Rajan Zachariah, an Inspector of Police working in the Palakkad District on the Kerala-Karnataka border, investigates a murder case that is very important to him.

Siva (Nakul) is a nice guy who doesn’t believe in the concept of love. True to his hatred, he also doesn’t hesitate to go and break up love birds. Pooja (Poorna) on the other hand believes strongly in the force of love and does whatever she can to ensure that lovers get united. The story takes a turn when Siva’s sister falls in love with Pooja’s cousin. As expected, Siva tries to break the couple while Pooja unites them. Finally, Siva gives up and at the same time, he develops feelings for Pooja. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

The film opens with the ageing gangster, Singaperumal, forcing himself on a young girl, Subbu. He is unable to perform, and vents his anger by slapping the helpless Subbu. Singaperumal is the grand don of crime in Madras. His lieutenant, Pasupathi, brings a proposal. A large stash of cocaine, worth about ₹ 2 crore, has entered the city. The guy bringing the stash wants to sell it for ₹ 50 lakh. Pasupathi sees the immediate easy profit, as well as the long term benefit (to control the cocaine market with such a large supply) and the recognition that they are able to pull off such a deal. The drawback is that the stash really belongs to their arch-rival Gajendran. Singaperumal knows that Gajendran is a vicious and unpredictable adversary, and the venture is risky and likely to become messy. He decides to pass. Pasupathi dourly suggests Singaperumal is getting old and rusty. He asks Singaperumal to loan him the ₹ 50 lakh so he can do the job himself. Pasupathi is prepared to face the risks, and in return for the loan, he offers Singaperumal a cut of the profits. Singaperumal agrees to the loan, but, instead asks Pasupathi to first get the stash and then think of the profit distribution. The money for the loan is brought to Singaperumal.

The story focuses on the life of Sabhapathy (Nakul). He is the football-crazy son of an alcoholic and lives in the slums. However, he lives a comfortable life and plays football with his mates as he completes his college career. He meets Meera (Sunaina) and develops a liking for her. He slowly starts to love her but is afraid to express his love since she is rich and would react hastily. However, he later does confirm his love to her, and she accepts. When Sabha leaves for a football match with his college, he promises he will propose to her as soon as he gets back. Sabha returns from his match to only find out that Meera has died. He slips into a psychotic depression, travelling with Meera’s dead body. To make matters even worse, the police are after him. The film ends as he commits suicide after killing Meera’s uncle Kasirajan (Hariraj), who murdered her in order to gain her wealth.

A righteous man from humble origins finds himself embroiled in a high-profile murder case after falling for a politician’s daughter.

The story highlights the life of a couple, who adopt a girl child after she is orphaned by her biological parents. But the older brother of the child disapproves this idea, which in turn wrecks the marriage of this couple. What follows is an emotional confrontation between the two.

The film starts showing prince romantically watching chempakam bathing with her friends on a pond. Suddenly war comes where the prince gets defeated. Prince to escape from capture come to chempakam residing area. Chempakam who loves the prince tells the prince cannot be captured by anyone as long she is there because she has some special powers and then cuts her throat. From there the Chempakakotai area who ever enters will be killed by a supernatural power. The film scene shifts to Sathyajith with his wife and daughter enter their house. Satyajith (Jayaram) is a wealthy businessman who is haunted by some visions. On his psychiatrist’s advice, he meets a yogi (Om Puri). The yogi tells him that the property, Chempakakottai, which he bought 2 years ago, is the reason for his visions and that some spirits are waiting to take revenge against him by killing his family and friends. He also says that soil taken from four corners of the kottai should be brought to him. Satyajith sends his friend to take the soil. Although his friend who does not believe in ghosts manages to get the soil, he is brutally beaten up and put in the ICU. Satyajith takes the soil to the yogi who puts it with some statues and does some karmas in three bags. He tells Satyajith to take the two bags to a priest and a musalyar while the third one is left with him.Later, the yogi asks him to stay in the house before the next full moon, 13 days from then as the spirit gets full powers on that day. The yogi gives them a raksha to be buried in front of the house. Satyajith and his friends go there. Satyajith and his friends previously was involved in attracting pregnant ladies with advertising their babies will be skillful by birth like abhimanyu who learned tackling Padmavyuham from Lord Sreekrishna while in Subadras womb. Now after gathering lot of money they go stay in Chempakakotai. There one day Satyajith friends drink alcohol which Malli, the daughter of Mathangi objects but drinking is continued. For this the friends are tied onto a tree showing Mathangi power. Mathangi tells Satyajith nobody can take away their place and goes off to their house. Sathyajith shows himself getting attracted to Mathangi. One day aadhishwaran comes to take away the child to make Mathangi obey his wishes, but Sathyajith fights and drives them away. Day by day Sathyajith shows good toys to mallie who likes Satyajith very much. Satyajith tells that he is ready to marry Mathangi when on one day Mathangi tells not to cheat her child by showing love. Then marriage happens. In the Chempakakotai Mathangi waits for first night with Sathyajith, after sleeping mallie. But aadhishwaran comes telling there was a deal for which Sathyajith wants to take away the fort with aadhishwaran help in exchange for Mathangi. Aadhishwaran tries to sex but Mathangi runs away with Malli. Aadhishwaran searches for Mathangi but couldn’t find. Then Satyajith comes with his friends and locks the Chempakakotai doors and puts fire at Mathangi house. For this Sathyajith gets lot of money from minister. That night Sathyajith and his friends tries to celebrate with drinks but Sathyajith gets sad as he now feel he shouldn’t have cheated Mathangi. Next day Sathyajith ask aadhishwaran for Mathangi , who tells she ran away. Scene shifts to inside Chempakakotai where days have passed with Mathangi and Malli trapped inside without food and water. Malli falls down and start becoming weak and immobile. Now one day Sathyajith comes to Chempakakotai in search for Mathangi. Foul smell comes from the kotai. He breaks the door lock and go inside and finds Malli dead and darkened with Mathangi sitting close immobile. Sathyajith digs grave, while this time aadhishwaran comes and tells he will dig the grave as he only loved Mathangi but Sathyajith never loved Mathangi. Scene shifts now to Sathyajith residential house where his wife and daughter live. Meanwhile, the ghost kills one friend of Sathyajith by turning down the car with collision and explosion. Now Sathyajith and his family started live in Chempakakotai. His daughter starts get possessed by Malli who comes as a ghost. For this yogi tells only her mother Mathangi can calm Malli to prevent possessed. And that Mathangi is still alive. Sathyajith and his wife goes to aadhishwaran house for Mathangi. Here fight happen when aadhishwaran don’t want Mathangi to be taken away. Aadhishwaran tells Mathangi is tied because she is mad. Sathyajith accuses muthu for telling lies regarding Mathangi. Mathangi is shown tied like a mental but tells Satyajith that she acted mental and waited till this time of hope to meet Satyajith to ask why he cheated her and Malli. Mathangi finally agrees to come when Sathyajith wife tells her child is innocent for the cheating from Sathyajith. Now at Chempakakotai upon seeing Mathangi ,Malli tells she wants to revenge as she was cheated and died very badly .now a yaga with full swamy around start mantras. Mathangi takes the plate in which bone pieces of Malli is put,and puts it in fire. Mathangi dies there itself. Now Sathyajith is safe as his child now normal with his wife. Film end showing Mathangi and Malli spirit together ascend up to sky.

A doting brother gets his sister married into a nice family. A few months later, her husband sends her away. Disheartened, she comes to her brother who decides to restore peace in her married life.

Shanmugham (Jeevan) comes to Chennai with his mother in search of his father (Raj Kapoor). When they get to the place, they see him living with another wife. In a hussle, he kills this old wife and sends this boy outside to beg. He comes out with dead mother and an auto driver (Chandrasekar) helps with all he has to cremate the body and gives some money and asks him to go back to his own city. Shanmugham wanted to read and become a great man. But he gets caught with the corrupt police guys and was used for their jobs (which involved murder). So when he grows up, he becomes a big rowdy by the name of Thotta (bullet). The highly corrupt police officer DCP Murugavel (Sampath Kumar) also uses him for a lot of encounters for which he takes credit and gets promoted to commissioner level. In one incident where he is asked to put acid on a girl Nalina’s (Priyamani) face, he finds that girl to be the auto driver’s daughter itself in her house. He helps that family, which is in poverty, with lot of gifts and also loves her. Nalina’s aim is to become a police officer and she tells this to Shanmugham. As he has commissioner influence, he promises to get her the job. For this he kills a minister who is a big rival of the chief minister (Livingston) at the instance of Murugavel. But when Nalina goes to Murugavel for the job, the latter insists that she have sex with him. When Shanmugham finds out what happened, he and Murugavel part ways. Shanmugham has a friend Giri, who is also a rowdy, but gets him married to a nice girl Gauri (Mallika). She wants to separate him from this rowdy group and get settled, for which she tries not to send him for their encounters. After much thought, Shanmugham lets them go separately. But Murugavel kills Giri in an encounter. Prabhakar (Saranraj), a CBI officer, wants to get Shanmugham alive, whereas Murugavel wants him killed, otherwise he would be in deep trouble as he was the one who made Shanmugham a rowdy after all. Vasanthi (Bhavana) is the daughter of a man (Lal) who does a lot of help for the refugees. She instantly falls for Jeevan (Jiiva), a Tamil refugee staying in the camp in Rameswaram. Jeevan, nurturing a dream to go back to his homeland, keeps on discouraging the girl, who is stubborn in her love. Jeevan’s heart, influenced by the pure love of the girl, starts melting slowly. Enters Vasanthi’s cousin (Bose Venkat), who is full of dreams on marrying her. He joins as an inspector in the local police station. The whole family is eagerly awaiting their marriage. Problems arise when the family comes to know about the love. Vasanthi’s cousin and his uncle try to eliminate Jeevan. They keep on troubling him, without much success. Meanwhile, the refugees get a chance to go back, and Jeevan has to go with them. He promises Vasanthi that he would come back to marry her. The family is determined to stop him. Vasanthi decides to end her life if Jeevan does not turn up.

Vel (Karan), works as a ‘dawali’ in a court. He comes across various cases, where the rich and influential guilty men escape from the iron-hands of law through money, influence and power.
In disguise, Vel kills them sending a strong message to everyone who bends the rule of law. In the meantime, a futile attempt by Velu to murder Law Minister Ayyanarappan (Kota Sreenivasa Rao) forces cops to investigate the issue.
