Honest Raj 1994
‘Honest’ Raj (Vijayakanth), a police officer in coma for four years, wakes up suddenly. Abhinaya (Gouthami), a newly appointed doctor, saves him from a killer with the help of Raj’s assistant Velu (Senthil).
In the past, Raj lived with his mother Maragatham (Manorama) and took the IPS exam. They shifted to their relative’s house in a village. Pushpa (Aamani), a village girl, fell in love with Raj. Raj’s best friend Bharatha (Devan) attempted to suicide after his father’s creditors pressured him. Raj saved him, and Bharatha lent his printing press company to Pazhani. Raj and Pushpa got married, and he passed the IPS exam successfully. Bharatha found counterfeit money in his factory and started an illegal business with Pazhani. Bharatha then became rich and killed his partners.
Ethirum Puthirum 1999
Kannan (Mammootty) is a sincere district collector. A female leader of a major political party is kidnapped by terrorist Veeraiyan (Nassar), and he promises to return her back if his injured brother Arasappan (Napoleon) is treated well and brought back safely. The government agrees to this condition and asks Kannan to look after Arasappan. At first, Arasappan hates Kannan and his family as Kannan works for the government against whom his brother’s group is rebelling, but the kindness shown by Kannan’s wife and mother change his attitude. Just when he was about to turn over a new leaf, a bad thing occurs. The police team, without taking the necessary orders from Kannan, go to the forest and attack Veeraiyan’s gathering. This angers Arasappan, but he was restrained by Kannan. the police accuses Kannan of having links with the terrorists as Arasappan ran away from his house and Kannan condemned the police action; hence, they arrest Kannan’s wife and mother (Kannan ran away to find Arasappan). Hearing this sad news, Arasappan surrenders to the police as he did not want them to suffer for him, but the police do not spare him despite his surrender.

Vasudevan aka Vasu (Vishal) is a Coimbatore-based moneylender and also the heir to the Kovai Group, a cloth manufacturing conglomerate, until he was disowned by his mother and matriarch of his joint family Rajalakshmi (Raadhika) due to some misunderstanding. He meets a rich girl Divya (Shruthi Haasan) at a mall, who soon falls in love with him for his good nature. One day, Vasu saves the Additional Superintendent of Police for Coimbatore District Sivakkozhundhu (Sathyaraj) and his wife (Aishwarya) from a group of thugs who work for Anna Thandavam (Mukesh Tiwari), a Pollachi-based businessman and contract killer who kills anyone to acquire their land and money. As Sivakkozhundhu was transferred to Coimbatore district to capture Anna Thandavam, the latter had planned to kill him. Anna Thandavam also plans to illegally grab land sold to a village temple by Vasu’s late father. These two incidents cause enmity between Vasu and Anna Thandavam.
D-Day 2013
Agent Wali Khan (Irrfan Khan), appointed by the Chief of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Ashwini Rao (Nassar), has been on a mission for nine years to keep an eye out for the activities of India’s most wanted D-Company leader, Goldman (Rishi Kapoor) while working as a local barber as a cover. One day he notices Goldman talking about his son’s wedding cards to people in the mosque where he prays and comes to know that his son is getting married and Goldman is breaking his security protocol to attend that. The same is confirmed by an ISI operative who works part-time as Goldman’s bodyguard and is a neighbor and friend of Wali though he doesn’t know the truth about Wali’s connections to Indian Intelligence. Sensing a chance to nab Goldman alive, he informs Ashwini about the same who assembles a team quickly – Ex-Indian Army officer and mercenary, Rudra Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal), RAW’s explosives expert, Zoya Rehman (Huma Qureshi), and Aslam, a Mumbai thief and a murderer who was given a chance at freedom by participating in this mission.
Insan 2005
Inspector Ajit Rathod (Ajay Devgn) is on a mission to eliminate a notorious terrorist Azhar Khan (Rahul Dev) who killed his wife (Koena Mitra) and the latter is underground from the eyes of law and planning to destroy Mumbai. Now the story moves on to Amjad (Akshay Kumar), an auto rickshaw driver, who is searching his long lost brother Munna, and struggler Avinash (Tusshar Kapoor) who wants to be a star in Bollywood industry. Amjad wants to marry his lover Heena (Esha Deol). But her parents want her to marry a rich man. So Amjad plans to win her parents’ trust by a fake drama with Avinash and his friend to act as fake goons and they involve Rathod to arrest and win Heena’s heart. The plan goes wrong as real goons appear but Amjad fights them leading t Heena’s parents agreeing to marry her to Amjad. Avinash, who is a struggler, on the other hand, loses his job as an extra in films after an argument with an egoistic actor. A newcomer Indu (Laila Mehdin) is helped by Avinash to enter the industry and soon both fall in love with each other not knowing that she had been subjected to a compromise with the producer. Hopeless, Avinash decides to be an auto-rickshaw driver but Indu apologises and encourages Avinash to be a good actor. Soon, Avinash and Indu’s luck turns when the filmmaker (Asrani) casts them as leads in his next film after being impressed on their acting skills. Meghna, a news reporter (Lara Dutta) develops a liking towards Rathod, but the latter is still traumatised and angered on his wife’s death.
Company 2002
Chandrakant ‘Chandu’ Nagre joins the world of crime in the Mumbai underworld. Gradually he learns the tricks of the trade and increases the gang’s earnings and profits. This leads to his affinity with Malik, the leader of the gang. Later, Malik and Chandu kill Saeed and his brother Anis in the rear seat of the car on a chilling rainy day. Thereafter Malik goes on a bloody rampage killing all his opponents to take the reins of underworld in his hands. His rival gang leader and colleague under Aslam’s umbrella Sharma, who was in a meeting with police inspector Rathod, is killed off. Inspector Rathod, who once tortured and abused Chandu in jail in early days, is killed at Malik’s permission. However both come at loggerheads during the execution of a contract killing. Chandu stops the deliberate vehicle crash and falls from Malik’s favor.
Thiruvannamalai 2008
Easwaran (Arjun Sarja) is an upright, honest youth who runs a local cable channel in Kumbakonam. He is known to fight for causes of the society and the common man. He enters into fisticuffs with local MLA Poongundran (Sai Kumar) after he exposes his corrupt and greedy ways through his cable TV channel. Fearing trouble, his mother takes him to a saint in Thiruvannamalai. The Swami resembles Easwaran. A sequence of events forces them to swap places. The soft-spoken Swami tries to sort all issues through non-violent means (Gandhian philosophy). Halfway through, Duraisingam (Karunas) dies in the hands of Poongundran and his henchman (Vidharth). In the climax, Easwaran kills Poongundran.
