Bhaskar (Arvind Swamy) is a business tycoon and single parent. His father Rangasamy (Nassar) is a retired businessman, and Bhaskar has taken over his businesses. Bhaskar deals with all the situations in his business with rowdyism and has a crude and crass personality. This behavior earns him the name ‘Rascal’. He is a widower and has a son Aakash (Master Raghavan). Aakash and Shivani (Baby Nainika) study in the same school. Shivani’s mother Anu (Amala Paul) is also a single parent. She meets Bhaskar at the school. Shivani admires Bhaskar for his authoritative stance and treats him like a father figure.

Based on the backdrop of an illegal sand-mining racket, Veerapuram is the story of a young couple who are a witness to these illegal activities.

Surya (Ram Pothineni) is a carefree youth who lives with his father Narayana Murthy (Sathyaraj). He loves his father and is very protective of him. When they visit the temple, Murthy meets a disciplined and valued girl named Bhanumathi (Raashi Khanna) whom he wishes which house she will enter it, would be very lucky. This is noticed by Surya, and he decides to marry only her just for his father’s wish. He wants 50,000 for a delivery operation. He gets 40,000 from his friends and meets Bhanumathi (unaware that she is the same girl) and falls for her, but he does not do it because of the temple girl. He fools her and takes the remaining 10,000 from her. She tells that her father (Posani Krishna Murali) thinks that money should be with us till last, and he even makes her wear glasses on the rationale that no one would fall in love with her if she looks like an aunty. She is taken by Surya’s attitude of enjoying life to the fullest. He takes her to the delivery he helped the couple’s house. They ask him to name the baby, which he names Bhanumathi because she gave the remaining 10,000, which makes Bhanumathi fall for him. She proposes to him but is rejected because of the temple girl (which is herself but she does not know it). Surya reciprocates it when he discovers that she is the same girl. As everything was going correct, Minister Rajappa (Rao Ramesh) troubles Murthy to get his signature for a file. Murthy objects for this signature and lands in deep trouble. Surya solves the problem. Murthy retires happily, giving the credit of his happiness to Surya. Surya later marries Bhanumathi and lives happily.

Shiva is a youth from Kumbakonam who unites lovers and his family supports him. This brings him several troubles, one of which from David when Shiva stops David’s marriage with a girl who refused to marry him. David wants to know who stopped his marriage and leaves the place without a word after seeing him. This worries his father, Ratnam as he fears that David might harm his son. Shiva hallucinates a woman who he calls Mala, who asks him ‘Why did you do like this?’ and he replies that he will correct everything. He is having a trouble for a reason and his family consoles him. Shiva’s sister is getting married and Shiva ensures that no trouble comes in the marriage. However, on the day before marriage, Shiva had to face a critical situation through David who threatens to stop his sister’s marriage like how Shiva stopped his marriage. Shiva begs David and tells him that he is ready to do anything for him in return of letting his sister’s marriage happen without any problem. David demands him to abduct a woman from Madurai, who is the daughter of Minister Manivasagam, an influential politician Madurai. Shiva agrees and leaves for Madurai missing his sister’s wedding.

Everything goes smooth until the day when he gets caught between deadly goons and his uncle who finds out about him and tries to overtake his business.

Mahavir Singh Phogat is a former amateur wrestler and national champion residing in Balali. He was forced by his father to give up the sport in order to obtain gainful employment. Dejected that he could not win a medal for his country, he vows that his unborn son will. Disappointed upon having four daughters, he gives up hope. But when his older daughters Geeta and Babita come home after beating up two boys in response to derogatory comments, he realises their potential to become wrestlers and begins coaching them.
His methods seem harsh, including grueling early morning workouts and short haircuts. Despite facing backlash from the villagers, he goes ahead with them, training them in his makeshift mud pit. Initially, the girls resent their father for his treatment but soon realise that he cares for their future. Motivated, they willingly participate in wrestling tournaments where they defeat boys. Unable to afford wrestling mats, he uses mattresses and trains them in freestyle wrestling to prepare them for competitive events. Geeta goes on to win the junior and senior championships at the state and national level before heading to the National Sports Academy in Patiala to train for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.

Siva, a student, comes to Vijayawada from a nearby town to pursue his education. He lives with his brother Sharath’s family, and enrolls in the VAS College of Arts and Sciences. Although Sharath and his daughter Keerthi get along well with Siva, his wife considers him a financial burden. Siva befriends a group of students and falls in love with Asha, sister of the honest police inspector Venkat. The college’s (unopposed) student-union president, J. Durga Rao (known as J. D.) is the lowest rung in a gang ladder reaching through the gangster Ganesh to Bhavani, a crime boss. Bhavani uses the network to support his mentor Machiraju, a politician. Although J. D. is arrested many times, Bhavani continues to bail him out. When J. D. teases Asha on campus, Siva attacks him with a bicycle chain; a rivalry then develops between him and Ganesh. The incident encourages Siva’s friends to ask him to stand for the student-union presidency, but he wants them to nominate Naresh (one of the group) instead. Ganesh’s attempts to pacify Siva fail, and Bhavani learns about him. He considers Siva a potential replacement for J. D., whose weakness annoys him. Naresh is fatally assaulted by J. D. and Bhavani’s henchmen, and is taken to hospital. Siva retaliates, infuriating Bhavani. When Siva’s friends attend a wedding, they are attacked by Ganesh and others. One of Siva’s friends, Malli, is murdered and Siva swears revenge. Sensing a risk to Sharath’s family after an attempt on Keerthi’s life, Siva leaves their house and moves into his friend Chinna’s hostel. He agrees to contest the student-union presidential election. Bhavani cheats labour-union leader Krishna Reddy, who changes his allegiance to Siva. Around this time, Asha and Siva marry. Bhavani begins attacking and murdering Siva’s close aides, and Siva ensures that Sharath relocates to Visakhapatnam as a part of his job. Siva attacks Bhavani’s henchmen, and helps Venkat arrest Ganesh. Machiraju sees Siva as a potential replacement for Bhavani, and stops supporting the latter. Bhavani learns about Siva’s relationship to Sharath, and kidnaps Keerthi. Ganesh appears in court, and an arrest warrant is issued for Bhavani. Insulted and humiliated, Bhavani kills Keerthi and Machiraju. Siva and Bhavani later duel on a shopping-complex terrace. Bhavani commits suicide, and Siva walks out as Asha and Venkat watch in dismay.
