The film starts with Inspector Manimaran (Vinoth Munna) taking the job of Don Junga’s (Vijay Sethupathi) encounter, along with Duraisingam (Rajendran). On the way to his encounter, Junga tells his story. Back in Pollachi, he works as a bus conductor and is in love with Thoppuli (Madonna Sebastian). He gets involved in a fight, which angers his mother (Saranya Ponvannan) as his father Ranga and grandfather Linga were dons. They also lost their theatre Cinema Paradise and had to sell it to Kumarasamy Chettiyaar (Suresh Chandra Menon). So his mother fears he will also become a don. Junga tells his mother he will not be a don and will retrieve their ownership of the theatre. He goes to Chennai with Yo Yo (Yogi Babu) and starts saving money towards his goal. He also leaves Thoppuli as she wants him to give her a luxurious life and gift her with 365 sarees for each day of the year. One day, Junga comes to know that the theatre is being brought down and Chettiyaar is planning to sell it to a foreign company. He goes to Chettiyaar’s house and gives him a crore to buy back his theatre, but Chettiyaar insults him. Junga challenges Chettiyaar that he will retrieve back his theatre. He decides to kidnap Chettiyaar’s daughter Yazhini (Sayyeshaa), who is in Paris, so he goes there with Yo Yo, but the Italian mafia group kidnaps Yazhini to release their leader, who was arrested by the French police. Junga tells Chettiyaar he has kidnapped Yazhini and fights with the mafia group to rescue her from them. Yazhini and Junga escape, and Chettiyaar agrees to give Junga’s family the theatre in exchange for Yazhini. Yazhini and Junga later get married.

In a tiny concrete-and-tin Chennai home in the slums live two young brothers with their mother and grandmother. With the boys’ father in prison for unknown reasons and with an ageing mother-in-law, the mother does her best to keep the kitchen fires burning. The brothers spend their time playing games and stealing and devouring eggs from crows’ nests. Their love for these eggs leads them to start calling themselves “Periya Kaaka Muttai” ( Big Crow Egg) and “Chinna Kaaka Muttai” (Small Crow Egg).
The young boys constantly beg their mother and grandmother for toys they cannot afford, and later for a television. They don’t yet understand that the two women can’t give them everything they want. When their mother and grandmother finally do bring home a television – a gift from the government to ration card holders who live below the poverty line – it’s like the opening of a portal. The boys see a pizza commercial on TV whose steaming, slow-motion images make the unfamiliar food look like manna from heaven. Meanwhile, a brand new pizzeria comes up in the neighbourhood, and actor Silambarasan alias Simbu comes to its opening. Remembering the looks of enjoyment on Simbu’s face when he tasted a pizza at the pizzeria, the boys thereafter think of nothing else but getting their first taste of a pizza.

Arjun keeps bumping into Sailaja coincidentally every time it rains. This makes them both feel that it is perhaps the rain that keeps bringing them together, and they start to fall in love. Deva, on the other hand, takes the back-door route to get the girl, with the help of her good-for-nothing father (Kalabhavan Mani). After learning of the Arjun and Sailaja’s love, Deva and Sailaja’s father work up devious plans to break them up. And finally they succeed in creating a rift between the two lovers. Though Arjun realizes what is really happening, Sailaja falls prey to the foils of the Deva and her father. The young lovers part ways; Sailaja becomes a leading lady in the movies and Arjun works with his uncle in a quarry as a demolition expert. Deva is cheated out of some money by Sailaja’s father, and as revenge, he finds out where Sailaja now lives and kidnaps her from right under her parents’ noses. Sailaja’s father realizes that the only person who is daring enough and cares enough to get his daughter back is Arjun and goes to him with his pleas. It takes much convincing, but Arjun finally decides to rescue Sailaja but for reasons other than love. How successful is Arjun in rescuing Sailaja? Will Sailaja realize that Arjun was true in his love? Will they fall in love again?

He realises there is an uncanny similarity between the boy and his ex-girlfriend, so he decides to get to know the boy further only to uncover something Dev didn’t wish he knew in the first place.

Pandian and Pandiarajan are two notorious sons of the village cinema theater owner V. K. Ramasamy. Pandian goes to a neighbouring village to see a girl as arranged by his father towards his marriage and ends up in the wrong house. Coincidentally, those in the wrong house are also expecting a lad to see their daughter on the same time and the same day. Contrary to real time arranged marriages, Pandian goes to see the girl totally un-aided by parents, relatives and friends. Nevertheless, he takes a liking to the girl, Seetha and decides to marry her. Seetha likes the lad and decides to accept the proposal.
Meanwhile, Seetha’s marriage broker shows up and clarifies that Pandian was supposed to have gone to see some other girl but ended up in the wrong house. Hearing this, Pandian, Seetha and Seetha’s parents seem disappointed. Pandian’s father fixes dates for her marriage to the girl originally chosen for him — Revathi, a school teacher’s daughter. Pandian’s adamance to marry Seetha causes a strange turn of events. Pandiyarajan, the younger brother, finally marries Revathi while Pandian ties the knot with this love Seetha.
