Puthiya Vaarpugal 1979
Shanmugakani (K. Bhagyaraj) arrives in the village of Thaayamangalam as the new school teacher and soon falls in love with a local damsel Jothi (Rati Agnihotri). The village head called as “Periyavar” (played by G.Srinivasan) is a lecherous and sinister man who has a lustful eye on Jothi. Amavasai (Goundamani) is Periyavar’s stooge who also has a long-standing desire to marry Jothi. Periyavar frames Shanmugakani for the rape and murder of a woman social activist and gets him evicted from the village and gets Jothi married by deceit to Amavasai. He asks Amavasai and Jothi to stay with him in order to satiate his lust with Jothi. What happens afterwards forms the rest of the story.
Kadhal Sugamanathu 2001
A young woman (Sneha) who’s always hidden her ardor for her handsome neighbor (Tarun) decides to take a risk by enlisting her devious sister’s matchmaking help. But the plan backfires when she’s betrayed by her jealous sibling, who proclaims her own feelings for the young man. Devastated, the girl abandons her quest for romance, but all may not be lost when the object of her affection happens upon her diary that reveals her love for him.

Satya (Silambarasan) is the son of a police constable. He gets into fights and ends up in jail where his own father gets him out on bail. While he is returning home from a party drunk, a group of college students beat him up. That is when Suchitra (Rakshitha) comes and takes him to the hospital and gives blood. She is the daughter of a police commissioner. Later, Satya falls in love with Suchitra. That leads to several problems which are faced bravely by Satya in the later part of the film. Finally, all goes well, and Satya also receives the letter confirming his selection for IPS.
Eththan 2011
Sathyamurthy (Vimal) is the son of a schoolteacher DK (Jayaprakash) in Kumbakonam. Sathya is a happy-go-lucky youngster who yearns to do business. To achieve his ‘mission’, he borrows money from all quarters and is almost drowned in debts. Even as his father advises him to start leading life in a right manner, enters Selvi (Sanusha), a student. Sathya gets acquainted to Selvi, and his life takes a turn. Meanwhile, Selvi is in trouble because her uncle Pandiyan (Sarvajit), a rowdy, wants her to marry him. This proposal was ignored by Selvi, and she hated Pandiyan because he killed her father (Santhana Bharathi). One day while goofing around with Sathya, Selvi loses the necklace Pandiyan had given her. Sathya and Selvi escape to Chennai, but Pandiyan and a corrupt inspector come and trouble them. Sathya switches on the police’s cordless phone, through which an Assistant Commissioner of Police (Sampath Raj) comes to know about Pandiyan and arrests him. The film ends with Sathya opening a cable TV station and becoming successful.
Star 2001
Murthy (Prashanth) earns his living taking the blame for the mistakes of other people, and so the jail is his second home. Dhanushkodi (Raghuvaran) has sworn to kill ex-collector Ramanathan’s (Vijayakumar) son Santhosh (Praveen Gandhi), and so, Ramanathan has transferred Santhosh to Mauritius while telling the world he has run away. Wishing to save his son, he hires Murthy to act as him, hoping Dhanushkodi would kill him instead of his actual son. Murthy too accepts the gig since his lover Preeti (Jyotika) is Ramanathan’s niece. In the climax, Santhosh supports Dhanushkodi for killing his father, but Dhanushkodi kills Santhosh. The film ends with Murthy taking the blame for killing Santhosh and surrendering himself to police.
