Kannan and Dass are two famous rowdies in their village. Dass has a sister called Uma with whom Manikkampillai (shortened as ‘Mapillai’) is in love but she is not interested in him. Mapillai joins Kannan’s and Dass’ firm KD & Company as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of their sister. KD & Company once keeps as hostage a music troupe who comes to their village to perform. The main singer of that troupe, Sangeetha gets expelled from her home because of this and so Kannan and Dass gives her refuge upon insistence from Uma. Meenakshi is the childhood friend of Kannan with whose father, both Kannan and Dass has enmity.

Velu (R. Sarathkumar) is living happily with his sister and friend Pazhani (Vadivelu) in Palani. He stays away from all wanted troubles and is forced to resort to fighting to defend his sister from the local rowdy Raghavan (Vincent Asokan). A flashback follows where it is revealed that Velu is a military officer and his sister is actually the sister of his best friend, Police Officer Murugan (Kalabhavan Mani) of Chennai. It is also revealed that Velu had maintained a low profile to protect his sister from his foe Naachiyar (Kota Srinivasa Rao) whom he had left crippled before he went into hiding.

The story revolves around two bad guys who struggle with forces of good and evil while exploring the psychological secret that people tend to bury deep within their minds. The film reveals dark secrets, which manifest into a series of attacks that seek to destroy the protagonists.
Sandamarutham 2015
The movie begins with an investigation of a girl who has been dead along with a small vessel. That small vessel is actually a weapon as it contains explosive chemicals (a bomb named “Ophalaska”) with its changing colours.
Now comes the quarreling between two gangs, in which one gang is headed by Sarveshwaran (R. Sarathkumar). He lives in Kumbakonam along with his men. Another scene opens in Pollachi, where Surya (R. Sarathkumar) is an unemployed youth. He lives in a bungalow with his joint family. Maha (Meera Nandan) falls in love with Surya. Surya sees a metal sheet written in Chinese. When he magnifies that, he sees a Chinese script along with some Tamil words.
Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2013
On 16 September, superstar Gautham Krishna (Prakash Raj) gets ready for the release of his new film. On the same day, Traffic Constable Satyamoorthy (Cheran) returns to duty after his suspension for taking bribes. The day is special for Dr. Robin (Prasanna), who is celebrating his first wedding anniversary. Karthik Vishwanathan (Sachin), an aspiring TV journalist, starts his first job with an interview with Gautham. On the same day, at a crowded traffic junction, Karthik, who was set to interview Gautham, and Ajmal (Mitun), traveling on a bike is hit by a speeding car and is rushed to Global Hospital. Also at the junction, in another car, was Robin. Karthik goes into a coma and is declared brain dead, although he is kept alive on a ventilator.
Meanwhile, Gautham’s ailing daughter Ria’s (Gabriella Charlton) heart condition worsens and urgently needs a heart transplant. At first, Karthik’s parents do not agree to donate their son’s heart, but Ajmal and Karthik’s girlfriend Aditi (Parvathy) persuade them. Now that the heart is available, the problem is how to transport it to Vellore. No chartered flights or helicopters were available and so the heart must be taken by road. Someone had to drive 150 kilometers in under 2 hours during rush hour. City Police Commissioner Sundara Pandian (R. Sarathkumar) is asked to carry out the mission. He initially refuses, considering the complexity and risk involved, but finally succumbs to the persuasion of Dr. Arumainayagam (Vijayakumar). Accompanying him on the mission are Robin and Ajmal. At some point, they lose connection and the vehicle mysteriously disappears. Under pressure and stress, Satyamoorthy trusts his own instincts and takes his own route. Sundara Pandian loses patience and loses hope that he’ll be able to transport the heart in time, resulting in cancelling the mission. Just in time, Satyamoorthy manages to get connection, which motivates everyone to deliver the heart safely in time. As the mission proceeds, it is discovered that before Dr. Robin committed to accompany Satyamoorthy on this mission, he had attempted to kill his wife, due to her affair with his best friend. To escape from the police, Robin tries to sabotage the mission, but Gautham’s wife (Raadhika) convinces him to save her daughter’s life. They reach the hospital in time to save the girl’s life just as Karthik’s father (Jayaprakash) and mother (Lakshmy Ramakrishnan) prepare to cremate their son.
Paarai 2003
Durairaj (Sarath Kumar) is a lorry driver who is tough as a nail. He had a bitter childhood, has no relatives or friends, and his only solace is Jayaram (Jayaram), his cleaner who is just the opposite of him. Jayaram is a happy-go-lucky guy who dotes on his wife Mallika (Meena), mother (Vadivukkarasi), and daughter, and dreams of making enough money to build a small house for his family. Durai and Jayaram share a special bond, as they understand each other well.
On his way to see his family, Jayaram dies in an accident, and Durai goes to his village with the body. There he finds that Jayaram’s family needs his help, and out of sympathy, he decides to settle there and build a small house according to his friend’s last wish. There he comes across a local landlord Vijayan (Vijayan), who cheats the illiterate villagers by giving them loans and later taking over their property. Then there is a tea shop owner Vasantha (Ramya Krishnan), on whom the entire men folk lust. But she is hardworking, and at the same time foul-mouthed and a terror. Vasantha’s brother, who is in love with Vijayan’s daughter, starts the fight between the Vijayan and Durai. Durai works hard to make a house for Mallika, and when the villagers suspect his good intentions, he proves to them that he has a sisterly affection towards her, as he has a soft corner for Vasantha. As the fight goes on for Durai and Vijayan, Vijayan destroys the house that Durai built for his friends. Of this anger, he tries to get revenge. How Durai wins over the villagers and fights against injustice against Vijayan and his son forms the rest of the story.
Vaitheeswaran 2008
When a young boy Saravanan is killed by rowdy — and aspiring politician — Dhanasekaran (Sayaji Shinde), his distraught mother (Vinaya Prasad) is ready to kill herself. She is stopped by Mani Shankar (Vijayakumar), who promises her that her son will be reincarnated and meet her 30 years hence. The only condition is that the mother must remain inside Vaitheeswaran temple, praying to be reunited with her son. 30 years later, her wait catches the attention of the public, who are curious to see if Saravanan shows up. Dr. Bala (Sarathkumar), who has no belief in reincarnation, wishes to treat her while Dhanasekharan, who is now a politician and eyeing the CM seat, knows that Saravanan’s arrival could derail his plans. Armed with a computer-generated photo of how Saravanan would look like now, Dhanasekharan and Bala go looking for him, when Bala realises that he is indeed the reincarnation of Saravanan. What happens next forms the climax of the story.

Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Raghavan loves Geetha (Kiran) who is the daughter of a rich man (Vijayan), but her father is against this love and insults him as a poor man. Raghavan challenges that he will be rich in a year. There is a subplot in the story, for Meenakshi (Sharmili), a daughter from a rich family; she is the apple of the eye of the family. Meenakshi ran home with her lover Raju, who worked as a driver to her house. He tells that his friend Dinesh will help them. However, Raju escaped because he saw a bad dream where he is killed by her family as if it will happen in reality. Due to that he vanishes. Raghavan understood her plight and helps her.
Jaggubhai 2010
Jagannathan (Sarath Kumar), fondly known as Jaggubhai, is a tough, upright, straightforward Indian police officer with sharp methods. His way of dealing with the criminals strikes terror in the underground world. Jaggubhai is sent to Australia on an important mission to deal with antisocial elements there. In Australia, he meets Ilavarasi (Srisha), and they fall in love with each other. Jaggubhai fails in his mission for which he came to Australia, and the brief romance with Ilavarasi ends abruptly. Jaggubhai returns to India as a dejected officer, failing in his official duty and personal life. Fate had something in store for him. 20 years later, or as he says it 21 years later, he gets a call from Australia stating Ilavarasi is dead and has left him a will. He reaches Australia and is shocked to know the brief encounter with Ilavarasi had resulted in a daughter Monisha (Shriya Saran), now a teenager.

He decides to contest the elections and help the villagers but faces severe oppressions from his brothers-in-law. In a turn of events, his father is killed and the youth leader is blamed for his murder.
Kattabomman 1993
The village chairman Kalingarayan (Sakthivel) and his son Rajappa (Uday Prakash) spread terror among the villagers. Whereas Kattabomman (Sarath Kumar) is an angry man who cannot tolerate injustice. He was brought up by his grandfather (Nagesh) and his widowed mother. His family and Kalingarayan’s family are in a feud for several years. Kattabomman falls in love with Kalingarayan’s daughter Priya (Vineetha) and he gets married to her without their family’s wishes. In angry, his grandfather tells their past. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Karunamurthy (Kitty), an honest Home Minister is forced to help terrorists kill the current Governor to save his daughter Priya (Lisa Ray). Nethaji (Sarath Kumar), an upright journalist, runs a newspaper called ‘India’. He falls in love with Priya. Baba (Babu Antony) is a terrorist who smuggles arms with his right-hand Dharma (Vimalraj). Nethaji saves the scientist Shivashankari (Manimala) from terrorists, and Charan (Charan Raj), a police officer, congrats him and arrests Baba. Dharma hurts Nethaji’s sister and Ammu, and later kidnaps the latter. Dharma threatens Nethaji to kill Ammu, and Nethaji is forced to kidnap Shivashankari. Nethaji kidnaps her and saves his niece, and later, Charan arrests him. The rest of story is how he will be able to prove himself innocent and punish the terrorists.

Surya (Ramesh), an introvert by nature loves his classmate Priya (Pooja) from childhood but has never expressed his feelings towards her. Meanwhile, Surya’s another classmate Ajay also tries to woo Priya in which he succeeds to an extent. Priya does not like Surya as she views him as a nerd. One day, Surya gets frustrated as he is not being liked by anyone and cries loudly in a beach where he finds a small idol of a God. He holds the idol saying that it is better to be invisible in this world rather than being disliked by everyone.

His neighbour Priya (Tisca Chopra) falls in love with him. One day, the terrorists kidnap Anu and they kill her thereafter. In the past, Diwakar promised Anu to get married to Priya. To fulfil his sister’s wish, Diwakar eventually gets married to Priya. But Diwakar cannot live happily as long as he will not eliminate the terrorists.

Captain Prabhakaran 2011
Captain Prabhakaran (Vijayakanth) is an IFS officer (Indian Forest Service) sent to Sathyamangalam to nab Veerabhadran (Mansoor Ali Khan) who tortures the people of that place. Prabhakaran is not only going to nab Veerabhadran, but also avenge the death of his friend Rajaraman IFS (R. Sarathkumar) who was a forest officer killed by Veerabhadran. The police commissioner and the district collector are corrupt and also support Veerabhadran. In the climax, Veerabhadran kidnaps Prabhakaran’s wife and son. Prabhakaran arrives at the right time and saves his wife and son. He then nabs Veerabhadran. Poongudi (Ramya Krishnan) was Rajaraman’s lover. She dies while giving birth to his child. Veerabhadran is shot dead by the corrupt inspector and collector. Prabhakaran kills both of them. He is then dragged to court for killing the police inspector and the collector. Prabhakaran tells the truth that they were corrupt, and the film ends with Prabhakaran being released from the court.

Selvarasu (Sarath Kumar) is the head of his family, and his two brothers Thangarasu (Murali) and Chinnarasu (Manoj Bharathiraja) are ready to give up their lives for him. The three brothers think the world of their sister Rasamani (Kaveri). A rich man (Pyramid Natarajan) from the neighboring village feels insulted when Thangarasu mishandles his son, and to take revenge, he makes Rasamani his daughter-in-law. Starting with taking away all the brothers’ wealth, he insults them at every opportunity while ill-treating Rasamani. At last in the climax, Rasamani’s husband and father-in-law reform and accept her and her brothers.
Ayya 2005
The movie starts in 1970s, where there is heavy drought in southern districts of Tamil Nadu. Ayyadurai (Sarath Kumar) and Maadasaamy (Napoleon) are close friends and landlords of different castes in Tenkasi town in Tirunelveli district, and they try hard to help people and save them from dying during the drought. Local MLA (OAK Sundar), also a relative of Madasami, smuggles rice given by the government and people protest, knowing about this. The MLA denies knowing anything about the sanctioned rice. That night, he starts to smuggle the rice, but the lorries are waylaid and ransacked by the people led by Madasamy. The MLA comes there and starts shooting towards people’s legs. Ayyadurai sees the MLA aiming for Madasamy’s head and pushes him. Then Ayyadurai beats the MLA using hilt of the gun, following which he dies. But the local people support Ayyadurai and save him from police and also urge him to contest in the assembly by-elections.
Aravindhan 1997
Aravindhan (Sarath Kumar) is the police high post by exam clearing. But after he sees his friend Thamizhvannan (Parthiban) (shown as a Naxalite) die by police shooting, Aravindhan starts a fight against police and corrupt politicians. Aravindhan gets supported by the people for his strict fight against corruption. Anu (Nagma) loves Aravindhan, but her father does not accept the relation. The police wants to put Aravindhan in jail for the politicians, so Aravindhan goes into hiding. On the way, he hides in Gayathri (Oorvasi) home. The police tries to catch Aravindhan but at the same time, thinks Gayathri tried to give shelter to Aravindhan, so Gayathri’s father dies. Now Aravindhan understands that he has to save Gayathri, so he takes her with him to a factory area to stay. Aravindhan works in the factory and life goes along smooth for him as he marries Gayathri and has a child. Once in factory, the manager does not give fair price to the workers, which Aravindhan protests, so he beats the manager very poorly. The factory people now identifies Aravindhan’s true identity as a Naxalite. The police comes in search of Aravindhan, who finally surrenders in court. In jail, Aravindhan writes lot of anti-corruption articles. This gives Aravindhan wide public support to get elected as a minister. The corrupt politicians want to avoid this uprising and hire a gunman to shoot Aravindhan. During a stage speaking with lots of people around, the gunman shoots and kills Aravindhan, thus ending him from becoming minister.
Kanchana: Muni 2 2011
Raghava (Lawrence Raghavendra) is a typical jobless youth who spends his days playing cricket with friends. He suffers from an irrational fear of ghosts and retreats to the safety of his home after sunset. His fear is so great he prefers to sleep with his mother (Kovai Sarala) and have her accompany him to the bathroom at night. This creates a major annoyance in the household, including Raghava’s brother (Sriman), sister-in-law (Devadarshini), and their children.
One day, Raghava and his friends are forced to abandon their usual cricket ground and find a new one; they unwittingly select an abandoned ground which is rumored to be haunted. A bizarre weather change scares them away. Raghava brings home his cricket stumps, which have been stained with blood from a buried corpse in the ground.

The story is set around the bulwark of honest and public good institution of everest. A journalistic anachronism at a time when media houses have become mouthpieces for corporate houses. It is helmed by the fearless Ayya (Vijaykumar), it has among its ranks an intrepid scribe Dheeran (Sarath Kumar). He is no journeyman journalist. He is writer as well as a doer. When the power of the pen looks like slackening, he uses the hands that push the pen, so to say. And then there is harried colleague Erimalai (Vadivelu), who is just a step away from trouble. Meghala (Nayantra) is an enterprising intern who drives Dheeran distraction. Dheeran runs into the evil axis of politico and police web as represented by the corrupt Minister Shanmuga Sundaram (Mukesh Tiwari) and a venal cop Alanakaram (Seema Biswas). Dheeran through his mixed ways frustrate all the evil plans of the duo. But a new water bottling plant of an MNC becomes a major confrontation issue. Dheeran goes hammer and tongs against the project, as it would be harmful to villagers. Dheeran painstakingly exposes all the chinks in the project. Shanmugasundaram has to come with a violent reprisal and he sure does and thinks he has done away with Dheeran. Did he? But Dheeran comes back from dead as a new man with renewed force. In the two years, Shanmugha Sundaram and Alankaram had come a long way. But Dheeran, slowly but stealthily, exposes them with a cunning of a mountain fox. He exposes all their bad deeds with clinching evidence.

After losing his wife, Saroj, during childbirth, Erode, Chennai-based Inspector Mukesh Bhargav, brings up his daughter, Kirtika, on his own, rises up to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police, battles hoodlums, exposes inept and corrupt police officers, as well as investigates politicians, their nexus with senior civil servants, and the underworld, ignoring the fact that his and Kirtika’s days may already be numbered by his many enemies.
Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja 2009
The film starts in 1796, four years after the occupation of Malabar by the British East India Company and towards the end of the First Pazhassi Revolt (1793–1797). The revolt is led by Kerala Varma (Mammootty), the Raja of Pazassi Palace, of Kottayam house. The exploitation of the native Indian resources by the Company had culminated in popular revolts against its authority across the district. With the help of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja’s uncle Kurumbranadu ruler Veeravarma (Thilakan), who is jealous of Pazhassi Raja for his success and influence, and Raja’s old companion Pazhayamveedan Chandhu (Suman), the Company act against Pazhassi Raja. This forces Pazhassi Raja to escape to the forests of Wayanad. The tribal force led by Neeli captures Assistant Collector Thomas Hervey Baber (Harry Key) and his fiancée Dora (Linda Arsenio) in the jungle, in spite of his commander’s objection. The Raja treats Thomas Baber and Dora as his guest and releases them.
Maayi 2000
Maayi (Sarathkumar) is a well-respected, do-gooder in a village. He considers women in the village as his sisters and even helps financially to conduct their weddings. He is a man who is ready to kill his father Irulandi (Vijayakumar) when he learns that he had a second wife. But the father opts to kill himself rather than face his son and so, Maayi brings his stepsister Lakshmi (Suvalakshmi) to live with him. A local MLA (Rajan. P. Dev) comes to Maayi to get his support during the upcoming election, but he refuses and the MLA loses the election. But his son (Anand), who admires Maayi, marries Lakshmi.
