A poor laborer Kalyani (Ram) is devoted to his young daughter Chellamma (Baby Sadhana), but the child has problems at school with her studies, classmates, and teachers. Chellama is a sweet, angelic girl who fares below average in the class but is all chirpy and gleeful when she is with her father. Janardhanan lives in a village in Tamil Nadu, leading life incognito, taking up the cause of the villagers, and making enemies around. Jana is a terror to the Mumbai dons, corrupt politicians, and their ilk, killing, and maiming. He wants to teach a lesson to them. Both the faces of Jana merge finally when his bete noire Bhandari comes out of jail to have his final round with him.

The film deals with the social stigma associated with a handicapped girl in a rural milieu. Murali is a potter by profession. He has a sister, who is born dumb. Murali has to struggle a lot as the handicraft industry is a dying industry and a good amount of money is taken away by his father (Manivannan), who is a drunkard and a gambler. But, he tries to hide his sorrows by having fun with his sister and servant (Vadivelu), who is also his trusted friend. He is in love with his neighbour (Meena), a weaver. He wants to get his sister married to a noble man. But many reject her as she is dumb. Finally, one man agrees to marry his sister but on condition that Muralimust offer dowry. Murali then sells many things dearer to him to get money for the dowry. But, that money is taken away by his father and the marriage falls through. Yet Vadivelu offers to marry his sister without asking dowry and Murali goes home along with Vadiveluto convey this happy news to his sister. But it was too late as the sister commits suicide. Murali as a penance decides to marry a handicapped girl.
Thenali 2000
Thenali Soman (Kamal Haasan) is a Sri Lankan Tamil who has come to Chennai for psychiatric treatment because of numerous phobias caused by his trauma of the Sri Lankan Civil War. Panchabhootham (Delhi Ganesh) and his assistant (Ramesh Khanna), the doctors treating Thenali, are jealous of a relatively junior doctor Kailash (Jayaram) getting all the media attention. They send Thenali over to him, believing his failure to cure Thenali of his phobias will derail his success. Soon after their first appointment, Kailash heads to his home in Kodaikanal on a vacation with his wife Jalaja (Devayani) and his two children Arjun (Master Suraj) and Aishwarya (Baby Taj Nisha). Kailash tells Thenali to wait until after the vacation before his therapy can begin, but Panchabhootham asks for Thenali to go meet Kailash while on vacation.

Mudinja Ivana Pudi is about one person donning the dual shades of good and bad. Satya (Sudeep) is a mild-natured, small-time youngster running a real estate agency, led by authoritative Shubha (Nithya Menen). Satya leads another life as Shiva (Sudeep), a burglar who loots the huge unaccounted money stocked by filthy rich businessmen. His purpose is to realise his father’s dream of becoming a billionaire, riding a Mercedes Benz car and leading a posh life. He manages to convince the cops and those around him that those crimes are the handiwork of his look-alike ruffian twin Shiva. However, the two businessmen (Mukesh Tiwari & Sharath Lohitashwa) he robbed from, and ACP Kishore (P. Ravi Shankar), a corrupt cop who tries to use this as an opportunity to make money, are keen on nailing him. Meanwhile, Satya falls in love with Shubha who is an upright and brave girl. The police needs to nab the burglar. Satya himself launches a complaint that it is his brother Shiva who does all the crimes. Kishore does not believe the existence of two people and suspects the hero and villain to be one, but he does not have the evidence to prove his claim. At the end Satya proves that he is one in a million.

Diya is more open about professing her feelings, while Arjun is reluctant and does not disclose his true intentions. Diya is left feeling heartbroken.

Chezhiyan falls in love with a girl named Reshma, (Aparna) daughter of a karnataka-based businessman (largely inspired from Vijay Mallya). There are some political dramas that happens before the families agree to their marriage. Sangayya has been used in this political drama. He gets furious after learning this, but his hands are tied by the commissioner of police. When Chezhiyan is mysteriously kidnapped and beaten up by an unknown character, Sangayya starts an unofficial investigation upon request of the commisssioner. Sangayya solves the case and comes to know that a XI grade student named Easan is responsible.

Four immigrants (Pandi, Murugan, Afsal and Kumar) are detained by the local state police, tortured and forced to admit to a crime they have no knowledge of. When all hope seems to be lost, a policeman from their hometown speaks on their behalf at the court hearing, setting them free. The policeman asks for a return favor and the boys oblige, oblivious to the consequences that await them.
