Naresh (Allari Naresh) is a happy go lucky youth who enters the guest house of Gopal (Rajendra Prasad) which is possessed by evil spirits. He succeeds in impressing everyone as the fake Swamiji who has all the powers to deal with the evil spirits and collects huge remuneration for his job.

Three friends who con people by exploiting their fear of ghosts are hired by a man to scare his business rival. However, things change after the three encounter a real ghost.

Ganesh (Raghava Lawrence), a young man with a deep fear of ghosts who refuses go out after 6PM, moves into a new house with his mother (Kovai Sarala), father (Vinu Chakravarthy), and wife Priya (Vedhicka). All of a sudden, Ganesh gets possessed by a ghost and starts behaving in a rude manner; his family could not understand his behavior, so they seek the help of a priest Andaiyar (Nassar). Andaiyar asks the ghost about his whereabouts. The ghost says he is Muniyaandi (Rajkiran) and starts saying his flashback. Muni was a kindhearted, poor man living in the slums with his daughter and other people. His friend is MLA Marakka Dhandapani (Dhandapani), who uses Muni to make him win in elections and promises he would give lands to the poor villagers. Dhandapani wins the election but cheats Muni. Muni fights with Dhandapani, but Dhandapani kills him and his daughter. Dhandapani lies to the poor people, saying Muni and his daughter fled with the money he had given Muni for the welfare of the village residents. Ganesh enters Dhandapani’s household and terrorizes him and his assistants. Dhandapani comes to know that Muni’s spirit resides in Ganesh’s body, so he gets a shaman Mastan Bai (Rahul Dev) to save his life. Bhai bargains with Muni, who agrees to let Dhandapani go if he repents and helps the poor villagers. In the climax, at Ayyanaar temple, Dhandapani confesses to the people that he killed Muni and his daughter. He then leaves money with the villagers. Muni talks with the people and eats the feast prepared by them. Bhai tells Muni to leave Ganesh’s body, and he does. However, Dhandapani lied and was planning to get back all his money from the villagers. Ganesh, upon hearing this, kills Dhandapani. Bhai sees this act but does nothing, as he sees the injustice done by Dhandapani.

When the dragons perished, the treasure they owned was left deep in the desert. Every ten years, the entrance to the dragons’ treasure house would appear in the open in the desert, attracting a group of people with unique skills called desert hunters. The desert has since become a fantasy treasure world of hunters and monsters. In order to get the treasure, one must find three gemstones, Jialan, Hengluo, and Ayu, and put them into the devil’s work ball, after which, the door of the treasure house where endless wealth was would open. Carrying the devil’s work ball with her, He Xiqing, the only living princess of Dragon, arrived at the hunter inn and hired a top hunter, Jiang Liuhai, at a high price, to look for the treasure with her. Since then, a fantastic adventure story in the desert unfolded.

The story takes place in Panimalai, a hill city, during a spring season. The film begins with RJ Balaji coming to Panimalai to be a guest of a live radio show. In the middle of the show, he starts coughing severely and suddenly loses his voice. He is diagnosed with a new type of virus called the mute flu that causes sudden muteness and sometimes even death.
Aravindh (Dulquer Salman) is a sales representative working with a glue company. His dream is to become a radio jockey, and he even attends interviews with a FM station. As the mute flu spreads across the city, the state government sends Health Minister Sundaralingam (Pandiarajan) to Panimalai to take care of the situation. The people are asked to undergo a medical checkup to check whether they are affected by the virus or not. Aravindh goes to the hospital and meets Anjana (Nazriya Nazim), a junior doctor, who believes that talking is the only cause of all the problems in the world and if people keep things to themselves things will be very fine. Anjana is in a relationship with Vinodh (Abhinav), a possessive guy who always commands her on what she should do and what she should wear. Anjana lives with her father and stepmother Vidhya (Madhoo). Since Anjana lost her mother at a young age, she is reluctant to accept Vidhya as her mother, though she is a sweet and caring woman, and always maintains a distance from her. Vidhya is an aspiring writer who is trying to get her husband’s (Abhishek Shankar) attention and support to write her third book. Her husband finds no time to talk to her as he is too busy with his work.

Rajinikanth (Arya) was born in a theatre screening Dharmathin Thalaivan, and like one of Rajinikanth’s characters in that film, has a forgetful nature. The film doffs its hat at the older film by introducing its protagonist in underwear as he has forgotten to wear pants. This condition of Rajini is a constant source of embarrassment to his parents Ramanathan (Aadukalam Naren) and Lakshmi (Uma Padmanabhan), as they cannot find a suitable match for him. One prospective girl’s father Sathyamoorthy (Sampath Raj) insults Rajini because of this. As fate would have it, Rajini ends up falling in love with Sathyamoorthy’s daughter Vandhana (Sayyeshaa), but she is unaware of his forgetfulness. How long can he continue with this facade, especially with Ajay (Lijeesh), a cop who wants to marry Vandhana and is trying to expose him?

One morning in his house, Saravanan receives his ex-girlfriend Meera’s wedding invitation. He and his friend Paarthasarathy aka Paartha leave for Pondicherry to attend the wedding via car. En route, Saravanan recollects his past: He was a ruthless youth working in a film theatre with Paartha. He lives with his parents; his father, Varadharajan, who is educated and works as a college professor and his mother, Shenbagam, who is uneducated and is trying to pass an exam, just to get her college degree. One day in traffic, he sees Meera, a girl training to be an air hostess and falls for her on site. He follows her to a cloth shop and also to her Air Hostess class. He saw her house and he and Partha go to her house, as Meera calls them. There, Meera threatens Saravanan by showing her father’s photo, who is a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Mahendra Kumar. But still, Saravanan follows her and asks her to love him. Meera takes him to Mahendra Kumar’s office and he asks Saravanan to stop following Meera. Meera tells Saravanan that she has some qualifications required by her lover like shaving regularly, dressing well, breaking his friendship with Paartha, coming on time, etc. Saravanan tells this to Partha and Partha asks him if he or Meera is best for him. Saravanan tells him Meera is more important to him than Paartha, causing a break between Saravanan’s and Paartha’s friendship.
Later, Saravanan joins Paartha’s broken love and asks him to rejoin his love. Partha agrees and then they go to Mumbai, following Meera in a flight. There, Meera alas tells him that she loves Saravanan. After some months, Meera calls Saravanan once, but he does not pick up the phone and tells Paartha that Meera is not his real love and it is all nothing, but a drama. But, he really said that for fun. But, Paartha had accidentally switched on the phone while Saravanan told him all this. Meera, mistaking him for intentionally misusing her, comes there and breaks their love. Now, at Pondicherry, during Meera’s marriage, both Saravanan and Partha end up drunk and tell a small story, in a comical way describing the broken love of Saravanan and Meera. Just as the marriage is going to happen, Rajini Murugan, a local don, comes there with a pregnant girl and his girlfriend and reveals that Meera’s groom has a girlfriend, who is pregnant by him and that the girl Rajini Murugan is with, is that girl. The groom admits to his mistake and reunites with his old girlfriend. Saravanan and Paartha walk off the marriage hall, just then Meera comes and hugs Saravanan, hence reuniting with him.

Subramani is a fun-loving young man who has two playful friends. They want to become rich without toiling for it. Subramani decides to woo Mahalaxmi to inherit all her wealth.

Jeeva,a regular office goer gathering up courage to propose his colleague,gets enamored by the mysterious girl and gets distracted. He ends up meeting his office crush in an elevator but ends up botching her proposal.Disheartened and confused jeeva decides to drink with this best friend karthik.He explains that he is enchanted by a mysterious girl.The mysterious girl appears to jeeva again and reveals her name as “Miruna”.Jeeva proposes to miruna and she disappears.Mean while Jeeva starts seeing prolific premonitions which deeply concerns his friend. Karthik decides to take jeeva to a Psychiatrist.The doctor concludes his abnormalities could be a Bipolar or Schizophrenia but leads them to another Psychic. Mean while the Psychic reader is approached by police for a missing child case. Jeeva and Karthik meets the psychic,who reveals that Jeeva is having early precognitive symptoms.The story reveals further on the connection between the missing child and jeeva’s precognition.

The movie begins with two kids who fight with each other in a marriage hall. They meet after two decades, now Krishna (Prasanna) and Ramya (Laila) during a college cultural meet and again lock horns with each other. Fate brings them together in Chennai after a few years, again fighting with each other. Meanwhile, a series of events forces Krishna’s close friend Aravindh (Karthik Kumar) to come to India from the USA to get married. His parents arrange his wedding with Ramya. Ramya, who decides to get married to help her younger sister’s love, displays herself as a passive character who accepts whatever the life partner feel is right. On the contrary, she is bold, active, independent and assertive in nature. Knowing this, Krishna tries hard to let her true character come out. However, Aravindh stalls the wedding plans and returns to the USA as he finds Ramya as a person who does not think on her own and not independent. Mistaking Krishna for influencing Aravindh, Ramya locks horns with him.

At the party, they see a model Sanjana (Lakshmi Rai), who danced with them. After the party, Charles brings them to a private condominium where they stay. At the condo, they see Sanjana. The four of them try their best ways to get Sanjana as their girlfriend.

A youngster in his mid-30s goes through a series of struggles after coming to terms with the fact that he was in coma for 16 years.
