His grandfather was a news reader in All India Radio. Following their footsteps, Gowtham becomes a TV journalist in a small channel, despite being an engineering graduate. He falls in love with his colleague Anu (Catherine Tresa) at first sight. Anu reciprocates, and romance ensues. While things are going well romantically, Gowtham gets arrested on charges of cheating banks to the tune of several lakhs of rupees by producing fake documents and degree certificates. Gowtham realises he has been made pawn in a huge scandal. The rest of the movie is all about how he unearths the fake certificate scam and pins down the mastermind Thura Sarkar (Tarun Arora).

A jobless young man gets to redeem himself.

Jaihind tells the story of the journey of five people, linked by one man, who fights for childrens’ rights to education. Parvathi (Yuvina Parthavi), from a very poor family background, gets an admission into one of the most affluent schools in the city. However, the man of the house is forced to sell one of his kidneys in order to pay the exorbitant school fees. They still are unable to raise nearly enough money for the school, and they finally give up and commit suicide. This disturbs Abhimanyu (Arjun Sarja) deeply, and the computer service engineer becomes a hero overnight, by propagandizing a solution for education costing so much. Abhimanyu suggests that all private schools be nationalised, which will compel them to offer services at very little fees compared to that being collected now, while still ensuring that the quality of education is not compromised. This is bad news for the private school owners, who make a business out of educating children. Abhimanyu is targeted and pushed to extremes for his ideas. He is put behind bars and has people conspiring to murder him. How he succeeds in his mission, despite all this, forms the crux of the movie.

Sathya (S. J. Suryaah) is a casanova by character and pursues Tina (Shradha Arya), a woman around. He sets his sights on Haritha (Nayanthara) and manages to woo her. She loves him whole heartedly and he is not in favor of that. At one moment he falls for Haritha, but at the same time, she comes to know about his real character, and she ends their relationship. The story is about how Sathya changes himself and earns her love back.

An ex-Interpol officer wreaks havoc and sends shock waves across the global underworld but goes missing in action, only to remerge years later, for his beloved family.

The film begins a year after the events which occurred in the prequel Saamy.
DCP Aarusaamy “Saamy” (Vikram), who had been transferred out of Tirunelveli, leads a happy life with his now-pregnant wife Bhuvana (Aishwarya Rajesh), who intends to pursue IAS. However, the people who were asking what happened to Perumal Pichai (Kota Srinivasa Rao) assume he might be in Colombo Sri Lanka with his second wife and three sons: Mahendra Pichai (O. A. K. Sundar), Devendra Pichai (John Vijay), and Raavana Pichai (Bobby Simha). Raavana leaves for Tirunelveli and finds out that Saamy killed his father. Saamy applies for a transfer to Tirunelveli to stop Raavana, which is approved.

Bhoominathan is an astronaut at NASA who has to resolve an unfinished business in his village before taking off to Mars.
