The film starts with Krishna (Nakul) and Shiva (Kreshna). They are childhood friends studying in the same college and prominent basketball players preparing for a national-level basketball tournament. Following the events of the college, Shiva dies due to heart attack because he was hit by a basketball shot by Krishna. This makes Krishna end his college career. He then joins a new college where a basketball game is teased by a cricket team there. During the political realm of N. T. Rama Rao, Shankar Narayana is an independent MLA of the constituency of Shankar Nagar, which is named after him, in Hyderabad, and is regarded as a champion for the poor. When a truck collides with the car his brother Satyam and he are in, Shankar goes into a coma. Except his family, everyone else presumes that he is killed in the accident. His son Ajay is a police officer in Mumbai who fights against the mafia and is on a mission to apprehend Mafia don Nayak who is involved in illegal drug trade, extortion and arms trafficking.
When he heads to Turkey in an undercover operation, he meets Prashanthi, the daughter of Ajay’s senior police officer and soon falls in love with her. She initially rejects his advances which makes him give up. However, he is successful in the undercover operation and arrests Nayak’s brother Bunty. After returning to India, he again meets Prashanthi and, to his surprise, she reciprocates his feelings. In an attempt to arrest Nayak, Bunty and the police commissioner is killed and Shankar’s loyal follower Sivayya reveals to Ajay that Nayak, along with Shankar’s rival, Mallesh Goud, and Shankar’s other followers Meka Narsingh Rao and Ambarpet Ganesh, were behind Shankar’s accident, which makes Ajay plot to kill all of them.

What happens when the President comes? is toilet built at their home? did they get married? answers protagonist’s act of declaring himself as President. Sameer Behl (Shahid Kapoor) comes to Mumbai with Bollywood dreams, struggles through the day as a courier boy, and keeps failing in auditions for advertisements. More stereotypes are stuffed in as he refuses to take help from his dad in Delhi, is thrown out from his rented flat by the landlord, and comes away with his calculative companion. One day, a movie director named Rajeev Sharma (Mohnish Behl) sees Sameer dancing and calls him to his office. Soon, Sameer is signed as the male lead in his film, and his friend Tina (Genelia D’Souza) is selected as the choreographer on the same project. Homeless, Sameer sleeps in his car and works as a dance teacher in a school. Subsequently, Sameer loses his film and is disillusioned. Tina finds this out and asks him how he can spend his life like this. After some time, Tina tells him that she also quit the film and did not want to be the choreographer for that film because she saw him upset. Sameer realises the love Tina had for him. Tina encourages him to participate in a television talent-hunt show, the winner of which will win the same role that Sameer was to play. After some time, he agrees to participate in it. After filling up the contest form, he also says “I love you” to Tina. In his screen-test, Sameer dedicates his monologue to his mother. After his monologue, during the interview, he comes to know that his father’s shop in Delhi has been demolished. He promises Tina that he will come back for her and leaves to meet his father, heart-broken about the whole thing. After watching Sameer’s performance on TV, his father convinces him to go back to Mumbai and participate in the show.
Kyun Ho Gaya Na 2004
Diya (Aishwarya Rai) is an intelligent university student with strong views on love and marriage. She spends much of her time at an orphanage in Coorg, helping her “Uncle” (Amitabh Bachchan) with the children living there. The story begins when Diya travels to Mumbai to write exams. While there, she stays with her father’s friend, and meets their lighthearted, free spirited son, Arjun (Vivek Oberoi). His views on love and life are completely different to hers. The pair start spending an increasing amount of time with each other and throughout all their arguments and conversations, they soon fall in love. Diya is more open about professing her feelings, while Arjun is reluctant and does not disclose his true intentions. Diya is left feeling heartbroken.

Barfi is known as a troublemaker – he cuts lampposts, plays practical jokes on innocent people, and is chased by Sudhanshu Dutta (Saurabh Shukla), a local police officer. Barfi meets Shruti Ghosh (Ileana D’Cruz), who has just arrived in Darjeeling; she is engaged to Ranjeet Sengupta (Jisshu Sengupta) and is due to get married in three months, and Barfi is immediately smitten with Shruti. She also falls in love with Barfi but her mother dissuades her from pursuing him because he could not take care of her with his disabilities and lack of money. Shruti takes her mother’s advice, gets married, and moves to Kolkata, breaking all contact with Barfi.
