Sabapathy (Sathyaraj) is a widower who owns a cinema theater and school. He treats his son Sakthi (Sibiraj) like his friend. At college, Sakthi falls in love with Shalini (Gajala), the daughter of a corrupt politician Lingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao). Afterwards, Lingam’s son Vijay (Ramana) clashes against Sakthi at the college election. Despite having support from his father, Vijay loses the election. Lingam then enters into the conflict. In the end, Sakthi kills Lingam and Vijay.

Guru (Madhavan) wants to be an MD for a company under his boss Krishna (Abbas). Krishna is a successful entrepreneur married to Sheila (Brinda Parekh), but his major problem is his playboy nature. Guru hopes that Krishna will make him an MD, so he tries to do everything to please him. Krishna falls for a model Seema (Mamta Mohandas), whom Guru also fancies. Coming to know that his boss is interested, he decides to give up on his feelings for her so as to achieve his career goals. Krishna asks Guru to help him woo Seema, and Guru follows his every order. After a sequence of events, he realizes that he cannot forget his feelings for Seema. He soon starts to purposefully sabotage Krishna’s attempts of becoming closer to Seema. Whether Seema feels the same way about Guru or Krishna wins her heart forms the rest of the story.

Annamalai’s photograph appears in a newspaper along with an interview of Maria (Rachana Maurya), who claims herself to be a saint propounding a new faith. She describes him as her God, Vaali. A mafia-turned-spiritualist she attributes her transformation to him in the interview. This prompts three women to come calling Maria all the way.
The three women were cheated by him recently and they probe Maria of Annamalai’s whereabouts. The three women, Sakhi (Sruthi Prakash), Nisha (Swetha Menon) and an actress Deepa (Lakshmi Rai) try to prove Maria that he was a cheat. However she doesn’t believe them.

Vijay (Arjun Sarja), a carefree and frolicsome youth, is sent by his father Deenadayalan (Ravichandran) in Ooty to work and becoming a responsible businessman. There, he falls in love with the college student Anjali (Vineetha). Her brothers (Mohan Raj and Vimalraj) are dangerous criminals and they are against their love because Vijay’s father is a police officer. Thereafter, Devaraj is sent to jail so his brother appoints the lawyer Karnaa (Arjun Sarja) who is disabled and a sensitive person. Later, Karnaa falls in love with the school teacher Amudha (Ranjitha), after few quarrels between both. One day, Deenadayalan saw Karnaa at the court who looks like his son Vijay. In the past, he had twin boys, but abandoned one of the twin baby because he was disabled. Karnaa is upset when he knew the truth and is now determined to win the case in front of his father. He finally wins the case and Devaraj is released immediately.

R. Parthiban plays a die hard fan of Rambha and a self-interest governed taxi driver whose name is never revealed throughout the movie. Meena plays Mahalakshimi, the daughter of a “zamindar” who has lost all his money due to financial troubles; his death leaves Mahalakshimi with a lot of debts (over two lakhs worth). Parthipan is the taxi driver that drives Meena’s dead father’s corpse back to her hometown. There, the people that Mahalakshimi is now indebted to by Anand Raj who torture Mahalakshimi with cruel words for being unable to pay the debt. Later Parthiban helps her out by giving his taxi in replace to Meena’s debt to save her at the point of time. But the twist in the movie is that Parthiban irritates Meena, though unwillingly, to get back his taxi as soon as possible. In the later part Meena will fall in love with Parthiban for his continuous help and support towards Meena. At that time Parthiban’s dream girl Actress Rambha comes for shooting in that palace, which makes Meena very angry and jealous as all his attention has been diverted to Rambha. At the end of shooting, Rambha tries to talk Parthiban and Meena and makes them realise their love for each other. But Meena never sees any sign of Parthiban loving her and thus accepts to marry the villain (Anand Raj’s) son to get back Parthiban’s taxi and settle her debt. Eventually, Parthiban realises his love for Meena and tries to stop the wedding as the groom is also a bad guy who cheated Manorama’s daughter. Finally the movie ends on a happy note with Meena getting back all her money and property and leading a happy life with Parthiban.

Shanmugham (Jeevan) comes to Chennai with his mother in search of his father (Raj Kapoor). When they get to the place, they see him living with another wife. In a hussle, he kills this old wife and sends this boy outside to beg. He comes out with dead mother and an auto driver (Chandrasekar) helps with all he has to cremate the body and gives some money and asks him to go back to his own city. Shanmugham wanted to read and become a great man. But he gets caught with the corrupt police guys and was used for their jobs (which involved murder). So when he grows up, he becomes a big rowdy by the name of Thotta (bullet). The highly corrupt police officer DCP Murugavel (Sampath Kumar) also uses him for a lot of encounters for which he takes credit and gets promoted to commissioner level. In one incident where he is asked to put acid on a girl Nalina’s (Priyamani) face, he finds that girl to be the auto driver’s daughter itself in her house. He helps that family, which is in poverty, with lot of gifts and also loves her. Nalina’s aim is to become a police officer and she tells this to Shanmugham. As he has commissioner influence, he promises to get her the job. For this he kills a minister who is a big rival of the chief minister (Livingston) at the instance of Murugavel. But when Nalina goes to Murugavel for the job, the latter insists that she have sex with him. When Shanmugham finds out what happened, he and Murugavel part ways. Shanmugham has a friend Giri, who is also a rowdy, but gets him married to a nice girl Gauri (Mallika). She wants to separate him from this rowdy group and get settled, for which she tries not to send him for their encounters. After much thought, Shanmugham lets them go separately. But Murugavel kills Giri in an encounter. Prabhakar (Saranraj), a CBI officer, wants to get Shanmugham alive, whereas Murugavel wants him killed, otherwise he would be in deep trouble as he was the one who made Shanmugham a rowdy after all. Five college friends reunite after many years to help Devi, one of their friends who has woken up from a coma, get back with her lover, Babu.

An ex-policeman is hired as a bodyguard for a girl child after a series of kidnappings in the city. However, he is in for a rude shock when the girl gets kidnapped and killed.

Amravathi is a naive girl who runs away from home. She finds shelter in a kind-hearted man’s house where she is well taken care of. Her life takes a turn when Arjun falls in love with her.

Muthu (Karthik) is the favourite employee at Rojavanam, a home for the aged owned jointly by two friends (Ravikumar and “Nizhalgal” Ravi). Sindhu (Malavika) is a psychology student staying at the home. Muthu falls in love with Roja (Laila), the daughter of his boss but learns that the boss and his friend, had decided long ago that their children would be married and this has resulted in the friend’s son growing up enamoured of Roja. Roja’s father accepts Muthu as his son-in-law but his friend, angered at this, decides to bulldoze Rojavanam to the ground. But Rojavanam saved by muthu with marrying Roja and Siva. At the climax, Muthu gets married to Sindhu. After a few years, Muthu, now old, is seen asking a few advocates to fight for Rojavanam.

A man is arrested and appears in court for conning and betraying four women, posing as four different men.
