Vadivel and his friends specialize in different aspects of film making and decided to make their first movie as one team. Vadivel wants his first film to be his story based on Tamil folklore that is also close to his heart since his father was a performer of the dying rural art form -‘Koothu’. But every producer he meets, reject his story on grounds of absence of elements that would make it commercially viable and deem it too risky an option for a debut. Driven to the limits of desperation and not wanting to jeopardize the careers of his friends, he puts forth a plan to fund the movie by executing a heist. Pilla Zamindar 2011
Praveen Jaya Ramaraju aka P.J (Nani) is the grandson of a wealthy Zamindar Rudra Ramaraju (Nagineedu). PJ is a spoilt and an arrogant youngster. His grandfather writes a will with several conditions before he dies. His will states that PJ would inherit the entire wealth only if he completes his graduation as a common man without any luxuries. PJ now has to not only complete his graduate studies but he must do it within three years and he should study in a government college in a small village called Siripuram.
Friends 2001
Aravindan (Vijay), Chandru (Suriya), and Krishnamurthy (Ramesh Khanna) value friendship over everything else, even family. For this reason, Chandru resists the advances of Aravindan’s sister Amutha (Vijayalakshmi). When the trio takes up a painter’s job at a mansion, Aravindan falls in love with Padmini (Devayani), who lives there. Padmini’s jealous cousin Abhirami (Abhinayashree) makes him believe that his overtures are reciprocated. When the truth is revealed and Padmini rejects him, Chandru stands up for his friend and speaks ill of her. This makes her swear to separate the friends.[2] After the marriage, Aravindan realises the hand of Abhirami behind all the mishaps, and Padmini realises that Chandru is innocent. Chandru and Amutha’s marriage is arranged. Gautham (Sriman) is Aravindan’s cousin who is in love with Amutha and wants to separate the pair. He makes Chandru believe that Padmini is trying to kill Amutha. Padmini is angry with Chandru. Aravindan tells the truth that in their young ages, he unknowingly killed Chandru’s deaf and mute brother. Gautham records this and makes Chandru hear it. Chandru and Aravindan fight and go by their ways. Aravindan tries to convince Chandru but falls from the top of a mountain. Chandru believes that Aravindan is dead, but after five years, he finds out that Aravindan is not dead but has ended up in a coma. Gautham is now torturing his family a lot. When he comes to know that Chandru has come back, he starts to beat him up. After hearing Chandru’s cry of pain, Aravindan wakes up from his coma. He beats up Gautham, and everyone rejoins and lives happily.

To make things worse, Sakthivel reveals his plans on opening a chain of restaurants in Chennai which saddens Periya Thevar as he wanted his son to help the villagers improve their lifestyle with his level of education.
