A teacher falls in love with a young British woman who works as an English teacher at the same school. He tries to woo her, leads conflicts that come crashing on them as they face the biggest battle of their lives – to get married.

Sekar, a thief taking refuge by working on a farm, falls in love with Anjali, a local girl. When Anjali’s parents discover that he is a thief, they discourage her from continuing the relationship. Anjali ignores her parents’ advice and continues making plans to elope with him. While Sekar’s parents make arrangements for the young couple to marry, Sekar continues his criminal activities. On the night before Sekar and Anjali’s marriage, Sekar’s criminal cronies intoxicate him in order to sell Anjali into slavery. Sekar looks for Anjali, eventually finding the place where she was sold, and kills a woman working in the slavery business. Meanwhile, Anjali is injured by slave traders as she is thrown from a car when the drivers learn of the woman’s murder by Sekar. While hospitalized, Anjali is killed by her father who fears unwanted media attention. Sekar reaches the hospital and learns about the death of Anjali.[citation needed]

He seeks advice from a doctor on how to solve his problem. The doctor tells him to try and marry Kanmani off to her male cousin. Following Akhilan’s advice, Kanmani’s cousin decides to marry Kanmani, but she rejects him. One day, Kanmani’s cousin kidnaps her, rapes her, and leaves her at Akhilan’s apartment. This shocks everyone in the family, especially Akhilan. He admits to Kanmani about his action, and also told that the raping plan was not his advice. The whole family forces Kanmani to marry her cousin. The next morning, Kanmani committed suicide and died. Akhilan and Anbarasi, with their infant, go back to her village. Anbarasi’s aunt hits Kanmani’s husband as she thinks it was because of him Kanmani died. Akhilan, standing right beside him, was guilty because it was he who planned all this to avoid Kanmani disturbing his married life.

It follows the romance of Rambo with Kanmani and Khatija.

Rajini is working as a coolie in a factory. He is asked by three brothers (Nizhalgal Ravi, Radharavi, S. S. Chandran) to act as a foreign-returned rich man, the heir of a property. Rajini acts, but always escapes as he doesn’t want to face consequences. But then he comes to know that he is the heir to the property, his father was killed by three brothers to take away the property and mother (Sujatha) became a mental patient. He avenges the death of his father by killing the villains. At last, he says he doesn’t want to be an heir to money and always remains as a coolie.

Sridhar (Tarun) is a final year degree student and gets selected in the campus selections for studies abroad. He goes to Mumbai for an interview and in his return finds Preeti (Trisha) and loses his heart to her. Sridhar comes to know that Preeti was about to join in degree and Preeti learns that he was a final year degree student. Sridhar is an ardent cricket fan, so is Preeti, while Sridhar is also a good football player. The principal of the college appoints a coach called Reshma (Shriya), who is also a student, for the football team led by Sridhar. Sridhar tries his best to trace Preeti by visiting several women’s colleges, while Preeti also watches for Sridhar at the men’s college. Accidentally, Preeti helps Sridhar’s mother, when she had a heart attack. In order to find Preeti at any cost, Sridhar goes to the LB Stadium, where a cricket match is in progress and gets injuries in a bomb blast in the stadium. Just before the blast, both Preeti and Sridhar find each other but could not meet due to the blast.
