Barfi! 2012
Murphy “Barfi” Johnson (Ranbir Kapoor) is an optimistic , street-wise, charming young man who was born deaf to a Nepali couple in Darjeeling. His mother died when he was a baby and his father raised him alone while working as a chauffeur. Barfi is known as a troublemaker – he cuts lampposts, plays practical jokes on innocent people, and is chased by Sudhanshu Dutta (Saurabh Shukla), a local police officer. Barfi meets Shruti Ghosh (Ileana D’Cruz), who has just arrived in Darjeeling; she is engaged to Ranjeet Sengupta (Jisshu Sengupta) and is due to get married in three months, and Barfi is immediately smitten with Shruti. She also falls in love with Barfi but her mother dissuades her from pursuing him because he could not take care of her with his disabilities and lack of money. Shruti takes her mother’s advice, gets married, and moves to Kolkata, breaking all contact with Barfi.

Vasudev Shastri (Utkarsh Sharma) is a topper yet charming man who comes into IIT where the second ranker, Nandini (Ishitha Chauhan), decides to make his life hell. But Vasu is smart and in love with her to be outmaneuver. Besides being the friendly ‘genius’ around campus, he has also got a part-time job working with RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) where his hacking talents are occupied.Vasu was orphaned when his parents were killed in communal riots. He was found by a priest who raised him in a temple complex in Mathura. The life-positive Vasu is the one we see in flashback. In the present, Vasu dresses in all-black, uses a walking stick and suffers from acute tinnitus. This troubled, damaged Vasu is the one who survived multiple bullet wounds during a high-level mission. Special agent Vasu heads a division of RAW called TOCSI, which was tracking public enemy number one, simply referred to as MRS (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). MRS had the ambition of insulting Jaishankar Prasad(Mithun Chakraborty) and thus he wanted Vasu to slap him in public. However at the end, MRS fails in his Vrindavan temple blast and finally Vasu kills MRS by drowning him in River.

Ganesh (Prabhu Deva) has the job of collecting travelers for the lone bus run by Padmavathi Bus Service, in Cuddalore town. His high-energy people-gathering tactics are considered the reason for the crowds on the bus and he earns commission for the same from the owner (Nasser) of the bus service. Though Ganesh earns quite enough, he doesn’t buy new clothes, things and eats very late and little. No one knows why he is saving so much money. The bus owner was, a young cleaner at Venkatesa bus service, but he fell in love with the owner’s daughter and eloped with her. Then after much hardships he becomes owner of 4 buses and very rich, in the same town, while his father in-law’s bus company failing. He and his family still maintain no contact with the mother’s family.
Muthal Mariyathai 1985
The film commences with friends and family of an ailing village head, Malaichami (Sivaji Ganesan), gathered around him on his death bed. The plot then moves along in a series of flashbacks, featuring significant episodes of the dying man’s life. These include the presence of a boatman’s young daughter Kuyil (Radha) in his village. The protagonist is unhappily married to a shrewish wife by the name of Ponnatha (Vadivukkarasi), and seeks comfort and solace in a friendship with Kuyil. The friendship raises eyebrows, and is socially awkward and complicated for both Malaichami and Kuyil.
