Pandi And his friends comes across a deaf woman Kadhambari (Nayantara) and Pandi immediately falls in love with her. Kadhambari is the daughter of a sincere police officer Ravikumar (Azhagam Perumal)because his father loves police profession, who is in pursuit of Killivallavan aka Killi (Parthiban), a dreaded gangster and politician who had killed Ravikumar’s wife and had caused Kadhambari to lose her hearing in her childhood. Kadhambari seeks Pandi’s help in finding her father, who has not spoken to her for the past two days, to which he agrees. Pandi soon learns that Ravikumar had been killed by Killi, but hides the matter from Kadhambari as it would make her upset. But Kadhambari learns about her father’s death from Meena Kumari and is determined to revenge his death by going after Killi and killing him. Pandi agrees to help her in her mission, with the promise that he will hold Killi’s shoulders while she stabs him.

Velu, an aspiring Kabaddi player, is in Madurai to participate in one of the regional matches when he rescues Dhanalakshmi from Muthupandi, a powerful man keen on marrying the girl against her wishes.

Prakash (Akkineni Nagarjuna), a carefree, mischievous student graduates from College. During his celebration with his friends, he gets into a road accident. Although the accident is only minor, during medical tests, he is diagnosed with terminal cancer and has a few months to live. Unable to hear his mother’s constant wailing, he packs his bags and leaves to his family’s vacation home in Ooty.
There, he meets Geetanjali (Girija Shettar), who enjoys playing pranks on people around her. In one incident, Geetanjali asks a guy to meet her near a church after sundown to elope with her. When he comes to meet her, she along with her sisters and friends play an elaborate prank by dressing up as ghosts to scare him away. When she tries to pull the same prank on Prakash, who is already aware of this, it backfires as he pulls a bigger prank on her by dressing himself as a vampire and along with aerial wire stunts, scares her.

Oothukattaan is a rich big shot in his village. He has a grudge against the other village as he was insulted by them a long time ago. Since then, he promised himself to keep the God’s idol in his village. In order to destroy the neighboring village, he plans to evacuate the entire village population. He uses his power and wealth to stop government projects and welfare facilities from reaching the other village and make it a barren land, which forces people to evacuate and move to other places in search of livelihood. He helps the jobless youths in that village get jobs in neighboring cities, thus reducing the population of the other village.

Shiva leaves Vishnu in a home run by a social worker Lalitha (Sujatha). During the day, Shiva works as a bus conductor, and at the same time, poses as Vishnu: to play Robin Hood and steal from the rich and corrupt. A gang including Thangam (Meena), Ramesh Khanna, and others assist him in these operations. He is never suspected, and so, with the stolen money, he takes care of not only Vishnu, but also 800 people in other institutions for the physically handicapped. A college student Lavanya (Kiran Rathod) falls in love with Shiva, but he later comes to know she is Sundaramoorthy’s sister-in-law. Matters worsen when Sundaramoorthy becomes the chairman of the institute for the physically disabled. How Shiva deals with the situation forms the rest of the story. Meanwhile, Thangam is in love with Shiva, though he does not know this. Later she gives up her love and lets Lavanya marry Shiva. At last, Shiva marries Lavanya and Thangam marries Vishnu.

It centers around Vennila’s (Reshma) connections with the 3 men in her life. Satheesh (Ajith Kumar) wins a college competition and becomes the object of Vennila’s ire. In a fit of pique, Vennila feigns love to him, gets him to marry her, and ditches him on the wedding night. She later realises he is a psychopath – an interesting scenario which had the potential to turn into a good suspense thriller. The script goes for a nosedive after Vennila finds she is pregnant, and is shocked since she has not had a physical relationship with any of the men. And then she realises it was the past catching up with her, and it was a planned vendetta by Satheesh’s dear ones.

Shiva, the main hero played by newcomer Sethu, enters as a police officer with the name tag reading R. Alexpandian. This is intended to be a spoof to the movie Alex Pandian, which released two days earlier and also included Santhanam as part of the cast.

One day a lonely woman, Sulakshana,(a secret prostitute of the village high man – Vijayakumar) accepts Thaayamma as her own daughter and Janagaraj as her brother, and makes them stay in her own house. After 10 years, Thaayamma attains age and some days later finds Sulakshana’s occupation. She and Janagaraj attempt to leave her house, but Sulakshana suddenly falls ill and this stops their exit . After Sulakshana’s death, Vijaykakumar, the head of the village, tries to take advantage of Thaayamma. But Thaayamma keeps dodging him and keeps herself chaste.
Ponnurangam (Karthik Muthuraman), the village hero, is a folk singer who performs with his mini troop in nearby village occasionally for festivals. He works as a part-time labour work for Vijayakumar. He has a strong crush for Selvi,(Kushboo), daughter of Valliyuran (Shanmuga Sundaram), rich head of neighboring village and brother-in-law of Vijayakumar . Selvi pranks Ponnurangam by asking his mother to meet her father with the wedding proposal. But Ponnurangam’s mother (Manorama) is beaten by Valliyuran’s men while she visits his house with the marriage proposal and Manorama dies in her sleep due to shame. Now Selvi falls in love with Ponnurangam, but he is so dejected with life. Meanwhile, Vijayakumar arranges marriage of his spoilt son (Thiyagu) with Selvi to end their feud of 20 years and to incorporate all of their properties under his son. Ponnurangam is asked to perform at Valliyuran’s house the night before marriage. During the end of the song, Selvi apologises to Ponnurangam for his mother’s death and gives him money which he coldly rejects. Thiyagu sees the sequence and there is a fight between the families and marriage is stopped. Next day, Thiyagu and his men fight with Ponnurangam and stab him in the back with a poisoned knife. Thaayamma takes care of Ponnurangam and love blossoms between them. Ponnurangam plans to marry Thaayamma. Vijayakumar tries to thwart them, by abducting and raping Thaayamma. He kills Ponnurangam’s friend Maakan (Chinni Jayanth), but he is mobbed by the villagers and is beaten up. The last scene shows Ponnurangam and Thaayamma walking away from the camera on a road, together.

Chandru believes that Aravindan is dead, but after five years, he finds out that Aravindan is not dead but has ended up in a coma. Gautham is now torturing his family a lot. When he comes to know that Chandru has come back, he starts to beat him up. After hearing Chandru’s cry of pain, Aravindan wakes up from his coma. He beats up Gautham, and everyone rejoins and lives happily.
