Thomas Thanga Durai (Arvind Swamy), a polite, well mannered NRI businessman, returns to India from America to look after his father’s James Thanga Durai’s (S. P. Balasubrahmanyam) business. James is a former associate in Amal Raj’s business and now establishes his own business empire in the same vicinity, opposite Amal Raj’s factory. He boasts of his son’s achievements. However, Amal Raj dislikes James’ ill-mannered, clumsy and bizarre antics though Thomas and Priya have known each other in their childhood.

10-year-old Lakshmi lives and breathes ‘Dance’ and dreams of winning the ‘Pride of India Jr.’ title in the national level dance competition. However, her single mother Nandini detests music and dance. Soon, she forms an unlikely bond with the people in a cafe near her school. Though Lakshmi approaches it for the music played in the store, she soon becomes a regular. Vijay Krishna welcomes her when he becomes impressed by her moves, followed reluctantly by waiter Azhagu. Ganesh (Prabhu Deva) has the job of collecting travelers for the lone bus run by Padmavathi Bus Service, in Cuddalore town. His high-energy people-gathering tactics are considered the reason for the crowds on the bus and he earns commission for the same from the owner (Nasser) of the bus service. Though Ganesh earns quite enough, he doesn’t buy new clothes, things and eats very late and little. No one knows why he is saving so much money. The bus owner was, a young cleaner at Venkatesa bus service, but he fell in love with the owner’s daughter and eloped with her. Then after much hardships he becomes owner of 4 buses and very rich, in the same town, while his father in-law’s bus company failing. He and his family still maintain no contact with the mother’s family.

He starts to help Bhavani’s family and mortgages his own house to finance her factory with the intention of making it up to them as he still believes that it’s his father who killed Bhavani’s father. But Bhavani is now trying to take revenge for her father’s murder. SP’s mother is now on her deathbed. While in the hospital, his mom tells how his father had a different wife and he should ask them forgiveness. He storms into Bhavani’s house and accuses her uncle (who really killed Bhavni’s dad), also trying to make her understand the truth but she doesn’t believe him. Then Prabhakaran says he doesn’t love her any more and vows that he will never trust a woman by remaining a chronic bachelor forever.

Meanwhile, Sunitha goes back to her village for her sister’s child’s ear piercing ceremony. Her sister’s husband is money-minded and tries to get Sunitha married to a rich man in return for money.

The story opens in the British India reign, where a British man and porter are trying to catch a ferry. On the way, however, one of the suitcases being carried by the porter falls and opens, revealing many diamonds. The porter steals some of the diamonds and sends the gentleman on his way. He hides these diamonds in a trunk, which he buries near a temple in the Gulaebaghavali village. The story then shifts to 2018, where Badri (Prabhu Deva) and his boss Nambi (Mansoor Ali Khan) perform petty thefts. While at a pub, Badri spots Viji (Hansika Motwani) and falls for her. Soon, Badri unknowingly accepts to steal a priceless statue from the temple at Gulaebagavali and runs into Viji. The duo escapes from the villagers. With some help from Munish (Ramdoss) and Maasha (Revathi), they steal the trunk, which reveals a skeleton. After a lot of confusion, the trunk is delivered, where it is revealed that the diamonds are stored in the skeleton. The police comes to the spot and finds that the diamonds were very valuable. After they escape from the police, it is revealed that during the fight, a hand of the skeleton fell in Maasha’s car. On finding this out and how Maasha tried to deceive the other three, the trio chases her. A parallel storyline involves Mayilvaganam (Sathyan) and a don Annachi (Rajendran), which culminates in the climax.

During one of his attempts to steal in Gangadhar’s house, Alaudin witnesses a murder committed by Gangadhar and gets some implicating evidence: a blood-soaked knife and a cut right thumb of Gangadhar. He cleverly uses this situation and starts blackmailing Gangadhar to accomplish all of Alli Kuppam’s needs. Gangadhar becomes his golden goose, his magic lamp, which does his every proposition. Preethi (Ashima Bhalla) is Gangadhar’s manager’s daughter, and she falls for Alaudin. All efforts to catch Alaudin fail. In the final move, Gangadhar plans carefully, traps Alaudin, and shoots him at point blank range. A chance look at the chain worn by Alaudin brings the necessary twist to the story. To his shock, Gangadhar realizes Alaudin is his son who was mistaken to be murdered 25 years ago. The saved Alaudin refuses to accept his father’s request to stay back with him, and takes a promise that he should not reveal the secret to anyone, and that he wants to go back to the Kuppam.

After having a bitter disagreement with his friend and manager Jehangir Khan (Kay Kay Menon) about the latter’s blatant abuse of power and influence to win a dance competition called “Dance Dil Se” for his team JDC (Jehangir Dance Company), the choreographer of the dance company, Vishnu (Prabhu Deva), quits his job. At first he wants to return home to Chennai, but his friend Gopi (Ganesh Acharya) asks him to stay in Mumbai with him. Vishnu observes several young men using parkour to evade the police. They turn out to be proteges of Gopi, but despite their obvious raw talent, they lack the discipline required to become serious artists; they demonstrate this disastrously at a local event for a politician, wherein they set the stage on fire. After witnessing the youngsters showing their dancing abilities at Ganpati Chaturthi against their equally talented rival neighborhood, Vishnu decides to start his own dance group with them ultimately preparing them to compete in “Dance Dil Se”. However, the lack of discipline among the dancers and rivalry between the two factions in the group led by D (Dharmesh Yelande) and Rocky (Salman Yusuff Khan) leads to multiple creative and emotional blocks. Initially, only Rocky and his gang are willing to attend the free classes, but soon D and his friends gravitate towards the studio.

The movie starts projecting Prabhu (Prabhu Deva) as a Shop Keeper who sells toys to kids. He will be wearing a Mask which is similar to his face and he will be wearing that mask on the backside of his head so that he looks like a “Kilpauk Korangu” and does all possible Crazy actions in the world which really irritates everyone. He has all bad habits like Drinking and smoking . He gets married to Meena (Meena) who wants her husband to be like Sree Ram. Prabhu Deva Acts as if he is a nice guy and also gets caught few times when he tries to overact.

When Ramakrishnan is caught with a prostitute, he introduces her to his wife as Thiru’s girlfriend. Thiru, feeling helpless, goes along with the plan at the cost of upsetting his own girlfriend, Susi.

Mridula and Arun are a young couple, who meet accidentally, and fall in love with each other. Both come from wealthy families, and are reluctant to get married unless they find out if they are suitable for each other on a long-term basis. So they decide to live together for one year. During this process, Arun tragically passes away, leaving Mridula devastated. Time goes by and Mridula is unable to get Arun out of her mind, and keeps on seeing him everywhere. Her family feel that if she re-locates abroad, meets new people, which may assist her to heal. So she re-located to Britain. Once there, she meets with a young man, Manu, who is attentive and attracted to her. Mridula appears to be recovering, and informs her parents as such, and even agrees to marry Mano. Then the next day, her parents are shocked to see that Mridula has changed her mind about marrying Mano, and runs away from home. When she returns home, they find that she has relapsed and has begun to see Arun all over again.

Janaki’s dad, worried that his grandson might be brought up poorly, arrives at a mansion that has been set up to look like Sundaralingam’s new property, along with her mom Parbathy (Srividya). Meanwhile, Sundari’s dad Balamurugan (Moulee) also makes an unexpected stop there to check on his daughter.

When the principal asks him to invite the Governor of the state, Ranjit Singh Rathore, to be the chief guest at the annual day function Prabhu meet up with Ranjit Singh’s daughter, Shruti who happen to be the girl of his dreams. In order to captivate her attention Prabhu join Shruti’s dancing class and is able to impress her thus both fall in love; due to fear of terrorism in the region Shruti is not allow to move without bodyguard. She decides to break this rule in order to run away with Prabhu to a dance festival in Chidambaram only to find life threaten by a bomb that is implanted in that region at that time. But she manages to elude this only to return home whereby her father objects to her relationship with Prabhu and on his behest Prabhu is arrested by the police and accused of planting the bomb in Chidambaram, torture and then later on release. Unknown to the general public Ranjit is involved with a dangerous bomb expert who is responsible for many bomb blasts in the region and Prabhu’s life is under his threat as he has certain evidences that can incarcerate the duo.

Thomas, happens to meet Priya at her school when he goes to a woman’s hostel to see his aunt, Mother Superior (Arundhati Nag) a nun in that school church. Thomas takes Priya’s help in surprising his aunt with a gift on her birthday. In the process, Thomas falls in love with Priya but is unable to confess his love for her. Priya has been brought up in a convent school and wants to become a nun, much to the horror of Thomas and Priyas father. Meanwhile, Amal Raj tries to pull Priya into wedlock through setting up match making with some suitors like Jaipal (Prakash Raj), David (Ranvir Shah) etc., but he fails to fix an alliance for his daughter. In the midst of this, Thomas’s friend Shiva takes him to hairstylist Deva (Prabhu Deva) who is notorious at changing women’s minds. Deva befriends Priya to change her mind about being a nun.
At one instance, Priya performs singing at a Gala along with Deva’s troupe, which puts the troupe into the limelight of a recording theatre owner. Deva requests Priya to join his aspiring music troop as a singer and help them achieve the group’s aspiration for a film audition and Priya agrees to it. Deva with his musical troupe (Nassar and his group) play tricks to make Priya fall in love with Thomas, but fails to turn Priya’s mind towards Thomas. Instead, Deva himself falls in love with Priya and she reciprocates.
Complications arise when Priya falls in love with Deva instead, and at the same juncture, Thomas confesses his love to Priya and reveals the shocking truth behind Deva’s association with Priya. Torn between the two men, a broken-hearted Priya decides to vow for Nun trainee and fails to fulfill her promise for the group’s music audition. Thomas realises this at the end and sacrifices his love. Thomas and his Aunt convince Priya out of celibacy and marry Deva. Thomas becomes a priest as he naturally leads a life of service to the poor, sacrifice and mental chastity.At the climax, it is shown Deva and Priya get their daughter baptised by Thomas.This is the plot of the story.

In Ooty, Krishnamoorthy alias Kicha (Arjun) and Mani (Goundamani) perform a swashbuckling heist of money of several crores while being in disguise diverting the attention of police, and escape in Nilgiri Mountain Railway, much to the frustration of a chasing police officer Ratnam (Ajay Rathnam). Kicha is a respected citizen who runs a home-based pappadam business along with Mani in Chennai. Susheela (Madhoo), one of Kicha’s many female employees, has a crush on him and is constantly demanding his attention. Another thing adding to her woes is the arrival of her jovial cousin Sugandhi (Subhashri). She makes the place so lively and playful with silly fights between Mani and Babloo (Senthil). Sugandhi later develops a crush on Kicha, especially after being saved by him from some molesting goons.
