Thenkasi Pattanam 2002
Kannan and Dass are two famous rowdies in their village. Dass has a sister called Uma with whom Manikkampillai (shortened as ‘Mapillai’) is in love but she is not interested in him. Mapillai joins Kannan’s and Dass’ firm KD & Company as the manager, in an attempt to win the love of their sister. KD & Company once keeps as hostage a music troupe who comes to their village to perform. The main singer of that troupe, Sangeetha gets expelled from her home because of this and so Kannan and Dass gives her refuge upon insistence from Uma. Meenakshi is the childhood friend of Kannan with whose father, both Kannan and Dass has enmity.

The story begins with a group of government officers coming to list the number of devastated houses. The officers promised them to give a big amount to build their house but in exchange for a little amount to register their name. So the illiterate villagers, who wants to make easy money, demolish their house. The officers turn out to be frauds. The village panchayat president (Vinu Chakravarthy) knows that the villagers will not interfere in his decision until they are uneducated. Sivaraman (Sivakumar), a new school teacher, tries to change their custom and the children are happy to learn at school. Soon, Sivaraman has trouble with the village head.
Ettupatti Rasa 1997
Singarasu (Napoleon), a brave and influential man, protects the eight villages living next to the canal. Palaniyamma (Urvashi) is crazy about Singarasu, but Singarasu prefers her soft and sensitive sister Pandiyamma (Kushboo). Singarasu finally gets married with Pandiyamma.
Marimuthu’s (Manivannan) brother (Sukanraj) and Ponrasu’s (Ponvannan) daughter (Abitha) are in love. Ponrasu, the village chief, refuses for the wedding, so Singarasu decides to accommodate the lovers in his house and promises to unite them, but later the young lovers commit suicide. So Marimuthu and Ponrasu decide to take revenge on Singarasu. Singarasu, busy in his duty, neglects his wife and is unable to understand her feelings. One day, Marimuthu tells lies about Singarasu to Pandiyamma, and she commits suicide. All the villagers think Singarasu is the killer. Palaniyamma decides to live with Singarasu and he develops a soft corner for her. When Singarasu decides to marry Palaniyamma, a woman explains to him what happened before his late wife’s suicide. Pandiyamma was in fact killed by Ponrasu and Marimuthu. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.

Gokulan sees an attractive girl in his dream and is determined to find her. However, his father gets him engaged to another girl. Complications arise when he meets the woman of his dream soon after.
Kalamellam Kathiruppen 1997
Kannan (Vijay) is the only son of Jaisankar and Sri Vidya. He’s very rich and spends a lot of money every day. Kannan is in charge of arranging the college cultural function. He happens to hear Manimekalai (Dimple) sing in a temple, and he asks her to sing in the college function, by laying roads for her entire area, repairing all plumbing problems. But she refuses. All of Kannan’s attempts to make her sing fail. In that process Kannan falls in love with her; Manimekalai hates him. She gets him arrested for eve teasing and, triggered by that, Kannan tries to marry Manimekalai by force. That fails miserably. Then Kannan’s mother reveals that he is not their biological son, but an adopted orphan. Then his mother dies suddenly. His father also becomes paralysed. Kannan has a change of heart and serves his immobile father.
Gopala Gopala 1996
Gopalakrishnan (Pandiarajan), a clever cook from Coimbatore, moves to an apartment in Chennai. He becomes quickly popular and appreciated among the apartment’s women, however, their husbands get jealous of Gopalakrishnan. Meanwhile, he falls in love with Usha (Kushboo). He decides to marry her with the support of his neighbours. After the marriage, Usha has just learned that Gopalakrishnan was already married. Gopalakrishnan got married with a girl (Sindhu) but she was already pregnant and she eloped with her lover that very evening. Usha is upset and refuses to live with him. Later, Gopalakrishnan finds a forsaken baby (by his ex-wife) in a dustbin and leaves the baby to an orphanage. Gopalakrishnan’s father (Manivannan), an army officer, comes to live with his son and he helps his son to win back Usha’s heart.
Senthoora Poove 1988
The story is about how a young girl is ill-treated by her stepmother and how her brother’s friend saves her and her husband. The movie enjoyed a run of over 200 days at the box office. It was one of the highest grossing Tamil films of the year 1988. The film had musical score by Manoj – Gyan and was released on 23 September 1988. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Sindhoora Puvvu.
Naalai Namathe 2009
Nalai Namathe is about the man who struggles to raise the standards of the society he lives in. The film is based on the concept that government should make Rs. 500 crores the maximum limit for property that could be owned by anyone and should confiscate any excess, to be distributed to the poor and needy.
