Adhyan travels from Japan to Chennai to find a girl he met online. However, as he feels jet lagged a few criminals take notice and frame him for a crime he doesn’t commit.

Meanwhile, Surya (Sampath Raj) voices against Sivalingam. As it happens, Sivalingam’s son Ranjith (Aryan) plays spoilsport in the life of Bhavani’s sister Deepa (Yasmin Khan). Efforts to prove him guilty by Bhavani end in vain. Now, a conspiracy is hatched by Bhavani in the company of Surya, and Ranjith is killed. An enraged Sivalingam takes Bhavani head-on. Sivalingam vows vengeance, and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Kalyanam (Soori), his uncle, aspires for a political career, but due to the error committed by a drunk photographer, Saravanan ends up as the local head of a national party, and this upsets Kalyanam, who is left with no option but to leave the country to take up a job in Dubai. His other uncle’s daughter Thaenmozhi (Regina Cassandra) returns to town after many years, and Saravanan is besotted by her and falls in love with her. In the meantime, Kalyanam returns and awaits an opportunity to teach a lesson to Saravanan. Whether Saravanan succeeds in his love and whether Kalyanam manages to put Saravanan in his place is told in the rest of the story.

Leelatharan aka Lee (Sibiraj) hangs out with a bunch of merry youths who do practically any work and play football in other times. It is a strong-willed and thick-tied group. Chellama (Nila), a worker in a facility for the mentally-challenged, is also kind of a groupie. Life is all merry and mirth till she espies Lee & co, attempting an assassination of sorts on a minister. The bid fails, but Chellama is shocked and so are we. Why would this bunch want to take a crack at the murky world of politics and cricket?

The film, however, follows familiar pattern of Spanish original, wherein a corpse mysteriously disappears from the city morgue. This leads to summoning of police officer to investigate the case of missing body. As usual needle of suspicion falls on woman’s husband. While Spanish film is noir genre cinema, Ramesh’s Game with its taut and gripping screenplay, is aptly tailored to suit the Indian audience’s palate. How, no-nonsense, smart cop Sharath Chandra unravels the truth; whether high profile lady Maya, has been murdered, is it a case of catalepsy, or case of drunken driving, hit and run, behind it, forms the fulcrum of eerie and edgy Game set in specially constructed forensic lab.
