The life of a young man and his struggles against the privatization of education.

Vetrimaaran IPS is a young and dedicated cop posted as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in Chennai, where he lives with his parents and his brother. A seemingly innocuous case of a missing woman he is assigned to, evolves to become a double murder case. Though the investigation leads him to meet his soulmate, the case gets murkier by the day. The situation get out of hand when his own family gets embroiled in the mix and he is pushed against time to decode the mystery.

The movie begins with Ramesh (Atharvaa) waking up in a hangover and remembering the events of the previous day. After a breakup with his girlfriend Madhu (Mishti), he drinks a lot along with his friend Nandhu (Karunakaran). On his advice, Ramesh calls for a female escort and sneaks her into his apartment. Ramesh has to step out of his house due to his neighbor Devi’s (Devadarshini) emergency situation. He asks the escort Nina (Anaika Soti) to wait inside his house, promising to come back soon. While he returns, he finds her dead. Ramesh is shocked and tries to find details about her. He sees restaurant receipts in her bag, checks the CCTV footages, and finds that another man Ravi (Prinz Nithik) had accompanied her prior to her meeting him. From her cell phone, he finds her house address, travels to Palakkad, and asks Nandhu to stay behind and guard the dead body. He is not able to find any information from Nina’s family and leaves, but Nina’s sister makes a call to Sekar (John Vijay) and informs him about Ramesh.

Prabhu, a young college student, kidnaps his lover Rithika when her father disapproves of their relationship. Manoj Menon, an encounter specialist, is appointed to track them down.

Adored by the villagers for his good deeds, Prashanth gets a shock when Vijayakumar informs that he is his foster son.A shocked Velan sets out on a mission to know about his past. He reaches Chennai and comes to know that his family members were killed by a dreaded gangster Deva (Vijayan). He had then vowed to kill him and his gang. In the name of Jambhavan, he starts to kill rowdies in the society.Suffering an injury in his head, Velan loses memory and is later adopted by Vijayakumar. He comes to know that his job was just half-done. The rest is how he puts an end to Fefsi Vijayan and his men coming to Chennai.

The film’s story revolves around a taxi driver and the son of a rich businessman, in which the two come in contact. The taxi driver, protective of his profession, lets everyone think he is an insurance broker while the rich youngster has the obstacle of retrieving his father’s will and eventually leaves the locker key in the taxi driver’s cab in an accident. The driver is falsely accused and imprisoned due to which his family comes to know his true job as a taxi driver. The debacles that occur thereafter form the climax of the story.

It is a story of gang wars and how a newly emerged don robs the other existing gangs and gets the ultimate power among all. But eventually it turns out that he has been working in cahoot with the police forces and this was all their plan to track down all the underworld activities and trading.
