Santhanakrishnan, a failed writer, marries Mary who inspires him to write from real-life experiences. He sets out to write about Yuvan who loves Mary without knowing that she is already married.

Kubera Rasi revolves around a bank robbery where Abhirami plays the role of a bank employee, while Roshan Basheer play Murugans who comes from Kumbakonam to the city in search of a job. They get caught in a predicament and how they comes out of it forms the crux of the plot.
