The movie starts of with Sigamani (Bharath) as a young student refusing to go to school. His father, after having heated arguments with the school teacher, says his son does not have to go to school. Thus, Sigamani grows up illiterate and uneducated. After 25 years, he has grown up to be a siddha vaithiyar, following his family’s roots. There is also a marriage broker in this story, Vijay Sethupathy (Singampuli), who tries hard to find an educated girl for Sigamani, but he is unable to. Due to the fact that Sigamani is uneducated, he is easily cheated by his friends. His only trustable friend is Paalpandi (Karunakaran). In desperation to get married to an educated girl, Sigamani plans to wait outside a college to find a girl to love. He then sees Nandini (Nandita) and decides to go after her. One day, Sigamani and Paalpandi follow Nandini and end up in her house. After listening to an unknown phone call, Nandini’s father Chinnadurai (Thambi Ramaiah) mistakes Sigamani to be a doctor who has studied MBBS and arranges for the marriage, which also takes place successfully and Sigamani is happy as his dream of marrying an educated girl has come true. Before the interval, Ravichandar places another major twist in the story to keep the audience in the edge of their seats.

Kannan (Vimal), Ayyavu (Bharani), Rajamani (Gaurav Narayanan), and Mariappan (Nishanth) are four friends who live their lives in their own way in Madurai. They burry the dead bodies on the backyard. All their guests die except the school kids and teacher who were sent by the locak police.Baffled, Kiran tries to uncover the mystery behind the deaths, only to find the dead people were previous owner of the bungalow,which leads him to believe that the house is haunted.

Badri (Vijay) is the youngest son of a family and a careless guy, always going around girls and enjoying with them. His womanizing habits are a source of heartburn for his father (Kitty). Janu (Bhumika Chawla), Badri’s neighbor, is in love with him, but it is just one sided as Badri considers her a good friend and a source of money and cars to impress girls (Janu’s father is a garage owner). He falls in love with Mamathi (Monal), a rich girl, and poses as a rich guy to impress her. However, she soon finds out Badri has lied to her. Mamathi dumps Badri and insults him in front of his father. Badri’s father, tired of his son’s antics, disowns him. Later Vetri is attacked by his enemies and is bedridden, unable to take part in the kick boxing championship. Badri decides to fight in his brother’s place to redeem his family name as his father always wanted his son to win the kick boxing championship. So he trains hard and fights against Rohit, who happens to be Mamathi’s new boyfriend. He defeats Rohit, redeems himself in front of his father’s eyes and finally accepts Janu’s love.
