Meanwhile, Raju (Mahesh Babu) a cab driver in Hyderabad goes to Rajasthan to handover an insurance cheque to a man’s family who dies in his car. In a strange situation, Raju meets a man from the village and gets to know about their problem. Soon Raju realizes he is none other than the God-sent, the soothsayer predicted, and the rest of the story is all about how Raju takes up the responsibility to rescue the village from the clutches of evil.

Santosh’s life is dictated by his father, who decides everything for him. However, when Santosh falls in love with a girl, he struggles to convince his father to let him marry his girlfriend.

The lives of a popular writer and his ex-lover get affected when they meet after several years

Rasu (Santhanam) and Mokkai (Ganja Karuppu) are youngsters sharing a hostel with a diverse group of people. Those people include Professor Mani (Madhan Bob), a staunch atheist Thanjai Rudran (Rajesh), a poet, and other unemployed, struggling men. Rasu, who works in a coffee shop, is in love with Mahishasuramardhini (Madhumitha), but she seemingly ignores all his advances. Rasu was even attacked by her brother after hanging around her house for extended periods of time. Mokkai, who is unemployed due to his lack of education, and does whatever job he can find, dreams of marrying his uncle’s daughter back in his village. After a particularly bad day where Mokkai is arrested and beaten by female police officers and Rasu’s lies of being in a well-paid job are uncovered (to Mahishasuramardhini’s disgust), the two are also kicked out of the hostel by the owner due to the inability to pay rent. On their last night, both vent their frustration at Kadavul (God) after heavy drinking. Both are shocked when Kadavul (Prakashraj) appears in front of them. Mistaking him for another unemployed fellow, the two head back to their hostel room only to find Kadavul waiting for them in it, waving aside this miracle, all three fall asleep. The next morning, Kadavul finally manages to convince Rasu and Mokkai of his true identity after appearing in the forms of Vishnu, Jesus and Buddha.

The story revolves around an ego clash between father and son. Puli (Sundar C) is a local rowdy and the son of a math teacher Vedhukannu (Prakash Raj). Vedhukannu hates his son for being a rowdy and not being proficient in math. As part of a flashback, it is shown that young Puli was very good in physics, but his father, being a math teacher, wanted him to excel in math, which he was unable to do. As a result of repeated physical and mental abuse, Puli takes the wrong route to grow up. In the meantime, rival gangs and police try to kill him, but he is accidentally saved by his half-sister, a daughter from an affair his father had. Puli helps his half-sister in return for her unexpected help and vouches for her safety. The rival gangs kill her and put the blame on his father. How Puli brings the truth to light and unites with his family completes the rest of the movie.

Surya (Arjun) and Prakash (Prakash Raj) meet Priya (Abhirami) in a train as strangers and become friends. Surya loves Priya, whereas Prakash lusts about her. Priya starts liking Surya. This makes Prakash envious, so he starts showing off his villainous image. The rest forms the story which rather forms a normal ending.

Jayakumar (Sharwanand), commonly known as JK, is a mid-20s man who does not care about family. Instead, he is obsessed with chatting on Facebook, partying, and passing time with friends. At work, he has a group of friends with similar interests. They all plan on going for a New Year Party.

Two years later, JK is shown to be a changed person – very invested in developing, earning money and taking care of his family. He is shown to make business models with an aim of earning a lot of money in a short period of time. He has goals such as getting his two sisters married and ensuring that his brother gets good education. In attempts to start business, he goes to meet a bank manager at his home. As they had to wait for the bank manager to come, JK and his friend notice that the house is not well-maintained and take on the job to organise it. Upon returning, bank manager appreciates their work and tells JK and his friend that it would be very helpful if they could help clean homes regularly. He also suggests that about 150 other flats in his apartment complex would also appreciate this service. This becomes JK’s first business venture. For this, he also ropes in help from his school friend Nithya (Nithya Menen). Together, JK, Nithya, and their friends go on to become very successful with multiple projects.

Saravana (Silambarasan) and Krishna (Krishna) are close buddies in college. Saravana sees a video tape of Krishna’s sister Sadhana (Jyothika) studying in London and falls in love with her. So to meet her, Saravana goes with Krishna to a village near Tirunelveli where he finds that there is a bloody war going on between two warring caste groups. Krishna’s brother Soundarapandi (Prakash Raj) his wife and Krishna are killed by the rival group of Dorai Singam. However Saravana saves Sadhana and takes her to Chennai. Initially Sadhana is not accepted by Saravana’s large family but slowly when they come to know about her background they support and love her. The rest of the film is how Saravana tries to help Sadhana to go back to London, and in the process eliminates the entire gang of Dorai Singam single-handedly.

He recruits a portion of the gangsters and criminals living in Mumbai led by Naseer to work under him. Surya’s henchman Shakeel manages to kill a witness of Laalu’s crimes in the jail where he is kept in, winning Laalu’s friendship.

Aditya Varadarajan (Dulquer Salmaan) is a video game developer who accidentally meets Taara Kalingarayar (Nithya Menen) at his colleague’s wedding. He later finds out that she is planning to pursue her studies in Paris. They soon begin to call each other often, go out together, and start to fall in love during a holiday they take together. They agree that marriage is not for them and decide to have a live-in relationship instead, and Taara moves into Adhi’s place, rented from Ganapathy (Prakash Raj). They wish to spend their time with each other before they go their separate ways for their respective careers. Taara and Adhi live happily, being playful with each other.

Enters Dhivya (Jyothirmayi), who settles down in the same locality where Right lives. Meanwhile Right develops a difference of opinion with Bhai. Right ends up killing Bhai’s son. Bhai takes revenge by killing Balu. It brings a change of heart in Right and his men. When they decide to reform and lead a decent life, enters bad cop Prakash Raj, who forces them to take up rowdyism again. Meanwhile Bhai is on the pursuit of putting an end to Right.There is series of encounters between Right, Bhai ad Gopinath and finally Right prevails.

Set in the 1950s, the film begins with Anandan (Mohanlal), a struggling actor, seeking opportunities which will give him a big break in the film industry. Under his uncle’s help, Anandan is given an opportunity to audition for the lead role in a forthcoming film. He arrives in the studio and practices his combat skills with sword props provided on the sets while waiting for the director and the crew. At this, he meets Tamizhselvan (Prakash Raj), a small-time writer who enters the studio with some sarcastic poetry and this prompts both into a little debate. The debate turns into a mutual respect for each other, and impressed by Tamizhselvan’s skills, Anandan requests Tamizhselvan to write dialogues for him to recite during the audition.

It is up to Ravi (Nagarjuna) who has to rescue a flight from Chennnai to Delhi which is hijacked by Yousuf Khan ‘s men.
