Set in the 1950s, the film begins with Anandan (Mohanlal), a struggling actor, seeking opportunities which will give him a big break in the film industry. Chandrakant ‘Chandu’ Nagre joins the world of crime in the Mumbai underworld. Gradually he learns the tricks of the trade and increases the gang’s earnings and profits.
