Manathodu Mazhaikalam 2006
Siva (Shaam) and Sathya (Nithya Das) are college mates and good friends who always look out for each other. Their friendship continues even after their college days. Siva’s and Sathya’s parents mistake their friendship as an affair. The two refuse and make it clear that they are platonic friends with oneness in their thoughts, but no plutonic thoughts. In the course of time, Siva marries Shruthi (Sameksha) and Sathya marries Karthik (Jayasurya). Shruthi soon becomes pregnant but dies of childbirth complciations. Siva is left to raise his son on his own. Many years pass, and Siva’s son (Shyam Ganesh) begins to treat him badly, leaving him destitute. At the same time, Karthik informs Siva that Sathya is in her deathbed due to heart problems. In due course of time, Sathya dies. The film ends as Karthik and Siva, both widowers, walk together, vowing to remain good friends for the remainder of their lives.

Vanavarayan Vallavarayan 2014
Vanavarayan (Krishna Kulasekaran) and Vallavarayan (Ma Ka Pa Anand) are two brothers and carefree youngsters. One day, Vanavarayan meets Anjali (Monal Gajjar) in a marriage and falls in love with her. In the beginning, she rejects him. Vanavarayan follows her, and she accepts his love. Their love journey goes well, until one day when they travel to Pazhani. Anjali with her lover is seen by her drunkard uncle. After this incident, Anjali’s family arranges her marriage with a wealthy man Suresh (Santhanam). Anjali breaks down and secretly meets Vanavarayan, but the family mistakes them as they are running away. Anjali’s brother (S. P. B. Charan) beats Vanavarayan. On hearing this incident, Vallavarayan, in a drunken state, pulls Anjali’s father (Jayaprakash) from her house, beats him, and tears his clothes before the public. This makes Anjali hate Vanavarayan and insists he throw away his relation with Vallavarayan, then only she will marry him. Vanavarayan says that his brother is important to him than her and starts to ignore her. Vallavarayan finds that Vanavarayan is unable to forget Anjali, so he plans to reunite Vanavarayan with Anjali, but all plans go in vain. How Vanavarayan unites the pair and if Vanavarayan sacrifices his relation with his brother for his love for Anjali is the rest of the story.

Guna 1991
Guna (Kamal Haasan) is a mentally affected person and receives treatment in a mental hospital in Hyderabad. He does not like his father, and his mother Manonmani (S. Varalakshmi) is a moll in the house that they live. He assumes a fictitious character named Abirami (also the name of an Indian goddess) and registers in his mind that she is an angel who is going to marry him on a “full moon day”. After coming out of the asylum, he believes the story to be true and believes that his Abirami is somewhere around.
A bunch of hooligans led by Guna’s uncle (Janagaraj) trick Guna into robbing a temple of Abirami, an Indian goddess. He happens to see a rich girl (Roshini) in there, right after his uncle tells him that “Abirami will come”. He decides that she is the one, and in the confusion following the robbery, he takes her with him to a lonely, damaged house situated at the top of a hill in Kodaikanal. Police start investigation regarding the robbery and missing of Roshini. Initially, Roshini hates him for his weird nature and for holding her captive.
The Assassin 2015

Bodinayakanur Ganesan 2011
Bodinayakanur Ganeshan story is set on the backdrop of a village and here is Ganesan (harikumar) along with his friend Gilaki (soori). Both are hated by the villagers since they sell Ganja and arrack. They work under the local don Thiruvachi (sai ravi) and earn their livelihood.
Paradesi 2013
Rasa (Atharvaa) is a carefree young man living in a rural village in the Madras Presidency during the early days of the British Raj. Orphaned at a young age, he is brought up by his grandmother. Angamma (Vedhicka), a local girl falls for him and takes pleasure in bullying him. When she finally confesses her feelings for him, they become intimate and soon reveal the fact that they are in love before the entire village and also get into physical relationship. Angamma’s mother objects as Rasa is unemployed and irresponsible, making him unqualified to become anyone’s husband.
Rasa then goes to the nearby village in search of work. He comes across a friendly Kangani, who then follows Rasa back to his village. The Kangani offers a work for the villagers at the British tea plantations at the hillside. He promises them proper accommodation and high wages. Like many of the villagers, Rasa signs up with the Kangani, hoping he can send home money every month for his ailing grandmother. Both Angamma and his grandmother are sad to watch him go.
