Poojai 2014
Vasudevan aka Vasu (Vishal) is a Coimbatore-based moneylender and also the heir to the Kovai Group, a cloth manufacturing conglomerate, until he was disowned by his mother and matriarch of his joint family Rajalakshmi (Raadhika) due to some misunderstanding. He meets a rich girl Divya (Shruthi Haasan) at a mall, who soon falls in love with him for his good nature. One day, Vasu saves the Additional Superintendent of Police for Coimbatore District Sivakkozhundhu (Sathyaraj) and his wife (Aishwarya) from a group of thugs who work for Anna Thandavam (Mukesh Tiwari), a Pollachi-based businessman and contract killer who kills anyone to acquire their land and money. As Sivakkozhundhu was transferred to Coimbatore district to capture Anna Thandavam, the latter had planned to kill him. Anna Thandavam also plans to illegally grab land sold to a village temple by Vasu’s late father. Raam 2005
The story revolves around a mother-son relationship set in Kodaikanal. The movie commences with Rama Krishna (Jiiva) and his mother Saradha (Saranya Ponvannan), a school teacher, lying in a pool of blood. The police finds that Raam is still alive and arrests him on charges of murdering his mother. Police Inspector Umar (Rahman) works on the case. The story is narrated in a flashback. Raam is a mentally affected teenager (later diagnosed as autistic) living dependent on his mother. His overcompulsive adoration for her lands her in various problems. Raam is provoked easily and tolerates little wrongdoing around him. Next door lives Karthikayeni (Gajala), the daughter of a Sub-Inspector Malaichamy (Murali). She falls for Raam, but upon telling him how she feels, gets a blunt response from him. One day, Saradha is found brutally murdered. Umar grills each and every person connected to her and Raam. Every possible motive Raam might have for murdering his mother is explored. Raam’s neighbors, Malaichamy, and his children are summoned by Umar for interrogation. The police eventually find out that it was Karthika’s brother Satish (Kunal Shah) who committed the murder, fearing Saradha would tell his parents about his drug addiction. When Umar confronts Satish and forces him to surrender, Satish fatally wounds him and escapes, injuring his father in the process. On finding her brother’s hideout, Karthika tries to plead with him to surrender, but he refuses to do so and ties her up. Raam, seeking vengeance, finds the hideout. A brutal fight occurs between the two, and Raam kills Satish. The film ends as the police find the hideout while Raam is meditating on a dilapidated roof.
Jai Hind 1999
Two retired colonels are at loggerheads with each other because one of them had been a traitor to the country. The grandson of the traitor and the grand-daughter of the other colonel fall in love but have to surmount a number of obstacles, including the one created by the girl’s grandpa, before uniting in matrimony. There is also a Brahmin’s daughter who loves the coloned’s grandson. In the end, the Brahmin’s daughter sacrifices her life to save her beloved. The traitor colonel also atones for his treachery.

Maaran (Sathyaraj) is a clerk in the district collector’s office. His life centres around his loving wife (Seetha), his son (Raghuvannan), and his daughter (Preethi Varma). The movie begins with Jeeva (Ajith Kumar), a driving instructor, leading a happy life with his mother (Sujatha). He also fell in love with Swapna (Pooja Umashankar) after several mishaps. Sujatha hides the Jeeva truth that his father (Nizhalgal Ravi), was murdered by a dada named Manthiram (Babu Antony). The mother, much against the boy’s wish, packs off Jeeva’s twin brother, Guru (also Ajith Kumar) with a family who offer to adopt him, who had been witness to the murderer from a close quarter, to a distant town. He escapes from the family and goes to Tuticorin and grows to become a gangster there.
When Jeeva visits Tuticorin, he comes across his elder brother, Guru a.k.a. Thala. Seizing the opportunity, the elder brother kidnaps the younger one and decides to go as the driving instructor to Chennai. Initially, he plans to take revenge on his mother for packing him off from their house at a very young age. He hurts her at every step and even plans to sell off all their property.

Kombaya Pandian (Karthi) is a butcher by profession and he leads his life by virtues. Rebel 2012
Rishi (Prabhas) is the son of Bhupathi (Krishnam Raju). Rishi is influenced by his father’s ideals and grows up just like him. Bhupathi does not want his son to take up violence and sends him to Bangalore for studies and to learn music. There, Rishi falls for an orphan Deepali (Deeksha Seth) and brings her to his house. During the festivals held in their village, Simhadri (Pradeep Rawat) sends thugs to kill Bhupathi and his family, but Rishi eliminates all the thugs. Bhupathi’s brother Jairam (Mukesh Rishi) joins hands with Simhadri so they can kill Bhupathi, Bhupathi’s wife Lakshmi (Rama Prabha), and Deepali. Simhadri tells Rishi that a local goon helped Jairam kill Bhupathi and his family. Simhadri soon kills himself. Some of Bhupathi’s bodyguards are still alive, including Raju (Supreeth). They assist Rishi to get revenge. Two years later, Rishi discovers that a goon named Stephen (K. C. Shankar) was doing illegal business in Hyderabad for a very long time.
