The protagonist is unhappily married to a shrewish wife by the name of Ponnatha (Vadivukkarasi), and seeks comfort and solace in a friendship with Kuyil. The friendship raises eyebrows, and is socially awkward and complicated for both Malaichami and Kuyil.

Vasanthi (Bhavana) is the daughter of a man (Lal) who does a lot of help for the refugees. She instantly falls for Jeevan (Jiiva), a Tamil refugee staying in the camp in Rameswaram. Jeevan, nurturing a dream to go back to his homeland, keeps on discouraging the girl, who is stubborn in her love. Jeevan’s heart, influenced by the pure love of the girl, starts melting slowly. Enters Vasanthi’s cousin (Bose Venkat), who is full of dreams on marrying her. He joins as an inspector in the local police station. The whole family is eagerly awaiting their marriage. Problems arise when the family comes to know about the love. Vasanthi’s cousin and his uncle try to eliminate Jeevan. They keep on troubling him, without much success. Meanwhile, the refugees get a chance to go back, and Jeevan has to go with them. He promises Vasanthi that he would come back to marry her. The family is determined to stop him. Vasanthi decides to end her life if Jeevan does not turn up.
Eesa 2009
The film begins with the young man Sudaleeswaran aka Eesa (Vignesh) killing a salt pan owner in a remote village in Thoothukudi. Eesa lives in a small hut with his wife Selvi (Lakshana). He then continues to kill a couple of salt pan owners and bumps them off in his hut. Thanga Malai Annachi (Thoothukudi M. Rajendran) is the local bigwig and the owner of a salt pan in which Eesa works. Upset to see his partners and friends killed by a mysterious person, Annachi starts to kill all his enemies. He then finds out that the killer is Eesa, so he sends the police to catch him. The police discovers multiples corpses in Easa’s hut, including Selvi’s. It is revealed that Eesa lives in a world of his own and believes that Selvi, who was killed a few months back, is still alive. He keeps her body in his hut and kills the murderers. A few months back, Eesa, who spent most of the time with his friend Kadukkai (Singampuli), fell in love with Selvi. Selvi accepted his love, and they got married. She later became pregnant. One day, Selvi saw Annachi and his gang brutally murdering a government official and his wife. Selvi questioned them, resulting in her brutal murder. Eesa, who was working in the salt pan, heard a cry of pain and discovered his wife in blood. Eesa tried to save her, but she died in his arms. The rest of the story is how Eesa killed Annachi.

Mambattiyan 2011
“A landlord (Kota Srinivasa Rao) rules a village in western Tamil Nadu. When he is opposed by Mambattiyan’s father (Vijayakumar), the ‘jameen’ kills him. Coming to know of this, Mambattiyan (Prashanth) kills the influential person and those in support of him. A group of youngsters in the village join hands with Mambattiyan. They lead a life in a forest. By robbing the rich and distributing the wealth to the poor, Mambattiyan becomes the local Robin Hood. Meanwhile, police forces led by DIG Ranjith (Prakash Raj) go from pillar to post to nab Mambattiyan. This is the start of a cat and mouse game between the two. Also, Mambattiyan has romance in the form of Kannathal (Meera Jasmine) and Sornam (Mumaith Khan). When Sornam raises a green flag that means she needs him to come an officer in disguises realizes this and reports it to prakash raj. so one by one all of his gang members die. prasath tells bullet an informer of mambattiyan to tell kannathal that they can go to another country. at the end the bullet shoots him because whoever captures mambattiyan gets a rewards of money and land so meera jasmine hits him and he dies then meera dies too. at the end prakash raj is sad that the whole village is crying and he takes prasanth’s chain.”
Sangamam 1999
This film depicts the disputes between two forms of the dance styles and music, Classical Indian (in particular Carnatic music and Bharathanatyam danceform) against rural Tamil folk music and dance. The film depicts the misunderstanding and mutual ignorance of the two factions. The parallel plot in the movie is of the children and intended successors of the respective dance doyens falling in love with each other. The climax ends with a consensus of both the music genres as well as the young couple, hence the name Sangamam.
