When his brother is killed in a robbery, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to take his place in a mission on the distant world of Pandora. There he learns of greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge’s intentions of driving off the native humanoid “Na’vi” in order to mine for the precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for the spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch, while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the Na’vi people with the use of an “avatar” identity. While Jake begins to bond with the native tribe and quickly falls in love with the beautiful alien Neytiri, the restless Colonel moves forward with his ruthless extermination tactics, forcing the soldier to take a stand – and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.

Arun Kumar (Vishnu Vishal) is an aspiring filmmaker who wants to make a movie on psychopaths. Ammu gets into trouble when she makes Arun sign like her father in her report card. Her class teacher figures this out and thinks she signed it herself. He meets and befriends Ammu’s teacher Viji (Amala Paul) and her niece Kayal (Baby Monica).

Thamizh (Prashanth) leads a happy life with his mother (Manorama) and sister-in-law Kalaichelvi (Urvasi). Thamizh’s brother (Livingston) is working in Kuwait, and he too dreams of joining him there. Their tenant Meenakshi (Simran) and Thamizh fall in love. When the goons of Periyavar (Ashish Vidyarthi) injure Thamizh’s niece, he stops Periyavar’s car on the road and questions him. He then beats up one of Periyavar’s goons when insulted. This makes him Periyavar’s target, and though he tries to withdraw from the violence, he is forced to join forces with Rathnam (Nassar), Periyavar’s sworn enemy, and eventually defeats him.

Ezhumalai (Arjun) leads a peaceful life as a dance master in the village. Anjali (Gajala) falls in love with him before learning he has a son and his wife Lakshmi (Simran) is dead. She wishes to marry him but faces competition from Lakshmi’s sister Sandhya (Mumtaj), who also wishes to wed him. Anjali is the daughter of Nagalingam (Ashish Vidyarthi), who is from a neighboring village. When she reveals this fact to Ezhumalai, she learns he and her father are sworn enemies, and her father killed Lakshmi.

Count Gentry aka, Sierra Six a highly skilled former CIA Operative, was once the agency’s best merchant of death. Varun (Vijay Deverakonda) is a video game designer living in the UK. He is the son of Vasudev (Nassar), the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. When consequences make Vasudev resign his post, he decides to pass it on to Varun. Now Chief Minister, Varun accepts this, though he does nothing except play video games. Consequences turn plates negatively to Vasudev, who is sentenced for prison. After Vasudev is arrested, riots take place. In the riots, a bus gets burnt, and a schoolgirl dies in the fire. Varun, who was out to meet his guru Mahendran (Sathyaraj), goes to the spot where the bus was burnt. He is heartbroken hearing the wails of the girl’s mother. He then realizes the importance of his position and stops the riots. This incident paves way for him to gain support.
