Pugazh, a police officer, wants to avenge the death of his father. He kills the four notorious criminals who were responsible for this heinous crime.

Latchiyam in this movie Ganesh (Prabhudeva) is a fantastic dancer. At the finals of a dance competition, he defeats Anthony and is selected to go to the international level. Anthony, who is a goonda in addition to being a good dancer, gets Ganesh beaten up. Ganesh is depressed and wants to give up everything. He is consoled by his sister Priya, played by Kamalinee. The he decides to pass on his dancing talent to a suitable heir.
This heir is identified as Raghava. Raghava (Lawrence) works at a dance school in Pudhucherry with four friends. Murugappa ‘Munaruna’ (Dhanush) is a Tamil worker in 1960s Burma. His friend Saamuda falls in love with Mallika, but Mallika loves Munaruna. Munaruna saves Samudra (Amyra Dastur), the daughter of a Burmese army general, from a Ferris wheel accident and they fall in love. When Mallika learns about this, she is devastated and marries Saamuda. The Burmese general disapproves of the union between Munaruna and Samudra, and revokes the privileges that the Tamil immigrants had until then. Violence breaks out and the Tamil nationals flee Burma. Munaruna and Samudra join the refugees on a ship with Saamuda and Mallika. When Samudra’s father comes looking for her, Mallika spitefully reveals where they are hiding. As Samudra and Munaruna try to escape by diving into the ocean, Munaruna is shot and killed. Samudra handcuffs herself to Munaruna and drowns with him after promising to be together forever.

Commando Karanveer Singh Dogra, is skilled in many aspects of survival, weaponry, and hand-to-hand combat. He is on a mission to eradicate black money, which has been siphoned to banks along with his gang.He goes to Vicky Chaddha’s house where during night time, his wife Maria reveals that they didn’t have a life like this in the past. The film flashes to a flashback where his husband was forced to do all this because when he declined to do a negative job, the very next day, a bomb blast occurred where Vicky was saved but their daughter Tara died. Very soon, Maria kills her husband and says that she is the real Vicky Chaddha. Karan and his gang follow Vicky Chaddha and finally find her transferring money to an account. Karan beats up all the army in her team but doesn’t stop the money transfer. It is then revealed that he changed the account in which the money was scheduled to the transferred and the replaced account which will help the poor people. He said this was planned on the very first day. When Vicky says that police cannot arrest her, Bhavna Reddy shoots Vicky and they get out of there. While Karan and Bhavna will be together, a phone call arrives where Karan says he is waiting for a new mystery to arrive.
