Venu is a middle-class young man who lives in a middle-class area. His life revolves around his mother, sister, neighbor, and friends. He has an inferiority complex because of the scar on his face. On one fateful day, Venu decides to do a plastic surgery to remove the scar. In order to raise money for his operation, he takes up part-time jobs. He becomes harsh and cold and starts behaving strangely with his family and friends. This new Venu leaves everyone around him in a state of shock. The rest of the story is about what he realizes in the process of getting his new face job.

A struggling filmmaker Chandran, gets a Producer for his film. The producer who runs a Fishing export business by the shores of North Madras has one condition though – the film should star his daughter Maha as the female lead. Her gorgeous looks convince Chandran & his team initially to proceed with scripting. But only later do they realize their folly.

During a walk to the park Raghuraman (Prakash Raj) meets Sudhakar (Prithviraj Sukumaran) and tells him about daughter Abhi (Trisha Krishnan). Raghuraman is the loving husband of Anu (Aishwarya Sivachandran) and the worrisome as well as caring father of his only daughter Abhi. Together they live a calm and content life in Ooty. Also living with them is “Ravi Shastri” (Elango Kumaravel) who was earlier a beggar and was adopted by Abhi. Raghuraman and Abhi are best friends. Over the years as Abhi grows up, Raghuraman has the joy of being a part of her life. When Abhi gets accepted in a prestigious college in New Delhi, Raghuraman is shocked. Although the thought of being separated from his daughter for two whole years is heartbreaking, Raghuraman wearily accepts. After returning from college, Abhi tells her parents that she has fallen in love with a young man in Delhi. Anu is perfectly all right with the idea, but Raghuraman is angry and scared. He shouts at Abi and does not talk to her properly. Anu later informs Raghuraman that their future son-in-law will be arriving by flight and staying with them for a while. As soon as Raghuraman meets his future son-in-law, Joginder Singh (Ganesh Venkatraman), he is taken aback because Joginder is a Sikh. After many conflicts with Abhi and Anu, Raghuraman finally realizes that Joginder is self-sacrificing and quite talented, more so when on one occasion the Prime Minister calls him for advice.

The film revolves around Govindarajan (Prakash Raj), a 60-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. One day, he suddenly goes missing. His son Shiva (Vikram Prabhu), who is worried by his father’s disappearance, embarks on a search with a female doctor (Indhuja). Govindarajan gets entangled with Ranga (Samuthirakani), a killer who has committed a murder. The rest of the film involves whether Shiva finds his father or not.[6]

Vijayalakshmi Balakrishnan alias Viji is a happy housewife who finds happiness by competing in contests. Despite being belittled by her twin sisters and father, she is happy with her life with her husband Balakrishnan alias Baalu and son Siddharth.
