An ordinary college student falls in love with an actress and marries her, but things start to change bitter in their life.

The film begins with the young man Sudaleeswaran aka Eesa (Vignesh) killing a salt pan owner in a remote village in Thoothukudi. Eesa lives in a small hut with his wife Selvi (Lakshana). He then continues to kill a couple of salt pan owners and bumps them off in his hut. Thanga Malai Annachi (Thoothukudi M. Rajendran) is the local bigwig and the owner of a salt pan in which Eesa works. Upset to see his partners and friends killed by a mysterious person, Annachi starts to kill all his enemies. He then finds out that the killer is Eesa, so he sends the police to catch him. The police discovers multiples corpses in Easa’s hut, including Selvi’s. It is revealed that Eesa lives in a world of his own and believes that Selvi, who was killed a few months back, is still alive. He keeps her body in his hut and kills the murderers. A few months back, Eesa, who spent most of the time with his friend Kadukkai (Singampuli), fell in love with Selvi. Selvi accepted his love, and they got married. She later became pregnant. One day, Selvi saw Annachi and his gang brutally murdering a government official and his wife. Selvi questioned them, resulting in her brutal murder. Eesa, who was working in the salt pan, heard a cry of pain and discovered his wife in blood. Eesa tried to save her, but she died in his arms. The rest of the story is how Eesa killed Annachi.

Ashok and his college mate Divya (Bharathi) fell in love with each other. First reluctant, Sudha accepted to get married to Kannan, a marketing manager. What matters the most to Sudha was her brother so she imposed one condition to Kannan : that her brother lives with them after the marriage. They eventually got married but after the marriage, the things don’t turn out as she expected, the in-laws refused her condition. Ashok was then forced to live in his college hostel where he became a drug addict. Ashok could neither perform well in basketball games nor focus on studies and was eventually suspended from his college. So Sudha took him to her home but the situation had only worsened, his addiction hurt his entourage. Ashok was then rejected by his friends, his girlfriend and even his sister. During an argument with his sister and his brother-in-law, Ashok accidentally fell off a building.

Avinash, who is a struggler, on the other hand, loses his job as an extra in films after an argument with an egoistic actor. A newcomer Indu (Laila Mehdin) is helped by Avinash to enter the industry and soon both fall in love with each other not knowing that she had been subjected to a compromise with the producer. Hopeless, Avinash decides to be an auto-rickshaw driver but Indu apologises and encourages Avinash to be a good actor. Soon, Avinash and Indu’s luck turns when the filmmaker (Asrani) casts them as leads in his next film after being impressed on their acting skills. Meghna, a news reporter (Lara Dutta) develops a liking towards Rathod, but the latter is still traumatised and angered on his wife’s death.
