Veera, a forest brigand was killed by police officers. A police officer who is suspected to have become this brigand’s man has gone underground and a team of cops (Richard, Bharani and co) are sent to the forest to capture/kill him. They meet Akhila (Arundhati), a woman who claims to live in the forest, who, they think is a prostitute. Meanwhile, in a parallel track, there is a young woman Dhamini (Manochitra), who agrees to be driven to the same forest by Sivaji (Vimal), a debauched car driver.

Speedunnodu is a remake of the Tamil hit film – Sundarapandian. The film is a romantic comedy about a young man and the girl he is trying to woo for his friend.

The film doffs its hat at the older film by introducing its protagonist in underwear as he has forgotten to wear pants. One prospective girl’s father Sathyamoorthy (Sampath Raj) insults Rajini because of this. A singer (Bharathi) who is tricked into marriage by his mother-in-law, his wife (Gowri )is enormously possessive about his fame and his female fans. One thing led to another Gowri finally become mentally unstable because of her own decisions. Bharathi visits her in the mental hospital with Jyothi. Jyothi then understands that Gowri really needs Bharathi and they belong to each other, Jyothi leaves Bharathi with her. Jyothi’s husband becomes a cripple and understands his mistakes, reunites with jyothi in the end.

One night the family driver (Raj Kapoor) is killed. after a few nights, Suresh does crazy things and says that someone is telling him to do so. After that he sets up cameras around the house. A couple of nights later the elder brother goes missing and Ravi sees it. With the cameras he is able to identify the spirit that is causing havoc. Murali identifies her as Maya (Hansika Motwani), his younger sister.

The film starts with Krishna (Nakul) and Shiva (Kreshna). They are childhood friends studying in the same college and prominent basketball players preparing for a national-level basketball tournament. Following the events of the college, Shiva dies due to heart attack because he was hit by a basketball shot by Krishna. This makes Krishna end his college career. He then joins a new college where a basketball game is teased by a cricket team there. The story lines up when Krishna takes on basketball again and wins the national-level tournament.
