A young woman (Sneha) who’s always hidden her ardor for her handsome neighbor (Tarun) decides to take a risk by enlisting her devious sister’s matchmaking help. But the plan backfires when she’s betrayed by her jealous sibling, who proclaims her own feelings for the young man. He ends up meeting his office crush in an elevator but ends up botching her proposal.Disheartened and confused jeeva decides to drink with this best friend karthik.He explains that he is enchanted by a mysterious girl.The mysterious girl appears to jeeva again and reveals her name as “Miruna”.Jeeva proposes to miruna and she disappears.Mean while Jeeva starts seeing prolific premonitions which deeply concerns his friend. Karthik decides to take jeeva to a Psychiatrist.The doctor concludes his abnormalities could be a Bipolar or Schizophrenia but leads them to another Psychic. Mean while the Psychic reader is approached by police for a missing child case. Jeeva and Karthik meets the psychic,who reveals that Jeeva is having early precognitive symptoms.The story reveals further on the connection between the missing child and jeeva’s precognition.

Shanmugakani (K. Bhagyaraj) arrives in the village of Thaayamangalam as the new school teacher and soon falls in love with a local damsel Jothi (Rati Agnihotri). The village head called as “Periyavar” (played by G.Srinivasan) is a lecherous and sinister man who has a lustful eye on Jothi. Amavasai (Goundamani) is Periyavar’s stooge who also has a long-standing desire to marry Jothi. Periyavar frames Shanmugakani for the rape and murder of a woman social activist and gets him evicted from the village and gets Jothi married by deceit to Amavasai. He asks Amavasai and Jothi to stay with him in order to satiate his lust with Jothi. What happens afterwards forms the rest of the story.

Kathirvel Murugan (Bharath) is a software engineer in Chennai. He shares his room with friend Sakkarai (Santhanam). Kathir hails from Usilampatti but wants to project him as city-bred and his ambition is to settle in USA. Kathir’s father Sevaka Pandian (Sampath Raj) is against his son’s attitude. An influential local chieftain, he is against inter-caste marriage and love. Kathir meets Nisha (Rima Kallingal), who too wants to go abroad. Nisha loses her passport, and Kathir helps her find it. Slowly, he falls for her. Meanwhile, Sevaka Pandian arranges for his son’s wedding with a High Court judge’s daughter Thangameena (Anuja Iyer). In the meantime, Kathir and Nisha get their visa and get ready to leave together for USA.
Kathir thinks that he has escaped from his marriage, and when he wants to propose to Nisha, he gets a rude shock. She informs him that she is going to USA for her marriage. In the meantime, Sevaka Pandian comes to know about their relationship and kidnaps her. Afterwards Kathir also comes to know about it and saves Nisha, but her marriage gets stopped. After 10 months, they both meet in the same country again. Kathir doesn’t want to see her, but his mind changes, and he tries to make Nisha love him. At last, they both fall in love with each other. Now they return to their hometown for their marriage. Initially, Sevaka Pandian doesn’t allow. Later Kathir convinces them and they both marry each other making it a very happy ending.
