Rammohan (Harish Raghavendra), after five long years of saying ‘no’ to getting married, agrees to wed Gowri(gayathri raghuram) after seeing her picture. But he gets a shock on his wedding night when Gowri turns out to be the exact opposite of what he has imagined her to be. While he had thought she would be a traditional, homely girl, Gowri turns out to be an ultra-modern gal who even drinks. On the other hand, Kaveri(Uma), who Rammohan hires as his secretary at work, is the kind of woman he wished for as his wife. Meanwhile, Rammohan rubs Selvakumar(Arun Pandiyan), the new policeman in town, the wrong way and Selvakumar itches for a chance to get back at him. The time comes when Rammohan gets into an accident.

The film opens in heaven with Brahma and Naradar, in conversation with Lord Shiva about the importance of time and fate. Lord Shiva has a computer base of all the people in the world. He picks Tamizh (Arulnidhi) from his database and explains in detail the importance of time and even one minute can change the life of an individual. Lord Shiva shows three different episodes in a person’s life, just by change of time and how the delay changes the whole situation. He illustrates his point through a kidnapping incident. Tamizh is asked to kidnap his lover Isabella (Ashrita Shetty) by her father’s arch-rival in business as she is about to get married in a church. Tamizh is assisted by two other cons Malar (Bindhu Madhavi) and Isakki (Baghavathi).

Surya (Sanjeev) is the son of a local dada (Adithya Menon) and studies at the Chengalpet Matriculation School. His mother, who is separated from her husband, wants him to grow up as a model citizen. Unfortunately, he has more of his father’s genes and gets expelled for beating up a teacher. Surya, who is attached to his mother, gives a promise that he will not take the path to violence again, and is admitted to Lake View School in Ooty, described by its principal (Thalaivasal Vijay) as the “best school in south Asia”. Surya is looked down by his snooty seniors led by Rohit (Rohit Rathod) and his gang. The only person who stands with him is Babloo (Karthik Sabesh), and the principal’s daughter Tanya (Riya Bamniyal), who has a soft corner for him. Under extreme provocation, Surya keeps his cool as he tries to live up to his mother’s expectations. However, he breaks down after Babloo is murdered and goes on a revenge spree. The film ends on a tragic note, as the message of the film is conveyed.

Divya initially refuses, but when her father has a heart attack her family begs her to accept the proposal to aid his recovery. Succumbing to the pressure, Divya marries Chandrakumar.
