Kandhan Karunai 1967
The film revolves around Lord Murugan, his birth, marriage and his acceptance of the post of the head of the army of heaven. In Hinduism, there are six abodes of lord Muruga, known as the “Arupadaiveedu”. The story behind each of the abodes are portrayed choronologically in the film. It starts with Swamimalai, where Lord Muruga (Master Sridhar) teaches the meaning of the word ‘OM’ to his father, Lord Shiva (Gemini Ganesan). He goes to Palani Hills after a fight over a sacred fruit, that is his second abode. Then he wins over the demon king Surapadman in Thiruchendur and that is his third abode. The King of heaven, Lord Indra offers his Daughter’s hand in appreciation of Lord Muruga’s Victory and he marries her in Thirupparamkunram, his fourth abode. He later marries Valli in his fifth abode of Thiruthani, later after a short dispute between both his wives they amicably settle in Pazhamudircholai, his sixth abode. All the events are summarised by Nakkeerar, a great Tamil Poet portrayed by Sirkazhi Govindarajan at the end of the film.

Raj Singh Puri is best friends with L.K. Malhotra, who is the younger brother of J.K. Malhotra. The brothers are business tycoons and Raj works in their company.
Raj has three daughters. Their mother, Shalini Singh Puri, died in an accident while shopping. The first one, Avantika, gets married through arrangement. The second one, Sania, marries her lover, even though Raj said the family will not fit with their lifestyle and how they’re brought up. The last, Isha, doesn’t believe in love. Sameer Behl (Shahid Kapoor) comes to Mumbai with Bollywood dreams, struggles through the day as a courier boy, and keeps failing in auditions for advertisements. More stereotypes are stuffed in as he refuses to take help from his dad in Delhi, is thrown out from his rented flat by the landlord, and comes away with his calculative companion. One day, a movie director named Rajeev Sharma (Mohnish Behl) sees Sameer dancing and calls him to his office. Soon, Sameer is signed as the male lead in his film, and his friend Tina (Genelia D’Souza) is selected as the choreographer on the same project. Homeless, Sameer sleeps in his car and works as a dance teacher in a school. Subsequently, Sameer loses his film and is disillusioned. Tina finds this out and asks him how he can spend his life like this. After some time, Tina tells him that she also quit the film and did not want to be the choreographer for that film because she saw him upset. Sameer realises the love Tina had for him. Tina encourages him to participate in a television talent-hunt show, the winner of which will win the same role that Sameer was to play. After some time, he agrees to participate in it. After filling up the contest form, he also says “I love you” to Tina. In his screen-test, Sameer dedicates his monologue to his mother. After his monologue, during the interview, he comes to know that his father’s shop in Delhi has been demolished. He promises Tina that he will come back for her and leaves to meet his father, heart-broken about the whole thing. After watching Sameer’s performance on TV, his father convinces him to go back to Mumbai and participate in the show.

As the film begins, Arivudai Nambi (Vijay Antony) is killed by his rivals, who fear their position would be threatened if he were to make it big in politics. Decades later, his son Tamilarasan (Vijay Antony) is accidentally drawn into the murky world of behind-the-screens politicking when he is jailed due to admitting to have hit someone on the road. Two gangster-type baddies with political backing become his enemies, and this in turn brings him closer to Karunakaran (Thiagarajan), a political heavyweight who has his own ambitions. A minister sees Tamilarasan as an enemy because he sees in him Nambi, whom he had conspired to murder. Machinations and counter-machinations grow with the growing political ambitions of Tamilarasan, whose rivals won’t let him and his friend Anjana (Miya) live in peace. Tamilarasan boldly faces all this in his game of one-upmanship and realizes his dream of growing big in politics.
Pariyerum Perumal 2018
Pariyerum Perumal narrates the story of a youth hailing from Puliyankulam village near Tirunelveli. Pariyan (Kathir) belongs to an oppressed caste. The movie begins with the brutal murder of his beloved black dog ‘Karuppi’ (Lit. Blackie in Tamil). The canine hunting companion of Pariyan is the first one we see becoming a victim of caste hegemony.
Pariyan moves on to secure a seat in a law college, where he wishes to become a lawyer like B. R. Ambedkar. He meets Jothi Mahalakshmi alias Jo (Anandhi), a naive girl from Ambasamudram who takes it upon herself to teach English to Pariyan. She eventually falls for his innocence and honesty. This newfound friendship irks Sankaralingam (Lingesh), a fellow law student and Jo’s cousin. He awaits a chance to teach a lesson to Pariyan and establish his caste superiority. He does so while the blissfully unaware Jo invites Pariyan to a family wedding.
Race 1 2008
A voice-over by RD (Anil Kapoor) introduces the four main characters: Ranvir Singh “Ronny” (Saif Ali Khan) who runs a successful business he inherited from his father. His younger brother Rajiv Singh (Akshaye Khanna) who mooches off of Ronny and is an alcoholic. Ronny is dating an upcoming model Sonia (Bipasha Basu), while his personal assistant Sophia (Katrina Kaif) appears to be secretly in love with him. Ronny is also involved in an intense competition with a rival horse-owner Kabir (Dalip Tahil). The film opens with a murder plot involving a car accident which Ronny narrowly survives. When Ronny loses money in a race because his jockey had been bribed by Kabir, Ronny plants a bomb in the jockey’s car and kills him, showing Ronny to be a ruthless businessman. Later, Ronny also destroys Kabir when the latter offers him money to buy his business, which is in debt.
