Sridhar (Tarun) is a final year degree student and gets selected in the campus selections for studies abroad. He goes to Mumbai for an interview and in his return finds Preeti (Trisha) and loses his heart to her. Sridhar comes to know that Preeti was about to join in degree and Preeti learns that he was a final year degree student. Sridhar is an ardent cricket fan, so is Preeti, while Sridhar is also a good football player. The principal of the college appoints a coach called Reshma (Shriya), who is also a student, for the football team led by Sridhar. Sridhar tries his best to trace Preeti by visiting several women’s colleges, while Preeti also watches for Sridhar at the men’s college. Accidentally, Preeti helps Sridhar’s mother, when she had a heart attack. In order to find Preeti at any cost, Sridhar goes to the LB Stadium, where a cricket match is in progress and gets injuries in a bomb blast in the stadium. Just before the blast, both Preeti and Sridhar find each other but could not meet due to the blast.

Looking to put behind a past that haunts him, Nandha tries to reconcile with his mother and live life on his terms.

Savithri (Tamannaah) is a college girl who does a research project on Suryaprakash and begins to love him. Suryaprakash is not interested in Savitri, but he marries her to make use of her cooking talent in order to widen his business. After singing and dancing with both models Namitha (Namitha) and Malavika, and humiliating his brother-in-law ‘Digil’ Paandi (Vadivelu), Suryaprakash finally understands the value of family after his mother (Seetha) dies.

When Shiva introduces new techniques and pioneers the use of synthesizers, his music gets the attention of all music lovers. Due to the freshness and modernity his music possesses, he becomes the most sought after musician and overtakes Vetriselvan. Shiva becomes the number one musician and builds his own studio. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Jenny (Sulagna Panigrahi) and marries her. When it seems everything he touches turns to gold, Vetriselvan displays his psychopathic form. To get his glory back, Vetriselvan does whatever it takes to label Shiva unfit to compose music. Can Shiva bounce back despite his new and unwanted status forms the rest of the story.

Thavathiru Sivadas Swamigal (Nassar) runs a drama troupe in which Thalaivankottai Kaliappa Bhagavathar (Siddharth) and Melachivilberi Gomathi Nayagam Pillai(Prithviraj) are his direct disciples. Gomathi is left by his father in the troupe of Swami. Kali is found by Swami during a train trip where the boy is singing and begging alms. Impressed by his singing talents, Swami takes the boy with him. Gomathi and Kaliappa have relationship like brothers. They grow up together and stage many plays where Gomathi often plays “Sthripart” – the female role and Kali plays “sidepart”- supporting characters. While Vadivambal (Vedhicka) joins as the female member in the group, soon falls in love with Kali, while Gomathi falls for Vadivu, however, Kali loves Rangamma (Anaika Soti), the princess of the zameen. Bhairava (Ponvannan) who is another student of Swami is a popular “Rajapart” – performing main title characters of a stage play. He becomes headstrong over his acting capabilities and does not attend the rehearsals for which he gets scoldings from Swami. After a quarrel, he leaves the troupe as he could not bear the torture of Swami. Swami does not give up and conducts an audition for the main character role of Soorapadman in which Kali and Gomathi perform. Kali gets selected, which leaves Gomathi angry. The reason behind Swami’s bias towards Kali is never answered clearly to Gomathi which leaves him more frustrated.

Five college boys while away their time by going after girls and getting drunk at parties. However, they are forced to earn a living when one of them gets married against his parents’ wishes.

Furthermore, Radhika’s and Maithili earlier who were best friends during school times, their friendship is shattered owing her engagement with Vijay. Similarly, his half brother Yuvraj Ajay Singh (Neil Nitin Mukesh) vows vengeance and has been wanting to kill him and take the crown for himself. He enlists the help of his manager Chirag Singh (Armaan Kohli) and Vijay’s secretary Sameera (Samaira Rao), Chirag is misguiding Ajay at every step while betraying him at his back. Yuvraj Vijay barely escapes an assassination plan coordinated by Yuvraj Ajay and Chirag to kill him but gets badly injured. He’s hidden in a secret chamber maintained by two doctors.

A fan of Sooravali, Karuppiah (R.K. Suresh) proposes marriage to Sooravali through Sannasi and her mother, who is impressed with his government job and his decent behavior gets Sannasi to convince the girl to agree and what happens next forms the rest of the story.
