An astrophysics student and an eccentric singer hatch an outlandish plan to travel to Mars. But all visionaries must face impediments before accomplishing their dreams; in this case, the duo will have to deal with brain-dead cops, Dons with trust issues and suicidal IT employees before pulling off the impossible.

Vijay (Arjun) is a hitman who works for Sundaramoorthy (Radha Ravi). He kills anybody for a price, other than women and children and he lives alone in an apartment. Pooja (Pooja), a young girl, studies in a boarding school and comes to her father’s house for the holiday. Between her abusive father, selfish stepmother and an arrogant step-aunt, Pooja feels rather badly but she treasures her lovely little brother Dinesh (Mahanadi Dinesh). Pooja tries to befriend Vijay but Vijay is not interested. Her father is a drug smuggler. One day, a corrupt police officer Jayanth (Raghuvaran) kills Pooja’s family including her brother. Vijay decides to accommodate Pooja and Pooja compels him to teach her his skills as a hitman. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Rajalakshmi is a multi-millionaire who is very proud of her wealth. Her son falls in love with Govindaswamy’s daughter. He is Rajalakshmi’s rival, and hence she always tries to humiliate him in front of everyone.

After learning of the Arjun and Sailaja’s love, Deva and Sailaja’s father work up devious plans to break them up. And finally they succeed in creating a rift between the two lovers. Though Arjun realizes what is really happening, Sailaja falls prey to the foils of the Deva and her father. The young lovers part ways; Sailaja becomes a leading lady in the movies and Arjun works with his uncle in a quarry as a demolition expert. Deva is cheated out of some money by Sailaja’s father, and as revenge, he finds out where Sailaja now lives and kidnaps her from right under her parents’ noses. Sailaja’s father realizes that the only person who is daring enough and cares enough to get his daughter back is Arjun and goes to him with his pleas. It takes much convincing, but Arjun finally decides to rescue Sailaja but for reasons other than love. How successful is Arjun in rescuing Sailaja? Will Sailaja realize that Arjun was true in his love? Will they fall in love again?

Venu (Mohanlal) is a high-profile news cameraman working in Reuters. He graduated from a premier film institute but preferred to shoot news rather than the manipulated visuals for movies. He is mostly based in Delhi but has come to Kochi to appear for a case in which he is involved. He is assigned to cover a case involving a local politician where he gets to meet Renuka (Amala Paul). Renuka is the executive editor of Bharath Vision and Venu and Renuka have a story to tell of their own. A flashback tells the story about how two lovers turned into foes.

Kodaivannan and Kolaivannan, of a remote village decide to marry a rich girl. The villagers decide to hold a cricket match. And make a decision to get the girl married to either of the guys based on who wins the cricket match. The ‘good’ hearted Kodaivannan’s team kidnap a cricketer, Sadagoppan Ramesh, while he is on his way to Thekkady. Kolaivannan then hires a greedy big shot coach from Chennai who eyes the big land of the village for his business.
Now, the teams of Kodaivannan and Kolaivannan have one more reason to fight against each other. To save the village, And the latter for the land which the greedy coach demands. Though, at the last, Kodaivannan wins the match successfully with Sadagopan Ramesh’s coaching.
In between, the coach Sadagoppan Ramesh falls in love with that girl whom Kodaivannan and Kolaivannan intend to marry.
